When we were in Ireland I saw a Hardware store and pub combination. While your picking up some WD40 you might as well have a pint!

And I have pic's to prove it~!

I wish the states didn't have such a stick up its bum about alcohol consumption. I could stand some combi-pubs around here. Not that I would partake that often.

Yes, because alcohol and power tools is such a great idea lol

I think our "stick" is the drinking age, a lot of problems occur because we don't teach kids proper respect for booze. So when they go off to college, they can't drink legally until the third or fourth year of college/uni. So for those first two years if you, as an adult, want to drink have to do it illegally. This leads to binge drinking so that you can get drunk as fast as possible and ride the buzz for as long as possible, but that's neither here nor there.

Iffy should design a donut to go with her recent paintjobs. We need a fondant Khorn Lord riding a jelly filled Khorne colored donut

I've not seen a diy store pub combo here yet, but I've seen a lot of themed restaurant pub combos which are great!

I finished the gorgeous lady model today but ran into something terrible, when I went to attach her arm, the entire top area crumbled into dust. Turns out there was a huge air bubble in the arm that went all the way to the elbow and the whole top section was lost.

I was really upset, I had to try and liquid GS the whole thing together to keep it solid and then place it as best I could with so much of it being made of GS, which meant GSing over final painted areas :(

It was awful but I think she has survived, there will be pics tonight as long as my cam obeys!

Dang that sucks about the air bubble. Sounds like a scene out of Blade 2.

I work there 4 days a week and manage to fit in some painting during the quiet hours and more on the days I am not in, so it is the perfect situation for me

I saw this, and I cringed just reading! I wanted to scream, "Nooooooooooooo!", as though it would change fate, and persuade the model to de-disintegrate on your behalf. You have my deepest sympathies, Ifalna. I look forward to awesome pics of the reconstructed lady.

So, wait, the model itself disintegrated? Ouch.

She got a model with an air bubble within the arm, so there was juuuuust enough resin to make it look solid. An easy fix with green stuff, but not something you want to to AFTER you've painted the mini.

Disintegrating model parts, post painting, really sucks If. Hope it turns out ok.

I hate having to repaint anything, but at least it happened while you can remember your color recipes!

I'm going to start planning with my dad to go for a trip back to Ireland. He was born in Belmullet, Co. Mayo and goes back every year or so. I want one of those donuts!

Huh, I've been to Belmullet.
I spent a (very cold) couple of weeks in winter on the hills out in Mayo during my stint as a researcher.

I think I may have to find Ifalna on facebook if that's where all the nice model pictures are getting posted. Normally I avoid FB like the plague but I love watching the progression on these models.

She has a FB page where she updates her progress? And I've been waiting to see it here? Man...
