Here's a really bad pic of a "Sewer Rat" stratagem marker that I started working on yesterday:

Still very WIP(Sorry about the crap pic). The chainsword will be swapped out for... sumfing, and the other hand'll get a pistol, I think. Some ruble and dirt, and a bottom (we don't want that ork falling out the bottom when you pick it up). I'm thinking some sludge, too.

Trading it to sum1thtdiesalot for some Dark Eldar fun.

That's a really cool idea Good Green. When I finally get my commandos painted, I may steal it!

Thanks, and feel free.
I used the spool from some receipt paper. I think I'm going to add more wires, too.

another interesting idea would be if people would want to trade pieces of terrain. the things people are making here are really awesome, and it would beinteresting to see what else could be done

yes but i was thinking of cheap things like making things out of clay or wood, rather than GW parts, you know? you can make some very cool stuff with simple items.

Especially the millions of sprue frames everyone has lying around. Just mix in some glue and a few spare parts and you've got an objective!

I made one out of 3 spare lasguns, a base and a couple of bits of frame. And it looks awesome! Not that I know WHY people would fight over Lasguns anyway.. although I could just say they're prototype hot-shot lasguns but engineered to be smaller and lighter.

OH-I Wanna get out of here

But we use our sprues to make spruanids!

Does anyone want a spruanid objective? I'd have to brainstorm it with sum1 but it might be doable.

Think that's good? Check out the spruecrons.

If anyone in England/near Hertfordshire wants a Lasgun storage objective marker, I might just be able to do it. Depends on how many spare parts I have and if anyone's interested though.

Then again.. I've just been inspired to do a whole heap of objectives.. hmm..

Pics later, perhaps./might actually take part in a Dakka community event.

Finally finished porkuslime's Nurgle alter....

This is a little bit of a different take on Nurgle than normal. I must admit to never being a fan of Nurgle or Nurgle things (conversions, paint jobs, etc.). While I can appreciate the artistry and creativity involved... they just aren't my thing. So making a Nurgle alter was an interesting challenge.

I decided to focus on the more mundane aspects of Nurgle's realm... decomposition & infection (rather than pestilence). This is an alter to Nurgle... a simple symbol nailed into the rock wall. It is here that living creatures are broken, and left to lie exposed to the elements until they succumb to their injuries, infection and disease. After death, they eventually decompose or a scavenged by wild creatures. All Nurgles processes, all very intimate... just the victim and the chaos god's powers at work in subtle, unstoppable ways.

The victim here is a Space Wolf, mortally wounded in battle and overpowered by a demon hoard before his brothers even realized he was injured. Dragged here to die in the name of Nurgle. The centuries old carcass has been completely decayed and consumed by the forces of Nurgle now... all that remains is a pile of antique armor, tarnished and dull as time and the forces at Nurgle's call do their work.

Very nice.. except you forgot one thing:

The damage to his armour that preceeded his debilitating injury!

Really beautiful work Gitsplitta, natural and well proportioned.
Did you think of adding bones?
I personally like the "sectioned" look to decorative bases as opposed to have rocks and things poking over the edges, don't get me wrong both have their place place but that's the way I like them, with the base acting as a section of time and space.

Lots of options... left shoulder pad is missing which could indicate the left arm being cut or torn off at some point... a broken neck would not leave obvious damage on the armor, and all those nice little flexible joints would give ample entry for a blade, spine or poisoned implement without leaving any trace. Also you can't see his back, if he was overrun the kill might well have come from behind.

I did think about bones actually. Pondered finding a little skull somewhere or manufacturing ribs or leg bones out of brass rod. Two issues there... not sure I have the right materials available for the bones... and... not sure where I'd put them. The diorama is fairly busy as it is... I think if I started scattering bones around they might get lost in all the stuff. I may add one or two just for accent though... if I can figure out a good way to manufacture them

I agree with you on the sectioned look. There are times when I want a piece not to be part of the action but to be separate from it. I wanted to give this little scene a feeling of quiet and stillness, so the cut-away sets it apart from a regular piece of terrain or figure.

I was thinking of carving bones out of sprue and having them poking out of the arm holes of the chest plates or hip armour
