Well, I don't really expect to get it back. Insurance will cover a part of it, though. It was a a Giant mountainbike that I just put some new parts on.

Really nice army so far. I love your green colour scheme, and with the added mud, it looks very appealing!
I'm also very fond of your Rough Riders. They looks awesome!
Btw, the base work is rather nice too.

When it comes to rules in the latest Codex, I have seen many DKOK players mount Commanders and Commissars, but I don't think it's legal within the present Codex. Please correct me if I am wrong. So, do you have a ruleset specifically for DKOK, made by Forgeworld, or do you do it for aesthetic reasons?

Krieg! What a hole...

Forgeworld had DKoK rules, but they're being updated for 6th ed, so we'll have to wait.

I was planning to play him as the Ridemaster as long as there are no rules for mounted Commissars. But in an older FAQ it was said that you could buy a Commissar for the Death Riders – but you had to buy him a horse for 30pts.

Let's wait what the big update brings.

Thanks for the reply mate! Games-Workshop have recently stated that they'll now be doing monthly releases, following the release of 6th Edition. When it comes to Codex updates and models, maybe the new Imperial Guard Codex will see us being able to mount Commanders and Commissars. Who knows?.....

I doubt that GW is touching any of the FW army lists. But since the pdf is not in FW's download section any more, there's chance FW is doing an update.

Update:

I think that was a little bit too much wash. :( And I'm not happy with the drybrush job either. Note: Never paint with bad lighting and/or in a hurry. But I hope it turns out like the Centaur once I did the mud and added some details. :/

edit: harsh contrast also due to hard camera flash

It doesn't look like too much wash, just looks like it's sat unprotected in the rain a lot. Some mud and rust streaks should be enough to finish it off.

Well slap some mud on it and go from there! Some lettering might look good as well, I find it really helps on those large, imposing surfaces.

To me it just looks dirty, which is a good thing

Now drive it through a muddy trench or two, and it'll look perfect!

Incredible work so far! Love the tank conversion and overall paint scheme for the army. Agree with everyone else that a little mud, streaking, and rust spots will really make this model pop! Your horses are absolutely beautiful btw, I have a few but am a bit uneasy on how to go about painiting them. Trial and error dont fail me now!!! Keep up the great work it is really inspiring

I didnt know the Malcador came with tread covers? They look a bit different than the standard ones or are those your own creation?

Games Workshop: Ruining Chaos Space Marines since 2007

First they raised prices on the Eldar, and I did not speak out because I did not play Eldar.

Then, they raised prices on the Orks, and I did not speak out because I did not play Orks.

Then, they raised prices on the Nids, and I did not speak out because I did not play Nids.

Then, they raised prices on the Marines, and there was nobody to speak out for me.

Ok, everyone that faints easily when thinking about FW prices should not read any further.

It's a Malcador - with the sides of a Malcador Infernus.
And obviously a Leman Russ turret.

And I plan to do 2 more.

Haha, sorry guys. I wish I could go on in a faster pace. However, one has to earn money, too - and this means I'm relatively busy right now.

I'm not really satisfied yet, but it's usable in a game now:

Some details, dirt, etc. will come later.

I also painted some more engineers - including the mole launcher. But I forgot to take a pic.

Gawd that is still stunning. As is the army as a whole: been too long since I've looked at this blog, it's a genuinely amazing army.

Keep up the great work, and don't worry about rushing yourself, I think many of us can relate to being busy at work.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Yes, it's a bit longer but it counts as a Leman Russ. Height and width are the same and my opponents see no problem with giving them about 1/3 more length to shoot at.

I didn't see the usual LR fit to count as WW1-like behemoth's.

Haha, well, the first page held a lot of pics - not just from the beginning. But yeah, still a lot more came after this. Have fun, there's a battle log inside somewhere that people seemed to love.

And another one will come soon, I hope. And it'll be a Vraks battle.
