Hey guys, sorry I haven't been responding to you individually as I usually do. Been posting from my phone mostly. Have a quick WIP shot for you on the dev sergeant. Have something a little special planned for him, we'll see how it works out.

Progressing nicely Art, I have to echo the comments about the depth of your green lately! it's really a rich and vibrant colour with perfect shading suited to the size and distance we view them from! i'm really impressed and looking forward to seeing the special treatment you have for him!

As you well know... the draw-back of asking people for ideas is that you then need to follow up by doing at least some of them. I always feel a bit guilty when I fall short of my readers' expectations.

You wouldn't be wrong in doing so. Just take your time with it. Look for the details in the model & don't attach the guns before painting (it just makes painting the details more difficult).

CommissarKhaine wrote:Looking good Gits! 300 pages... This may take me some time to catch up

That's why I have the shortcuts in the OP. Just go there & follow the P&M and battle report links... you'll be cought up in no time.

Thank you sirs! It's been quite the morphing of my green over the two years since I started using the airbrush. There's a lot more depth to the figures now. Darks are darker, lights are lighter & I'm shading up through nearly pure yellow in the most extreme cases. Using my washes much differently too. All part of the learning process I guess.

With a bit 'o luck, I should have another update tonight. Want this guy done by Thursday night. - Gits

OH... and I wanted to point out that he's sporting chainsword blades on his arms and legs made by Zinge. Kit and company do such an awesome job making little bits and bobs that can add so much character to a model. I'm really in their debt.

I don't actually know how to spell it... I was guessing. It was the name of the villian in the James Bond film "Man with the Golden Gun".

I like it, the gold could do with toning down a tiny bit, but you did say there was work left to be done so i have no idea if that is the intention....I have to say again that your work on metals from the necrons is really showing through and producing a fantastic addition to your models...

One thing, the green sensor on his signum is lost to me in all that green of the rest of the model. Blue would make it pop a bit more.
