Had a play with the fantastic Einherjar (Space Dwarf) kit from Wargames Atlantic - Dwarves are all well and good, but I thought it would be fun to build some stubby alien scouts, using Einherjar bodies and weapons, and alien heads from the Maelstrom's Edge Broken Infantry kit.

Protip: When you're digging through your toolbox for a particular drill bit, the one that you just threw back in there because it was the wrong size will still be the wrong size when you find it again in 10 seconds or so...

That's in part just the photo, sadly. So far, it's just a single coat of Iyanden Darksun over Army Painter Plate Metal spray, and doesn't actually look as bright and clean in real life.

Wow, that terrain is amazing! Very alien!

Neat idea on the trees insaniak.

While I do not really have a board set-up that would use those...I might do something for Necromunda for glowing moss.

Yeah, the Grognard bodies and Karist arms fitting together so well was a very nice surprise.

I've orders a box of Raumjager now to do something similar with some Epirian parts...

I've been largely avoiding the new Necromunda models, as the scale creep makes them look odd against my existing collection. But for Goliaths, at least, scale creep didn't seem like as big an issue, and I loved the look of the new Stimmers and Forge Born box. 1 of each assembled so far, with the Stimmer just built as normal, for use either as an Ogryn or with some retro-fit rules for original Necromunda. I made some modifications to the Forgeborn, so I can run her as a regular Juve or Ganger, switching out the welder-thing for some regular weapons and shortening her thighs to better match the proportions and height of the older models. She's still a fraction taller, but doesn't look completely out of place. Still needs some gap filling...

...and apparently some more mould line removal on the old bolt pistol. Oops.

Nice work on trying to match the newcromunda with the OG.

And the terrain looks fab, in a proper cartoon-y, sci-fi manner!

Thanks for sharing

A conversion of the plastic Angel kit from MEdge, whipped up last week for a putty tutorial, and painted this week with Army Painter paints and Quickshade.

There's a walkthrough (as usual) here.

The angel kit is a lot of fun, simply because the possibilities of what you can do with it are practically endless. I love the fact that it's so easy to make it unique.

Meanwhile, just for something different, here's a snapshot of all of the terrain articles that I've put together for Maelstrom's Edge to date. There are a few of them...

...and all found here.
