My first try at digi camo, i dont think it would be someting i would do across a large force as it would be hella time consuming without masking, but i thought i would try free hand, its not great and is a pretty bad picture taken with my phone but thought i would share and see what you guys think.

Not bad, especially for free hand. How does it look from the other angles though? (head on, rear on, 45 degree profile.

EDIT 1: Did you use a micron pin for the plate lining?

EDIT 2: you should really upload stuff like this to the Dakka Gallery.

I must say this is very impressive. What type of brush were you using to get such sharp edges on that scale?

Its just a GW standard brush, i have some brushes more suited to this (notably a very short rosemary and co)
but it was just a trial run on a gun drone so i used what was literally to hand.
thank for the comments also guys

Looks really nice! I haven't seen such a camo pattern tried on miniatures before. It would be interesting to see if you could continue to paint it around the sides and such, to see how a more 3-dimensional object would look with it!

Just getting my feet wet with Wargaming - I'm excited!!

Cool, nevertheless an entire army painted with this scheme would be time consuming without some masking or template of some kind. Perhaps. you could limit this to vehicles.

Astra Militarum
Iron Warriors Army: Enyo Company
Enyo (Greek: Ενυώ, English translation: "warlike" in Greek mythology; Roman: Bellona), was an ancient goddess of war, acting as a counterpart and companion to the war god Ares. She is also identified as his sister, and daughter of Zeus and Hera in a role closely resembling that of Eris; with Homer in particular representing the two as the same goddess. As goddess of war, Enyo is responsible for orchestrating the destruction of cities

The fire warrior is cool, perhaps you could also try it to the weapon. Tau weapons, being flat, give you a nice surface to work on... Just out of curiosity, how log did it take you to paint the model?

Thanks for the comments guys.
the fire warrior model was already painted jack, but had more traditonal grey camo on the helm and shoulder, however not to long in total, it was based in a humrol tank grey so it was just a speed paint to begin with, i think about 35-40 minutes to redo the camo and maybe the same for the initial paintjob.

Well done! That is an exceptionally hard scheme to pull off, as it doesn't scale well. Very impressive.
