Why do some people feel like females need to be Space Marines? I get and agree men and women can be equals. This is a nerdy game, mostly played by males. Yet some morons feel like females need to be Marines? Why? I hate it. Leave some things to nerdy guys. Female Space Marines. Really? The Battle Sisters are your Army.

No not a chauvinist. just…feth off with this what men can do women can do. Let us nerdy fellas live out the lore. Without some jackass wanting to cause controversy. Space Marines = Males (only). Sisters of Battle (females). Still bad ass. Never doubted that. Let the boys have the Marines. The ladies are Sisters. Any made up lore that has Space Marine women, plain and simple bs.

There's a 60page thread for that in background you might want to check out for the reasoning. Though your post doesn't sound like you actually want to read arguments.

Other than whining a bit about it, and sisters are not really a great alternative. They fairly sexist undertones as well when used as some shield to this debate.

But here is a reason, the emperor himself is a bit sexist and not as smart as he really thinks he was. This means that with tradition and a huge misunderstanding of the technology over the years has lead to no one able to even make the small changes necessary.
And dogma in the imperium is all ready pushed to near breaking it.

Even if a chapter did for what ever reason they wouldn’t advertise it, and there marines wouldn’t look very different as they are changed a great deal going though the process.
This would also be far better if GW had not been awful with representation in other places over the years and finally now starting to catch up.

The answer to this question is always the same:

There are no female Space Marines. Space Marines can only be men. Space Marines will always be men.

... until GW says otherwise.

Female marines have been around since Rogue Trader. Little Sisters of our Martyred Lady or some such. Black armour, red stripe on helmet, white trim.
No back mounted power packs.

Let me finish before you go hitting that quote button.

At the start of 2nd Ed 40k went through a massive rationalisation as GW formalised many of the nebulous, contradictory and wild concepts that existed in the 'Wild Wild West' of the Rogue Trader days. Many of the things from that era were done away with, even basic things like what Space Marines were. New things were created, existing things got reimagined, and other things got thrown-out completely.

This is why saying "But in Rogue Trader..." doesn't mean much. In Rogue Trader there was a half-Eldar Chief Librarian in the Ultramarines Chapter, a Chapter that was created to replace the original Ultramarines that all turned traitor. A lot of RT concepts are gone, and play no role in 40K as we know it today.

How is this thread not locked yet? I just assumed a mod changed the title to "No." as a response to the very premise.

The emperor was actually a massive idiot and created more problems for the imperium long term than Chaos did. Literally everything that went wrong in the Heresy can be traced back to ole empy being a HUGE dip gak. There would have been a massive schism/war eventually just based on him being a dumb a-hole. Tzeentch could have just sat back and watched him destroy his own empire.

How stupid the Emperor actually was is a huge part of why I think it's hilarious that Trumpettes refered to 45 as the God Emperor.
