I believe i found a shiny Ditto and Dratini once.

Man i miss my old team from red version.... need to find a gameshark or whatever they are called so i can get my Kanghaskan and Charizard again.

HG/SS sucked too. I found it insulting to be honest. I loved the originals, and HG/SS were just cheap imitations. Plus, the gameplay was boring.

So wait, you dislike the game because "the story is stale" and it's a "cheap imitation"? And the gameplay is boring? Yet the originals are great?

I think what Samus actually meant is that the originals were great because they were new, the story was your typical "save the world" scenario but in a slightly different manner. Now all the recent ones follow the same path but and the over used formula has become boring.

That what it came across as to me anyway.

You need a gameshark for that why? Just get Fire Red/Leaf Green.

Yep and then transfer them across from there. Have a team of 80ish Pokemon on there all without Rare Candy's

Yeah, but Black and White have finally done something at least somewhat different. I mean, there is still an evil team, but they really, really kick the crap out of the other teams. They make Team Rocket seem nice.


Also one time I found a Shiny Zubat. That was my only shiny IIRC, unless the Red Gyarados counts, which I doubt it does. Also, in crystal you could get a shiny easily from the day care, too bad they left that out of HG/SS.

Team Plasma is kind of boring compared to the others though.

Just beat the 8th Gym leader yesterday and now making my way through 'Victory Road', what level are the Elite 4's pokemon just so I know how much to train my guys up?

55 should be plenty, the league isn't hard. N and Ghetis (sp?) are the difficult ones, and you can leave and go back to that to train if you need (and by then you'll have reshiram or zekron to help out).

The elite 4 are all lvl 47 or 48, then N and Ghetsis have a alot of 52s, i ran in with my team mostly at 48 or 50 and i had no problems, but i would also sugest lvl 55 or more

Just beat the Elite 4 Last Night with a team of 46-48 and that wasn't too difficult;
Serperior - 46 (47 after finish)
Golurk - 46 (47 after finish)
Zebrastrika - 46 (48 after finish)
Victini - 47 (48 after finish)
Seismitoad - 47 (48 after finish)
Haxorus - 48 (no change)
It's just a case of like all others taking lots of revives and hyper potions and then you win

I just beat Alder and the league second time round last night, now I'm lost for something to do

I had....
Victini 60 (62 by end)
Tyranitar 60 (61 by end)
Samurott 60 (61 by end)
Hydreigon 65 (no change)
Braviary 60 (62 by end)
Kyurem 75 (76 by end)

Everything Alder has is in the high 70's

random question guys, can the older pokemon games be played on the Ds or have the cartridges changes since blue/red and the silver/gold ones etc?

Well i know my Red wont fit so im guessing the rest wont either

The GBA carts will, but that's up to the DS Lite if I remember correctly (I think DSi and DSiXL don't even have the port). It's less to do with the cartridge fitting and more to do with the programming on it.

If you have a DS or DS lite (not XL or i) there is a GBA slot on the DS, you can use this to "pal park" pokemon from Fire Red, Leaf Green, Ruby, Saphire and Emerald onto Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. You can then use any DS (not sure about the 3DS though) to transfer them from D/P to Black or White once you've beaten the league 1st time round. As Tazz said, you cant do anything with the original gameboy games (red, bue, yellow, gold, silver, crystal).

How do you go about transfering them from D/P and Plat to B/W or can you only do it from R/S/E etc without having 2 DS's?
Beat the Elite 4 and Ghestis/N now so just wanted a hand. Also think it's rather silly having all other trainers Pokemon in the unlocked parts at like level 65ish when your's are normally only around about 50.

You need a second DS to transfer them from D/P/Pt, you cant transfer directly from LG/FR/R/S/E to B/W, it has to go via a 4th gen game.

Regarding the lvl 65 trainers, they are still easy to kill, they use rubbish pokemon so (despite the level) are worse than the guys at the league. Just be happy with all the exp you get from them

So when you go to the Poke Transfer lab do they end up in White Forest?

I felt dirty after beating Ghetsis...

His Hydreigon could take out both reshiram and haxorus in one hit with dragon pulse, so I kept swapping between them and reviving the other so that he ran out of pp, then hit him with dragon claw when he didn't one hit K.O me.

I'm ashamed..

Don't feel too bad. Hedreigon doesn't even evolve until the early 60's. Dude was cheating.
