Yeah, mine were a titch off, but nothing to holler about. Those look problematic. Obviously there have been some problems (and some complaining), but overall I've been very happy with what I received. Miniatures: covered in fiddly mold lines and hard to clean up, but very nice sculpts. Rules: some significant holes but fast, fun, and easy to play. Quality: some minor issues like slightly warped boards but otherwise quite good.
P.S. Anyone know why I can't post or reply to posts over at the SM forum? I scoured their "help" doc and couldn't find an answer. Much thanks to anyone who can lend a hand...

I have 2 boxes, so 4 sheets in total: each is off in a markedly different way. 2 are as bad as those just shown, two are quite okay (noticeably off, but hey, be reasonable )

Guys would love to get some advice from anyone who has played the game!
I'm keen to get going with the game but only want to use minis that I've painted. Having a quick look through the rules and points values, and rather than painting up the whole collection, would these be enough for the first 3-4 missions or so? (I know forces are chosen according to points value, but just for a few games and to get the feel of things)
Vanguard: 6 standard troopers, 1 grenade launcher, 1 reaver, 1 lancer, 1 floating robot thing, Corpsman vade
Strain: 10 revanants, 2 quasimodo, 1 scythe witch, 1 brimston
Is this enough? Especially with regards to the strain, as I'm not really sure how the evolution thing works yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also, does anyone know if the limited edition Kara will be arriving any time soon? (I've put painting the one I have on hold as the LE, helmeted version I think looks better!)

For the vanguard thats not bad, get a few more basic guys, maybe another special weapon or so. As for the Strain lots for Revs and you need some stalkers.

Scenario 1 and 2 only allow phase 1-2 (currently revenant, quasimoto, stalker), so you probably want a couple stalkers and some more revenants
Scenario 4 explicitly requires Kara and Akosha

Anyone have a list breaking down exactly what should be in the main basic box plus the extras for this kickstarter?
I have just received mine and I want to see if I have got everything I should have.
Box has split on one corner, which is annoying, have some fraying on one corner of my tiles, and the sniper rifle for the female sniper figure is completely busted, so I need to email them about that. Other than that, quite happy. My Kara in plastic has some hideous mould lines though.

Here's the full breakdown of the biohazard stuff
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coolminiornot/sedition-wars-battle-for-alabaster/posts/388160
(note that you'll end up with an extra male samaritan reaver body and a female samaritan arm these are extras included becuase of the way the production worked out, and don't indicate yu're missing bits)
I'm assuming you're in AUS from your flag (but if that's wrong and you're in the EU you'll be missing resin Kara which got moved to phase 2)

In case anyone is wondering what to do with said reaver body and arm. I found that they go together quite nicely provided you have a spare arm lying around. I used and Anvil Industries bionic bit and it worked perfectly!

For those who are using these to proxy for infinity miniatures, which faction/miniatures are they using them for?

Incorporating Wet-Blending

I've opened my box and started looking at the contents. Resin Kara is intact, the boards are thicker than expected and acceptably on-centre, and the Sedition Wars box itself looks good. On the other hand, the Biohazard and Opticamo stuff was just floating around in their two separate pizza boxes, and the signed print is a bit bent as a result.

Just painted a few of the minis up and have to say they are absolutely stonking. The price is a bonus, I would have been happy paying a lot more for them.
The paint job for these guys was kind of a mistake. Bought a tin of Tamiya spray thinking it would just be a matt dark green, but thanks to the impossibru translation on the side it was a gloss tin. Actually now think it looks a bit better, a bit more like a future plastic or something. Wanted to go with a more realistic-looking colour scheme than the official colours, I've copied the British army dark green camo scheme. I now need some tiny Union Jack flag decals to go on the shoulder if anyone knows where I can get some!
I've used some spare FoW US Armored Rifles decals for their names on the bases, to help with ID'ing them during the game (and also to give a sense of attachment, when they get killed horribly by something )
And some level 1 strain - these guys are easy as hell to paint, so textured you can just drybrush and wash the whole thing.
Really like The Thing-esque style of some of these models, think they look horrifying! Looking forward to playing this with a friend for the first time, and me plonking these down on the board with him having not seen them before
Anyway just on the models alone so far will give this game an A+. Will move on to some of the characters next, and convert a few of the bare-headed models to give them helmets (find it hilarious that troops would go into combat with the strain, or any kind of hostile, space-based environment, without a full suit).

The names on the bases are pretty sharp looking! And I really like the colors on the Quasimodo! Well done!

Finally opened mine up. Some of the markers are slightly off but the resin Kara's are perfect. Looks like everything else is in great shape. The tiles are flat and I'm not seeing the same to tight fit in the box some people are talking about. Granted, mine sat in the box for almost two weeks so no issues there.
I haven't opened up the baggies to count the models that came with yet but that's something I'll be checking here in the next bit. I just ordered 3 biohazards so going thru them all is going to take a while and I'm currently busy getting other stuff ready for Adepticon and 2 other 40k GT's.

Using Object Source Lighting
|
Hi all, so, I decided to have some fun in photoshop, and come up with some SW game aids. Unless I end up doing a cheat sheet or something that requires more space, I'm planning on doing all of them as card-sized.
The blanks are for numbers, descriptions, or names, as you see fit. I'll probably end up naming mine fun references... The last card is for special weapons troopers, didn't find an image of the Reaver, and thought it would look crowded, either way.
So far, I've just done the 3 types of Samaritans and special weapons troopers.
Link to the other designs:
Link!
If you've got requests for cards, please let me know (next up is going to be the Strain multiples).
