Yeah, some naughty rumor monger is getting a couple falses. Oh snap. I should go update some stuff.

Still seems a lot to me. Not because you don't get a decent amount of stuff in the box, but as an initial buy-in for new gamers it should be cheaper. £50 is a good threshold for the first game to draw people in.

I think between $50 - $60 would be good. $105 seems like a bit much to me.

Model-wise I really like those chosen, though the setup for the unit is weird. You have 2 regular guys and a bunch of guys with special melee weapons.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't really like the cultists.

Yes, aside from the Hellbrute, this isn't selling itself to me. Not their best work IMHO. IoB was much better in sculpt terms.

The cultists are a missed opportunity IMO, and the amount of straight up clones and mirror clones (the wonders of digital sculpting!) is staggering. I thought the set would be a good source of extra SM bodies, but these are too visibly DA and removing all the bits would take ages, so they do nothing for me. Chosen are great, as is the Dread. I will probably just buy those second-hand. I don't care for the DA chaplain, I already have 10 chaplains.

Yeah, they're pretty good. Never really been that into Chaos Marines and not looking to start an army. Maybe that's why I feel underwhelmed

I think I was hoping for the cultists to look more like soldiers and less like people who escaped from an S & M club.

Hmmm yes yes, we are pleased, very pleased.

Buy the kit, swap my chaos for someone else's DA, add a dreadnought and a box of vanilla terminators and I think I can call that done without any other major additions.

I dunno, but if they re-do the CSM box to look like these guys I would be very happy.

You're name is Noisy_Marine and you DON'T want guys from a bondage club!? That's what Noise Marines are all about!

They look like Cawdor gangers and have bits of Imperial uniforms all over. I LOVE the champion with the Commissar's coat. Love him.

Well, they might give them DE treatment - obsolete the entire miniature range in one fell swoop. Given that many existing CSM minis are of that era, it's not impossible.

I don't see why they wouldn't. The old box will just look so pants next to these beauties.

Also is it me or are those CSM bulking out compare to previous models. The really seem to be growing over the edge of a base?

ooooooook?

Well lets talk about the minis... is it me or that cultist looks like bubble headed and chimp sized arms? I need more pics before I make my mind about these ones.

It's still a huge improvement over AoBR in terms of the quality of the sculpts.

I don't know what I was expecting from the cultists, but I think it wasn't really met.

The great news is that once the Friday the 13th heads are cut off, I can slap on much better heads and be happier with the product. The alternative weapons make me happy enough for the moment. I can use those to kit bash much better cultists, plus now there are rules to use the home-brewed cultists and traitor guard.

I wonder if the specialist games section is going to see a jump in activity as people buy Necromunda models to represent cultists. Those models look way better.

I love the new cultists and don't like the Necromunda stuff. The new cultists look versatile and have me looking forward to a separate box of them, whereas the old Necromunda models are metal and look like a collection of 80's rock band rejects.

Cultists look neat, as does the Hellbrute. The rest is a little moot to me though, despite being great models, I can't go vanilla scale marines. =/

Anyone know the price (UK) yet? The White Dwarf page seems to have cut that off.... =(

I thought that's why people turned to chaos? Their rock band dreams fell apart so they sought solace in a chaos cult.

I dunno, I like the disheveled look of ex-guardsman that some of the new models have, but I really don't like their heads. As others have said it looks like a gimp party. But those are easy enough to swap. I will probably be picking up a box or two to mash together with my guard.
