No real news on the Nobz. They also got their skin finished and also need mostly belts and leather straps done.

@Dysartes: Sadly I do not know at this point. The customer does the bases himself to make them fit his table.

On a different note (but it's still sci-fi related), I've had a very fun Infinity game last Thursday. Second game, my opponent and I weren't really great with the rules but it was a very fun game. I'm pretty enthusiastic about that system at the moment.

Right-o. After some busy days prior to christmas eve and some kicking back over the past two days it's back to the painting table. Deffkoptas are finished (I actually managed to finish them in the morning of the 24th), but there were no real substatial things left to do. Just some little details and such.

Hope everyone of you had enjoyable christmas holidays so far. I think it's soon enough to take stock - so what did you get?


In terms of wargaming stuff, I got myself a bunch of Remotes (Drones) for Infinity. From my sister's BF and fellow 40k player I got a selction of the more obscure paints of the GW paints range, from my sister I will get an AWESOME miniature I asked her for (and which is still on its way from the US probably) and from my brother I got the reaper expansion for Talisman. Good stuff.

Oh, and there's that other thing. Remember that game that inexplicably isn't 40k and which I've been droning on about for the past few months? Well, they had a painting competition (initiated and hosted by the great Blitzjaeger) on their official forum which I entered in a few categories and placed first and second in the Single Miniature category and first in the Group/Diorama/Duel category.

I wasn't allowed to post pictures of my entries due to anonymous voting but now, that the results are out, I'm finally allowed to post pictures!

Alrighty, I hope you all recovered from possible hangovers already, hope you had a nice New Year's Eve and all the best to you for 2012!

My New Year's Eve actually turned out to be the best in a while, despite starting out weird. First, I went to visit a friend whom I hadn't seen in the past month due to her studying abroad. 't was nice, a cup of coffee, exchanging late christmas presents and such. And did I ever get an awesome one:



Nice, eh? My friend had found it at her parent's place. It was from the time her brother was into Warhammer for a few months or something like that. All the pots are of the screw top variety so many of the paints are dried up badly. I'll have to see if I can still salvage something. It's just cool to have that box, some of the old brushes and so on. It also has got three or four of the empty paintpots they used to sell and a bunch of paints that are OOP now. Also included is a painting guide which is cool (for pictures mainly, not real content). Anyhow, a very fun thing to own.

Going back to the New Year's Eve - I was really not into the idea of celebrating all that much and some people from my circle of friends somehow didn't seem to be too eager to do so as well. Anyhow, I hadn't made any plans so I basically stayed at home, finishing up a little tutorial thing I had been working on:

Great start to the year had by all methinks! :-) that paint set is brilliant, and oh so retro chic! I got a lot of 'bitz' of an auction site for $20 a while ago and it came in the bottom of an old GW box and the pics around the edge and bottom were of the old tyranid and scouts models from different chapters as well as some of the 2nd edition orks i think? it was great to just remember when i wanted to paint that well! and now i can and they just go and up the ante and hire bloody Kornel and all the rest! bah! never mind! at least I can learn from your tutes and posts and improve (which you've helped with) who knows, maybe one day i'll get something featured somewhere?....... maybe :-)

I really like that vehicle. It's cool. Haven't got much more to say really apart from: These Evil Sunz are really time consuming to paint but they look oh so pretty in the end.

@Dysartes: Yeah, my guess is that he's compensating for a severe lack in huge fething guns. Quite a lot to do on that one. The Gretchins only got the skin done so far, there's the large ammo box to paint, an unholy amount of details, the tracks and I should add a little something to the wheels as well.
