I'm thinking around the 19GBP mark, it had allot of engraving on there which took a fair bit of time. As Harry said it would seem a shame to have the laser engrave bricks and mortar, maybe we could embellish the idea somehow like Harry mentioned

Well we can put pretty much any picture on a base, so you could either find a pic you liked or we could draw something up for you. Just PM us nearer the time and we'll see what we can do

Just a quick question do the glass basses scratch on sandy tabletops?

I work as a technician at a university helping students use a laser cutter among other technologies, so having submersed by them for the past two years I have become quite verse in their function . Before working with them both me and Harry were on a modelmaking degree course at which we were shown things like cad, illustrator and things like laser cutters and cnc mills. I must admit though, I didnt utilise the technology that much as a student!

The acrylic is pretty tough and durable, you could get micro scratches over time but no more than what I would deem unacceptable with standard use. We came into the base building arena with the idea most people would want to paint them, it seems the opposite is true however by most peoples reactions here in the thread.

Ok cool. I was wondering depending on how much the model is if you could make a base aswell not too sure on what that may be though mabye a Glass thin base with Archmagos Varon ingraved into it.

Working on some Necron concepts - I also got some pretty cool acrylic in so that should spice things up a bit

Do Necrons have character models that would benefit from a display base like we made for the Eldar guys?

I read somewhere on here that according to the rumour mill (no relation to the war mill I assume) we aren't far off a new Necron Codex and there are going to be all manner new stuff.

One rumour that I have read more than once is that they are going to adding more character/characters to the army other than just the Necron Lords. I would therefore guess that there would be plenty of models that could use one of you special display bases.

I would however state for the record I am not a Necron player so i'm not 100% sure how reliable the rumours are.

Yeah we heard a few of the rumors ourselves, and neither myself or harry are Necron players!

Our poll showed us that people seem to love the Necrons, so by doing a range now we'll be ready for the new army rush!

certainly cant hurt to get some designs ready, and they should look good seeing as they already employ acrylic rods in the models, have you thought about producing alternate coloured rods for their Gauss weapons? dont think I have ever seen anyone do that and something other than boring old green might be nice

i would hold off on doing colored rods for necrons, one of the rumors is that the new boxes will contain different colored rods for players. Now how true that is, is another story.

true, the rumor mill has it that the boxes will come with 4 different colors at 5 each, of blue, red, green, and yellow. Or that the boxes will have 5 colors at 4 each, same list as before but this would include orange as well. Again how true this rumor is, we'll just have to wait and see. However, as Silver points out, a lot of people are looking for purple rods and not having much luck. I myself was and may still be, looking for purple rods as well, to make custom flight stands out of. Whether i still will be looking for purple rods, will be based on what you dream up for me using the info i provided for eldar tanks, and something tells me, that what i'm going to see is going to be a "must have" and purple rods be damned.

and i'm still patiently chewing my fingernails to the nub waiting to see and hear about flourescent blue arcrylic eldar swords.

Lol don't worry you haven't been forgotten, we've just been absolutely swamped with stuff (I've spent an hour this morning just answering messages!) as well as running around trying to sort out all the admin for starting a business! Blame the day job ;-)

Oh did I see that you are able to do custom shoulder pads (for marines) as well?

We haven't started doing pads yet but we've had an idea for how we can make custom logos that could then be applied to pads, similar to the brass etched ones forge world sells. This would be a lot quicker and therefore cheaper than making whole pads. We still need to do some development on them but I'm certain we can pull it off.

I had to get a quote for the blue acrylic sheet, as we anticipated it is frightfully expensive - we did however just received the clear 1mm in the mail on Thursday so were good to go as far as the clear ones are concerned. We'll have to get some prices figured out, as it is I cannot afford to buy the material at the cost that it is.

So far we are a victim of our owns success - as we really need website up and running to make things more official and efficient. Not enough hours in a day lol

Yeah we had a play at painting the edges with marker pens and they turned out great! I'll run some clear ones off sometime next week see how things are looking, get you something excited about until you can put an order in

As for collecting them for the sakes of collecting them, I really liked the look and feel of the 60mm Aurora base I made recently - it really was something else!

Man, the more I look at your stuff, the more I want to put in a custom order for something.
