It's been years since I've posted here, good grief!

So, a number of years ago, when I first started playing Orks, and I came across Irondog's Potato Head Stompa http://www.irondogstudios.com/images/tater/mek_tater.html , my friends and I were in awe of his work (and laughing ourselves into a stupor!). I jokingly said "I should make one of my own!" And my friends challenged me to do just that. Well, I ended up finding about 7 potato head toys at a thrift shop for $10, so I realized early on that I could make a whole bunch of these. With that in mind, for my first attempt, I opted to save originality for the next models, and decided to just reproduce Irondog's stompa as close as I could, because well, I love it, and I wanted *that* Tater Titan! So, up front, I get ZERO points for originality here, as my goal was to reproduce his model. I based it off his hobby blog and images, but as those weren't really the same thing as an instruction manual, this project took a lot of trial and error. Plus, like him, I only worked on this in my free time. It's been about 7 months now, and I've finally got this Super Heavy Spud to the point where he's ready to be shown!

I think I've posted in this thread several times over the past 3 years, crazy how old it is. Here's a Mechanicus guy I did for a squad of specialized void combat Skitarii, with a beefier mace than the scrawny thing on the sprue.

Grim Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain

A Protoss colony world

I just put the finishing touches on this one:

It's a Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain on a bike. I used parts from several different kits to put this guy together, and I'll be painting him next month for the monthly painting challenge.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Nothing hugely in depth but pretty pleased with my DE Archon. It borrows from the conversion in the codex, I think it looks much better than the stock model.

The head is going to be gloss black with a mechanicum symbol across it, like the one on the middle guy here. Also I hate myself and they're all getting white color schemes.

First of all, this is an amazing show of conversions!! I love it! This is my favorite aspect, as I am only a so-so painter. Thanks all for sharing. I know I'm late on this band wagon...but hey I just joined.

I'm cheating and putting more than one because I can't choose...sorry.
First my St' Celestine conversion

Next my rough rider sgt. Whole unit is converted this way.

Finally Firesap, my young and wayward Dryad Heroine

Please forgive me for more than one. My gaming group is here and there isn't a consensus...Anyway, more at Edwardmystcreations.weebly.com

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.
