Lucifer, you'r marine is finished! All I have to do is paint his base and send him out!

We couldn't come up with a name for him , so I just named him "Gretar"(it says so on the ribbon thing on his shoulder pad.)

Before you send him, could you paint the areas in-between each plate of leg and arm armor bolt gun metal?
And that reminds me, I need to send you yours
I'll try to send it out early this week.

Lucifer, your marine will be sent out at around 8:00 in the morning, should get him within a week or so.

Btw, git, did you'r marine arrive in one piece, and was there any damage to the paintjob at all?

no he isn't, the chapter is from the raven guard. MY gf is still writing the fluff since it is her chapter. but so far the main idea is that there planet has been blown up due to huge chaos influence, they were friends with the inquisitor in charge so they were given a chance to take back their planet. By trying to take back their planet the violence and war ended up killing the entire planet!

hope that helps you with your fluff stuff. post a link here so that we can all look at it!

From what I have seen if Someone swapped out enough marines for other peoples, they could have a very diverse army of red corsairs... the old version of them anyway, ya know the ones with X's over the old chapter and imperial symbols...

Everyone, I have some stuff to share!

I just finished painting this marine, he is a Son of the Ouroboros

(yes I know Ouroboros is supposed to be in a circle, I just thought the infinity sign would be cooler)
This is going to be the tac squad's flamer (Ultrasmurf 4th company)

WM, he is your marine with the minor changes

Same for yours, Sage

And here is a group shot of all the tac squad members so far.

WM, Gretar, and Iceangel, since all your marines are so epic, they will be an honor guard squad, rather than individual Sgt.s

And gretar, could you also paint the wire going into the power sword arm metal as well?

Sage, has my marine got to you yet? I sent it at the same time as Gits, so should be arriving soon.

Hey guys! I've actually made some significant progress on Araksi's bug boy and Gretar's objective marker (which is what he wanted in trade for his marine). I wish I could post my progress on the ork but it must be the order I'm painting it in or something, but I just don't feel that there's anything worth showing yet. I will put a photo of Gretar's objective to date on the objective marker trade thread though. It's my first attempt at sculpting anything so be kind (its really simple stuff but a challenge none-the-less).

Great picks Lucifer!

Thanks.
Feth, it happened again. I painted up a test model then fell in love with the scheme.
I may have to paint my robed marines as Sons of Oruoboros now.

Doh, part of the bark fell off. I super glued the other half on tho, so you should be good.

Sorry for not posting the pics I said I would yesterday, we've been moving stuff to make room in the house for the game table.

Two comments here..

You'r pictures all of a sudden appear much better, and adds quality to the minis. The Son of the Ouroboros looks very nice, and only thing I have to comment on is his eyes. I dunno if its just the picture or not, but they kinda just blend in with the greyish colour of the armour. If I were you, I'd try yellow or red, but again, maybe its only the pictures. Oh, and , you a a moldine running across the helmet too. Splendid job however, I might even make another swap with you and get me one of these

Not, to my painting. No I cannot paint it before I send it out, becouse its already been sent out. Nevertheless, the wire isn't going anywere, so you have full permisssion to do whatever to it once it arrives

I think when posting pics of others' Marines etc - you may need to make it more clear I think Lennysmash painted the Marine in Git's post. (and if he didn't, then I'm confused, and the point still stands )

Thanks gretar.
I tried to clean up all the mold lines, but I guess I missed that one.
Porkuslime, what color did you use for the armor of your marine?
(I want to remove mold lines and fix my splotches around the eyes)

And gretar, if you wouldnt mind waiting a day, I could paint up a Son of Oruoboros, and ship both to you at once.

I painted the marine, but Gits did that awesome job with the base. It suits him so well. The marine btw guys is Dhenab Stone from a white basecoat, then highlighted with bleached bone. Though I suppose you could always finish with a highlight of crisp white.

@Sage, it concerns that he's not got to you, I hope he's not been lost to 'Mail-strom'. If he doesn't turn up give me a shout and I get another better marine painted for you. Don't worry about the delay mate, we've all had them I think.

Well.. the marine was primered with Krylon Russet Brown spray paint.. and I was able to find a matching paint at my local Hobby Lobby in their craft paint area, a Brick Red. Once the model was done being painted, I washed it with Devlan Mud.

You're absolutely correct!

It was painted by Lennysmash as part of our trade, I just based it. I'll adjust the text in the original post accordingly.

Hey Lennysmash!

Your marine is already the highest rated figure in my entire gallery, congratulations! Not enough votes to get a rating yet, but it's somewhere above 8.25 painting, 8.75 coolness!

Would you mind a BFM from me for an AoBR?
I don't have any spare AoBR ones, but I have a couple of the old BFM (my first Son of Oruoboros is a BFM)
