@ Rouge Wolves: The closest to a step-by-step I have is some pics I took whilst painting this bloke:

@Lumen: Cheers mate, glad you like it. Just about done with a squad of Skitarii, hopefully get some pics up during the week.

@DiDDE: Thanks for the kind comments, I'm finishing off a lumpy tank at the mo so will post some pics as I do the weathering. Re the cam nets, it's just medical gause, soaked in a mix of paint. water and PVA then plonked onto the model.

@ Commander Cain: The transport vehicle was made by Digits @ Ammobunker. Got a fantastic IG thread called ' Drogan 22nd Voltigeurs' in the 'Warhammer 40,000 Project Logs' section. (tried to post a link, but can't get it to work at the mo). Great conversions, both grunts and vehicles.

@MajorTom: Cheers

@ Rouge Wolves: I'll have to engage brain for that one. I've done three batches of troops in this camo and each lot has come out a tad different

I based the painting on this:

Was more of a rough guide than a copy as the scale was a bit tricky.

All the paints I used were Vallejo.
The base layer was 'dark sand', shaded with a dark brown wash, then dry brushed with more 'dark sand.

The light brown splodges were 'English uniform' and the light green 'Russian uniform'.

Over the top of the light green was a smaller area of 'military green'.
The little squiggles were a mix of 'German cam. black brown' slightly lightened with 'buff' (there is probably a good ready mixed shade for this),

followed by little blobs of 'buff'.

Finally the whole thing was given a thin wash of olive green oil paint to pull it all together.

Apologies for re-posting the same pics.

If you try this pattern let me know, I'd love to see the results.

Great looking bunker! Oop FW terrain??

Camo pattern looks great, my favorite to date!

Also, I checked out Digits thread, wow! It could take a lot of time to get through all 310 pages of it but I can try

Anyway . . . here's some of the 'oh so nearly finished' stuff :

Wow! That is some impressive weathering, I would be interested in a step-by-step tutorial the next time some armour comes your way!

The ad mech guys look brilliant, great use of bitz and a great paintjob to finish them all off.

Always eager for more,

Something else from the 'nearly finished' pile:

The gun shield idea is not mine, was origionally done by Le Mediko on Warseer.

May well mount it on this WIP bunker that will one day end up embedded in a terrain board:

Great looking bunker! The lascannon looks great with the shield also, in fact, the more I look at that bunker, the more I want to make one myself! I also feel like buying some of those guard on the bunker, could we maybe have some closeups of them? Pleeese!!!

@ sarpedons-right-hand: Yeah, it's a bore but it should reset on the 18th.
Some of these mini's I did several years ago (the metal ones) I redid the bases to make them blend in with the more recent stuff.

@ Commander Cain: The IG on the bunker are metal Valhallans, here's some other pictures:

I really love the guy with the 3 magazine pouches strapped across his chest. It makes it so much more dynamic and realistic. The vehicles look top notch too. Im really digging the pintle mounted heavy bolter with the spade grips.

What does the tracked vehicle count as?

The 'tracked truck', not sure what it could be used as with regard to a list entry, possibly a Trojan. More likely a piece of static scenery.

The chest rigs I started doing a while back, but it was only after being introduced to push molds that I could amass enough to do these.

Here's the finished 'Thunderer', will end up with a different crew figure, once I get around to painting it.

Oops . . . This one was fairly simple, just chopped the legs from a set of tank crew legs. I've seen a couple where people have cut him at the waist, but I wanted to keep the armour plate and belt kit. Personally I don't think he has the right helmet for a tank commander, too infantry. Makes a good officer or regimental adviser.

I chopped a lot of legs for these guys. I had a load of Catachan legs, not my favorite, but I like the boots. Managed to make quite a few fit, so loads of this platoon have nice jungle boots

Nice work! any wip shots of that inquisitor/first dude?

Those crusaders loo very cool! Are they the resin models? The edges look very crisp. (You may want to blast the hooded one with a hairdryer for a sec to straighten out the sword handle )

Cargo transport looks ace!

Here you go, the Inquisitor was a limited edition cast for the Ammo Bunker:

The crusaders are the old metal option, well spotted on the handle, a bit of thumb pressure and it's straight- Thanks.
