Howdy ho folks!

Let us 'March' into the next month! haha

Let us know your aspirations for your work this month.

Here are mine:

-Finish painting my Space Marine Captain on a bike.
-Paint a Space Marine Bike Squad: 5 plain bikers, 2 bikers with plasmaguns, 1 sgt. w/ a combi-plasma, and 1 attack bike w/ a heavy bolter.
-Build 2 Space Marine Tactial squads each including the following: 7 plain marines, 1 flamer marine, 1 missile launcher marine, 1 sgt. with a power fist, a rhino.
-Build at least 35pts of Cygnar.
-Build Alternate Pose Perdita Ortega.
-Find some place to put all this.

hopefully this month will be more productive than last month:

1. finish painting defiler
2. base test CSM models from last month
3. finish painting and base chaos lord
4. paint & base two CSM aspiring champions
5. assemble, magnetize, paint & base two raptor aspiring champions

stretch goals:

1. assemble, magnetize, paint & base C:SM terminator librarian
2. assemble, magnetize? & paint a C:SM drop pod
3. assemble the rest of the raptor squads (13 more models; magnetize special weapons)

Ok, let's try this again. I failed miserably the last time I attempted vows. Here's what I *want* to do this month:

1) Finish painting and basing 4 Cataphractii Terminators
2) Clean and Assemble 15 standard terminators
3) Clean, magnetize, and assemble Belial
4) Get the Terminators half way painted assembly-line style

Streeeeeeetching:

5) Finish painting the terminators
6) Build and paint my ADL
7) Assemble my Godhammer Landraider

Finish:
My fire prism i failed to paint this month,
My Wave Serpent that I also failed to paint
My pathfinders I again didn't paint,
My orks once and for all, I hate the sight of them now.

Strip and basecoat my newly purchased War Walkers that I got from Ebay.

Alright, no more silly goals like I did in the past that I never complete (I mean it this time!)

1) Finish building the rhino part of my razorbacks
2) Paint one model

Stretch:
1) Paint two models
2) Finish my BT vehicles

Well, my successful February WILL be followed by a successful March (...i hope).

I'm well into my WoC army, main aim of this month is to continue with it.

1) Paint 10 Warhounds
2) Paint 5 Marauder horsemen
3) Paint Lord
4) Buy and assemble a Gorebeast Chariot
5) Make regular updates to my blog - It's starting to wither, and if i dont update it at some point in the direct future, it WILL die ;P

Anyway, there we have it. I'll check back soon to see how we're all doing

We have successfully moved out of our apartment and into a hotel, where we will be until we find a new place and get moved in...with any luck my March goal is to get everything unpacked, organized, and decide on a plan for what to work on next.

I had been hoping that we'd have a little more room in the hotel so I could at least work on my Wood Elf steeds, but no such luck.

I did just read The Horus Heresy: Mechanicum and it has given me some ideas for Cultists to accompany my Word Bearers... perhaps I can work on some concept art/sketches? Plus I now have a hankering to build a Knight - anybody remember these guys from the old Epic Titan Legions game?

My pledge is to

Finish my nearly completed wave serpent and a dire avenger squad.
I'm an amazingly slow painter and prone to starting new projects so we'll see.

Only things that can stop me are my kids and shiny objects.

1) Finish the Chimera I didn't finish from last month :(
2) Another Chimera and/or
3) A Leman Russ Punisher and/or
4) Another vet squad.

2-4 are pretty dependent upon if/when the Punisher kit arrives at my FLGS.

Finish assembling and with a favorable weather day, prime/base coat my DFG Crusader.

Light goals this month as I have surgery on the 14th to refinish the lens on my mark 1 eyeballs.

finish painting my 3000 point woc army in the next few months.. do my pre herasy death guard army.

Assemble and paint fortress of redemption. And finish painting my woc army and chaos dragon.

Build the rest of my Necron Warriors
Model my Narnia themed Satyrs

Paint 10 platoon IG infantry
5 heavy weapon teams
Buy and paint a Aegis Defense Line
Magnetize Russ weapons

Paint my half finished 9 Emperor's Children Chaos Marines
Paint my 7 Noise Marines /w Sonics, 2 /w Blastmasters
Sort out aspiring and noise champions weapons and paint them if i get time.
Assemble and paint my Rhino /w weathered effects.
Do this whilst working full time and being a dad to a 6 month old.

Let's try this. If I get this written down somewhere, maybe it will motivate me to finish some of my crap...

1) buy scything talons and repair my hormagaunts
2) Buy wings and repair my gargoyles
3) Finish converting my standard marines to Chaos
4) Prime/Pain the converted Marines

This is pretty ambitious for me, but we'll see

My main goal this month is to start using my P&M blog that I created back in October. I think this way it will help me into getting pictures of models up and will mean I progress.

I have 2 models that are quite close to being finished, but everytime I do something I look at them then get a little but downheartened. I then look at them the following day and think that actually they aren't that bad if I change a couple of bits. Eugh.

Anyway goals for this month:

1. Start posting in P&M blog
2. Finish first ork (which will be first completed model since I left the hobby over 5 years ago)
3. Build remaining models apart from newly purchased Space marines

Stretch goals

1. Finish Dakka Bomma
2. Start work on either Valkyrie or Chimera.

I'll have to change the 'Perdita' goal. I'm waiting for some bases to come in so the model probably won't be built this month. In its stead:

-Build models from a WoC Battalion box as well as a box of Marauder Horseman.

Buy my first set of models, ever!
Assemble them.

After my long break (6 years), I hope to get right into painting (and sculpting) by:

1. Finally finishing my Bloodthirster that I started a long time ago
2. Getting an entire squad painted IN THE SAME COLOR SCHEME
3. Sculpt an entire model out of green stuff, and have it look half decent.


I'm trying to record my progress on my blog (link below). I started it so I could just get some feedback, constructive criticism and maybe some encouragement. I have never thought of myself as being good at this stuff, but I really want to be. It was my idea of a way to stick with it, and I hope it works out. And I know it's not technically for the month of March, but:

4. Stick with 40k for at least a year, so I can actually make some progress on all my unpainted models.

1) Finish Painting the last 6 squads of a smurfs company
2) Tyranid infected asteroid/hulk terrain/battlefield
3) Finish painting new upgrades on Tyranids

Here is my (non-painting-related) update:

We have found an apartment! Should be able to move in on the 21st... so I just might be able to finish the Wood Elves this month after all.

Not making any promises, but I am optimistic!

Assembled and primed everything already complete. Surgery tomorrow so we'll see what happens... and I caught a great deal on the rest of my 'Crons.

1.Better my skills at gradients
2.Learn to airbursh more accurately
3. Finish my SW Rhino
4. Finish Long fangs missle squad
5.finish long fangs heavy bolter squad
6. Grey wolves squad 10(x2)
7.finish Wold eater squad.
8.Get a social life.

Well no work on the razorbacks, need to buy some glue first.

But I did get 3 models mostly finished, with 2 more on the table to paint. Tried my scheme with the new base colors and I like it better than the old colors, but it is a tad duller, which means the valkyries won't be a perfect match, but that is okay.

...Well this month has sucked so far for progress...
I burned out a few weeks back, and have only painted the lord in the past couple of days because i had the bug to paint something.
Fingers crossed i get the motivation to do a little more this month

I'd like to:

1: Completely finish my new DakkaJet! (WIP Link in my Sig)
2: Put all of my ork models into trays in my new Battle Foam box.
3: (at least) Base Paint all of my Ork infantry.

And if I somehow manage to get that done...

4: Finish and base my DeffKoptas
5: Detail paint and seal the Orks. (bit of a strech at this point)
