Can't really see the point in using Wayland Games. The shipping cost knocks the price back up to standard GW wholesale... May as well order from the ol' Gee-Dub and collect in store for the same cost?

I ordered directly from GW for a change, didnt want to take the risk of getting a normal one from a retailer after they run out of the few limited edition ones they will get !

GW charges tax in the US. If you order from an online retailer, you can ommit the state sales tax.

I was first in the door at my LGS this morning and preorded the Limited Edition for $169, which is a bit more palatable.

AUD$180 from GW Australia
GPB$65 = AUD$99 from GW UK

What the fething feth is this? Why? Why would anyone do this?
Can anyone recommend a reseller for the Limited Edition, who sells it for less than AUD$120?

I kinda want to see sprue pics of the chaos stuff before I buy. While I understand that snap fit models aren't meant to be flexible with their positioning, seeing how they go together will be my deciding factor.

yeah, that sounds about right. My wife bought me a copy for my birthday around the time it came out. According to one AU distributor, the LE set is slightly more expensive than the regular one will be. I wonder if the Chaplain is plastic or finecast. God I hope it's not finecast...

AoBR's individual parts never added up to double the price of the box via UK ebay.

Have you noticed that most of the troop choice sculpts are doubled up and even tripled up and with the last group of cultists, the sculpts are mirrored. I would hope for a little more uniqueness...

The rear of the Hellbrute is disappointing. Bar not having as many details as the front, the aesthetics speak Tyranid all over. =/

I was looking at moving a lot of my online ordering from Malestrom to Wayland, if only they offered free shipping or to drop the 20% VAT that they don't have to pay on overseas orders (that's where "free" shipping comes from.) I was going to buy Incursion from them, but it had the "bulky" disclaimer. When I got it (from Maelstrom), the box was smallish, with a bit of weight to it, but not over the top. Looking at Fireforge games as my alternative to Maelstrom now.

So, how much roughly for the standard set? I am working in pounds, so I reckon the $99:$107 ratio of Standard to LE means about £60:£65 standard : LE?

Walnad lists the standard edition rrp as £61.50

I don't understand why so many Aussies, care about the price so much lol. Just buy it from over seas. I paid 220 and got 2 limited edition box sets off ebay. Ezpz and they are being shipped on Sep1.

Preordered mine as well, going to pop in my local GW next saturday as well, so there is a good chance I'll pick up a second for extra cultists.

A closer look at the chaplain on the GW saved me money. Pass. Will split normal set or pick up the Chaos figs on ebay.

Overall great set, but I'm not in love with the DA stuff.

By US Federal law, they are required to charge tax online if there's a retail location in the state. There's a GW location in Raleigh.

I didn't realize the Dark Angel Captain had a combi-plasma. The 360 view of all of the main figures is impressive. Really liking the Ravenwing. The Chaos lord is even better than I thought. The mace armed chosen would be an awesome sorceror model.

Overall I'm extremely impressed. The AOBR models didn't really impress me. These really seem to be on the Space Hulk level of snap fit models.
