Ha ha, it's a thought. But that would limit the hut to warhammer games (as there's no grots in Infinity for example).
I really am trying to kill as many birds as possible with this piece.
I've added some strips to a few of the plates to add some detail, hopefully it's kept it's timeless look.
Just given it and the base a coat of PVA/water and when that dries I'll rivet it and show you lot.
Hopefully I have enough rivets in stock to cover this (I intend to do both sides).

I submit this humble example of riveting for the appraisal of the League
There's three kinds of rivets;
One set that was on the pieces of metal when they were "collected". These will be the oldest and therefore most weathered.
The second set is what has been used to hold the plates together.
And the third set is the larger rivets that hold the metal roof to the frame of the hut.
What do we think?

Thanks SS. Well there's still the underside to do, maybe something could be done there.
I've got to add a few bits of wall to the underside of the roof at the broken corner (it'll make sense when I do it) and then decide how much rubble to add to that corner.
As an additional note on the roof, I'll be doing each plate with a slightly different degree and colour of rust to make them look different ages and different types/grades of metal.

Your comments are very welcome here Cam.
Thanks
Also, the bandage-like material you can see hanging from the post by the "door" (what's left of it) is the remains of an awning that would have been attached to the other corner (that is no longer there). I may make it more tattered then it is here, yet.

Thanks NF. Yeah, I really try to give every piece (from the smallest to the largest) of each model careful thought as to it's job, why is it there (and not somewhere else) and how it may be affected by it's position.
Hopefully my painting can afford the cheques that the modelling is writing...

Vik, what is this sanity of which you speak? Is it something to do with being clean...?!?
And to demonstrate that I take my responsibilities in the League seriously, I have finished the riveting of the roof...
...with the underside.
Obviously some of the rivets (that were done from above and so don't follow the lines underneath) are "hidden" by the wooden beams.
Right. On to the next piece, which is something that I haven't decided on yet...
