I am not sure if anyone has said this, but I think the dreadknight will look better when converters are able get the legs in an action pose as opposed to standing up straight.

euh not in Canadian dollar it didnt, and 2nd, since GW started doing the ''lets break the 10 mini box to 5'' it did went up by charging more per model. Or by stopping to sell boxes alltogether and go for blisters.

who you calling dense
Yeah, maybe it went from $25 to $33 for 5 models...
But now you don't pay extra for special weapons. Special weapons were ridiculously expensive.
Now you get 4 special weapons per box. And weapons options for each guy. And a plethora of other options.

Unless your entire army was power armored GK with no options, prices went down.

Prices went down for terminator GK no matter how you look at it.

Go to bed. Wake up. 14 new pages of dreadknight hate with smatterings of wtf for the plastic troops.
It's the stormraven all over again.

And then hearing people say they're going to jump on the PP bandwagon. okay. I respect the game and like some of the miniatures.... but a lot of them are far from pretty. Ditching out on warhammer because you "don't like the models" and going to PP (whose model quality is IMO not as high) is ridiculous. I could understand it from a rules standpoint though.

I'm ashamed of you guys... What is it about the internet that makes it so easy for you to hate everything?

I'll stick with the "official" version, thanks. If you cut it down to the size of a Dreadnought then it fills no unique niche, may as well just stick with Dreadnoughts. The whole point was to add a cool new, larger than ever before kit to the model range and GW did that. I already ordered one Dreadknight and a few troop boxes today.

Black Box already arrived today in at least one of my local GW stores. I had a good look at the Terminator and Dreadknight sprues and the Codex today as well at my local GW store. All very impressive. The Codex is full of cool new stuff and the fine detail, especially the engraved text on the plastic models is nothing short of amazing. Really need to see the stuff up close to appreciate it.

This is the Black Box complete with Grey Knight Terminators, Dreadknight and Codex. They'll be in your local Hobby Centre by the weekend so make sure you're there to drool over them (bring your own tissues). In all seriousness, you really should check out the Codex to see just how many variations there are for this army.

The only Daemonhunters players that should be mad are daemonhunters players that used only inducted guard.

The good news is, they made a codex for inducted guard. It's called Codex: Imperial Guard.

I'm still looking through all of the bitz in the terminator kit and wishing I could paint.

That is easily the best kit I've seen so far (feel free to prove me wrong, by the way, I love seeing amazing kits).

EDIT: (Just thought I'd add to the current Dreadknight discussion) I've thought since the first blurry pictures came out that the NDK should be bulkier. It doesn't fit in the IOM to have nimble, lithe structure, not that it's that graceful anyways. I wouldn't really want a bigger dreadnought, but it's clearly missing some body structure, so maybe some creative modellers will add that much needed bulk to give it the look that we've grown accustomed to, preferably around the operator. It's silly how exposed he is there, it doesn't make any sense from any perspective, except for maybe getting the feth out of that awful contraption as quick as possible.

So the weapons loadouts for the boxes are:

PAGK
3 pairs of falchions
5 greatswords
3 halberds
1 warding staff
1 daemonhammer
7 storm bolters
2 psycannons
1 psilencer
1 incinerator

TAGK
5 greatswords
5 storm bolters
1 incinerator
1 psycannon
1 psilencer
5 halberds
5 pairs of falchions
1 daemonhammer
1 warding staff
1 banner
and a massive 13 head options to boot

These boxes are out of control. The bits market is going to be amazing.

Oh right, there's no way a Grey Knights player would be upset at:

-Losing WS5, True Grit or an equivalent, and being made Ld8 and losing Fearless for ATSKNF - all the while being told that Grey Knights are as above normal Astartes as an Astartes is to a man

-Being composed entirely of Mary Sues like Thawn and the Chapter Master who's never there but doubled as a Warp Entity (for no reason other than Ward's own whimsy, looking at his model), Draigo, who makes the Emperor weep with inadequacy

-Warrior Acoyltes being BS3 to represent the elite Inquisitorial Stormtroopers

-The stupid Dreadknight; not only being added to the fluff, but it also took a spot away from plastic Stormtroopers, Penitent Engines, Grey Knight Dreadnoughts, Henchmen, Daemonhosts, Inquisitors, etc.

-A Grey Knight character being allowed to join a unit of Daemonhosts (who are essentially toothless)

-Eversors losing Bio-Meltdown and Infiltrate

-Culuxes losing the Pariah aura and the ability to single out Psykers in CC

-Assassins only being given a 6+ FNP aside from their unchanged 4+ Dodge save

-Crowe, who unlocks Purifers - the most faithful representation of the old PAGK - as troops, is not an Independent Character for whatever reason

-Being reduced to only 1,000 Grey Knights and essentially being made Silver Ultramarines in terms of organization

-Any other dumb retcons Ward will arbitrarily make in the process of rewriting the fluff of the first army I ever played

-All of this happening exactly one year after he ruined Blood Angels for me

...but no, you're right, I haven't got a reason to be upset.

I think most of those are really stretching it. Some of them bum me out too, but I'm not going to let them ruin it for me.

The biggest issues I see are the fluff changes, the loss of BS4 stormtroopers (but the other henchmen changes outweigh this by far in my eyes)

Most of the other ones I don't really care about.

How about the Daemon players? Is it really true that the old 'Daemonic Infestation' rule is gone with no equivalent replacement?

I'm fine with the GK being really good at killing daemons. I get it. It's what they do. That's cool. But before, it was a simple case of saying, "I know you're going to kill my troops easily, but you're going to have to kill a lot of them."

I'm trying to remain open-minded and not fall into the usual new codex sky-is-falling trap, but this just seems bad. The GW blog today is like a full page going on about how daemons are going to be stomped. Maybe it's just me, but normal space marines don't need a Dreadknight to kill my Daemon Princes. A bunch of bolters and a couple melta guns seem to work just fine.

This is something I dont understand. In place of these 2 extra storm bolters they could have added one more Halberd. I understand the thinking of well you will have 3 guys with halberds one with an incenerator and the sarge with the staff or swords but 2 more stormbolters than you need or can use, to me seems a bit of not thinking ahead or corectly or something.

Also, do the Interceptor squads move as regular infiantry or jump infantry?

Teleporting is a one time use during a single game and counts as moving, but not as "jumping". However, the squad is considered "jump infantry".
