I've seen weird things happen in games before but what about single units preforming things that are hard to belive?

I had my Executioner Leman Russ fire all its plasma weapons and its lascannon (it had sat still) at a single space marine Razorback tank. said razorback had a pair of rhinos next to it on its left and another razorback to its rear right. there were no other targets of high priority in range.

The first plasma shot misses out right, scatters and hits behind the target Razorback. the second hits the target razorback dead on, second curves off (scattered) and impacts Rhino A, same with the third shot but it scattered and hits Rhino B. the 4th shot scattered and hit the second razorback, the final shot scattered a tiny bit but the BS acounted for it and hit dead on the target razorback.

All hits pen. Target Razorback is stuned (2) and imobilised (4) by the Executioner Plasma Cannon hits but explodes from the Lascannon, Rhino A gets wrecked (5) , Rhino B explodes , and the second Razorback explodes . Multiple bad rolls later on part of the space marine player and chunks of the squads that emerged from the exploded vehicales are missing. Any survivors are mowed down by my other units next turn.

Aformentioned Space Marine player was not happy my single little tank killed so many of his units.


Any of your units do something spectacular alone?

Deff dread routed half the tyranid army I was facing all by himself. Of course, the other guy had mostly gaunts, but he still rushed a tervigon and had it miss him three times in close combat.

Lemu. Russ vanquisher. Spies a brass scorpion of khorne across the field In a spearhead game. Says "you" hits, pens, chain reaction, followed by another, followed by a 5. The thing has a massive explosion, and wipes out 3 other units including a chaos termie squad.

Spore mines. 1 spore mine kill 3 space marines.

A gun drone, killed a marine in melee combat wiping out the unit that was holding an objective. One drone. Frisbee of death

(Back in 4th ed) I had a Broodlord charge my Heroic Senior Officer (HSO), hit with four attacks and wound with three, no armor saves. Had to fall back on the HSO's refactor field...5,5,6...saved all three, so the HSO swings back, three hits. He has just a power weapon, so sixes to wound...All three wound! And the broodlord had no invulnerable saves!

In a resent game, I fired my Manticore at a Leman Russ, got two shots and scored a direct hit on it. The second one scattered onto another Leman Russ sitting next to the first one. Scored a penetrating hit on both and a vehicle destroyed on both!

I had the sergeant in a tactical squad run down like, 20 Kroot or so.

I had a unit of grots just OWN a unit of assault Terminators once. Never seen so many ones rolled by someone that wasn't me

I had one rokkit buggy shrug off every hit that got it (fairly few..other guy kept missing, while driving around the board nuking tanks.

Every shot seemed to hit, pen and either wreck or explode a vehicle. He was totally gobsmacked that one 35 pt model could take several hundred points of tanks

Had a Thunderbolt once (using Forgeworld 4e rules) get hit by a Tau missle and it got stunned so I elected to have the pilot bail out because it would be close to last turn anyways. Using a simple scatter the Thunderbolt crashed into a Hammerhead and BOOM killed a crapload of Fire Warriors around it.

My pilot, unfortunately, ejected into the midst of three Battlesuits with marker drones and was in close combat immediately. Being the Tau that they were and with my pilot having a pistol, I managed to get 2 wounds on the first round of combat.

One marker drone went down and a battlesuit followed. The Tau just whiffed their attacks and then next turn another drone went down and the pilot won CC and the Tau ran!

Due to the awesomeness of Airman First Class Johnathan Kelly of the 101st Sol Shadowrunners, my enemy did not earn the points for the Thunderbolt because Kelly made it safely back behind Commissar Yarrick's CCS currently locked in Mortal Kombat with Farsight...

One Wych beats and runs down 30 Guardsman with a Commissar.

I once had a single Space Marine sergeant charge a full squad of Necron Warriors, win combat, sweep them, and phase the army. To make it sweeter, I had been totally losing that game.

Pff thats nothing,I saw a single Guardsman sgt. with a chainsword and a laspistol kill Draigo in CC.

A little bacstory up to this. Draigo had been walking across the board wrecking my friend's IG army. A dread blows up his chimera holding said infantry squad, and killed a few. The explosion just barely reaches Draigo. The GK player just laughs and says "Well this'll be an easy save". He then proceeds to roll a 1. Next turn Draigo charges in, and kills all but the sarge in the Infantry squad. The sarge swings back with 3 hits, and manages to put a final wound on Draigo and kill him. We all just sat there and laughed.

I also have had my marbo wipe out an entire TH/SS terminator squad on his own multiple times, but then again, this is marbo. We could make an entire seperate thread for things he's done and we'd never see an end to it...

