Hey, I just starting playing about a month ago with a few friends. We're all new to it, and I chose to start playing Eldar. I do like playing Eldar but my wife got me the starter set for my birthday. So now I've got about 500 points of Orks and SM that I'd like to try out. The one thing that I'm trying to figure out is if all the 5th edition figures are as easy to put together as the ones in Black Reach. The Eldar that I have have all been metal and are sweet. The Black reach stuff is plastic  but very VERY easy to assemble so each has their advantages.

The black reach stuff is designed to be built faster to get you playing quicker. I wouldn't say other plastic kits are harder to assemble they just have more pieces...and welcome to Dakka!

Welcome to Dakka! Hückleberry hit the nail on the head, AoBR is designed to just snap together so you can get playing quickly. Normal kits have more bits and take a bit longer to assemble, but they aren't particularly hard to do.

Thanks for the welcoming attitude.
Mostly I've been picking up metal eldar model sets, and I like them a lot but the two part epoxy pisses me off sometimes.
I do like the metal figures better, I've dropped them on the floor and the AP1 attack that is floor hasn't phased them.
I've been toying with the idea of building up some Orks based on the AoBR that I got; but, I'm not trying to abandon my Eldar.
I've just got to talk the group into some Game Styles that allow an alliance of Eldar/SM/Ork team so I could field everything I've got.
