OK. The apoc tourney is today its 5000 pts!

I'm playing a 100% painted Orks list. I have a battle tested 2500 pt Kan Wall list that I've generated. I can pad this by making one mob 'Ard Boyz and add some extra FA (three defkoptas). I also have a total of 5 HQs... Can I use them all?

Obviously this won't get me to 5000. Soooo I have a AoBR start of a Salamanders Army that totals 800, proxying Vulkan with the Captain and adding a Razorback that I've bought.

All is painted but scraping into the points...

Can I combine the armies and add the extra Ork HQs (and Vulkan)?

Thanks,
G

subquestion... my buddy who's not playing today wants to make an all HQ list.... legal? or just crazy?

Yeah, you can use them all. Apoc basically drops the FOC and any attached limitation, including HQs. The only thing which really matters is which units are troops, for scoring.

You are allowed to field both your Salamanders and Orks at the same time, however, the marines will not benefit from any ork rule/wargear and vice versa, so no KFF saves for your razorback or twin-linked skorchas.

All HQ lists are both crazy and legal. When a guy at a store here brought nothing but four battlewagons to a 40k point battle they were mostly ignored, because there were alo titans hierophants and huge demons all over the place. On turn two he called his (Ghazghkull-empowered) Waagh!, drove up to the enemy frontlines and disembarked all four wagons.

As it turned out, each battlewagon contained 16-18 warbosses, a painboss and a KFF bigmek. The close to 70+ warbosses murderd almost half the enemy forces right there in a huge multi-assault.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

You know, it isn't even unfluffy. Orks get bigger and stronger as they exert their dominance. At Armageddon, there are ork mobs who have survived so long they've grown into giants. Whole units of near-monsterous creatures.

About 100 per Boss, 160 for a pain boss and another 80 for a Bigmek. The Wagon is a further 150. Total is around 8000 points.

A painboss is 125 at most(more like 100), a big mek at least 85. As he had a lot of borrowed models, some MA warbosses and Ghazghkull Thrakka were mixed in. Every wagon was about 2500 points - the battle was 40k vs 40k.

Commissar Typhus: Apoc is all about doing awesome things. That was about as awesome as it can get, nothing wrong with that.

Im not saying that wasn't awesome but the thought of so many bosses lol

The coolest thing I've seen is what was in a sense an artillery dual between a 8000 point battle between IG players

Sorry mate, but I think youre wrong; ANYTHING gets a coversave from the kff, even the enemies. In the dex it says "any units withing 6" ", so I guess they mean ANY unit. Even razorbacks

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)