I had a winged Hive Tyrant wipe out just about an entire 1000 point Eldar army single handed. Turn 2 it hit a jetbike squad, turn 3 a Dire Avenger squad, turn 4 the Farseer, turn 5 Swooping Hawks. Each turn wiping the entire unit out.

The only things it didn't kill were the Falcon mounted Banshees and support platform squad. The platforms were killed by Gargoyles and the Banshees were running away all game.

The rest of my Tyranid army sat around scratching its ass.

BA Drop Pod lands right beside my Monolith. Hatches blow off, and a full unit of melta vets open fire on the Monolith.

All but one hits and pens, and nobody rolls better than "Stunned" on the damage chart. The Monolith makes every single one of its Living Metal rolls, and shrugs everything off.

Then the Monolith drops its pie play on the unit, and the entire unit is annihilated.




Because that's how the Monolith rolls.

If anyone watches MWG they had an Apoc battle Report where a single Guardsmen with a meltagun took a ridiculous amount of structure points away from a Warlord Titan and eventually brought it down. This was not multiple guardsmen. It was just one.

I had a squad of Pink horrors beat some white scars in combat...and run them down.

a recent apoc game, my revenant deployed 2nd turn popped an enemy stompa. next turn, dropped a chaos warhound. finished up with smoking a baneblade, then 3 full squads of longfangs before the game was done. he also for some weird reason never even took a shot. nobody even shot at it once. the piolet musta been like "Im invisible death machine B****S!!"

that titan now has numerous badges of honor and pretty good record. in 10 games he has 15 super heavy kills, including 2 final blows on reaver titans, and has only been destroyed once, and crippled (no guns, immobilized) one other time. otherwise the worst he has suffered has been the loss of a SP or some stunned results. with big brotha phantom now in the army, he has been promoted to chief phantom bodygaurd. the phantom was less impressive. his first outing he wrecked a baneblade, then got stun locked the rest of the game, and his second game he managed to kill a crap ton of infantry but scored no super heavy kills.

My Straken Solo'd a squad of Immortals along with an Over Lord and Cryptek.

With only one wound left.

All I could do is laugh and high five the only other IG player in the shop Rambos all of us are Rambos.

Defiler, he is my MEQ squad eraser.

Then again any unit with a battle cannon can do it.

Well I had this happen to me:

Single firewarrior explodes a land raider with an EMP grenade and kills 4/5 terminators inside. Fire warrior lives.

'Twas BS, worst rolling on my part ever.

single Stealth Suit kills a winged tyrant (the tyrant had only one wound left, but it was still unexpected!)

First turn of the game, playing as Orks. My opponent had moved his Dreadnought forward on his turn, so I fire across the board with my tank. Not only does it hit, the Dradnought explodes.

Also charged a ten man unit of Terminators with 3 Chaos Spawn. Won with the Spawn taking one wound.

A single model one: Blastmaster Noise Marine survived three turns of mortar bombardment, killing two units of IG before the fourth mortar killed him.

I have an Aspiring Champ with powerfist who has so far killed a TH/SS Termi SM Captain and a Necron Lord. (the Lord got back up again, but it still counts!)

And by himself? If he's in a unit its not that amazing.

Different games. He was in a unit, but he did all the damage.

A unit of 6 scarabs charge into a group of nine nobs, each with one wound left on them.

Kill 8 of them, last one flees.

Can units of multi wound models split their wounds like that? I thought you always had to remove whole models whenever possible.

A single Drop Pod saved my line from falling in a tourney game. I was facing Tyranids, and the pod's occupants (a Sternguard Combi-Melta squad) were quickly killed off by a swarm of Genestealers on the first turn. The Pod, however, was ignored, and then proceeded to take out a Zoanthrope, a Hive Guard, and take the last wound off a Tyrannofex in a stunning display of ridiculously good rolling.

My marine with melta gun had his razorback and whole squad blown up in the 1 st turn, so he charged blindly; he shot down a land speeder, my opponent said it was just luck and ignored him, next turn he shot and killed a thunderwolf cavalry, once again he was ignored due to it just being 'luck', so he immobilised a vindicator, this time my opponent charged with a thunderwolf and no wounds were caused either way, he then survived the next assault tun as well, next my opponent charged in with a rune priest and 10 sky claws... and I won the combat, even killing one skyclaw but they stayed to fight. So my marine realised he would die soon so he ordered a vindicator to shoot at a nearby enemy squad and scatter onto the combat, killing nearly half the remaining skyclaws and the thunderwolf and, unfortunately, my marine.

Now whenever I use him in my gaming circle, my friends do everything they can to take him out on the first turn just in case.

In my old space wolves army my lone wolf equipped with two pairs of lighting claws took out a full squad of chaos space marines, a greater deamon (already wounded) and then took out a small squad of bikes before being shot up
