Well CMON finally made an official statement about Season 1 promos - done not coming back.

Creator CoolMiniOrNot just now

Just to reiterate, the exclusive promos from last year are done. We won't be reissuing them, just like we won't reissue the exclusives for this one. Gullotine Games and us would rather look forward than back.

Also, if you want multiples of the optional items, that's just fine.

This actually makes me quite sad, as a completionist. I was hoping to get access to the KS guys from the last go around. Oh well, maybe ebay...

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

As much as I wanted them this was to be expected. Otherwise the purpose of being limited miniatures disappear. They can even be available at conventions and such but only in a more limited run that they would be if given during this kickstarter

Just looked on ebay and they're $50+ a pop. Ouch, no thanks.

buying them now is the worst possible time to do so

like buying Kindgom Death stuff on ebay during that KS, prices were up 50%+ compared to what they were going for prior to that (they're still up a bit now, but only 10-20% and falling)

Agreed now is the worst time to try and pick them up at a reasonable price while there is so much interest in them due to the new KS. Prices will settle later but they will become harder to get.

No amount of money will part me from mine and I never even thought of buying them for resale nor will I get any extras this time for that purpose. I got 2 of each of the Sedition Wars promo but again they are not for resale.

I could be wrong, but I don't see them going below $15 each, and that's about my maximum limit on these guys. After all, I can custom build my own if I needed, and DL the rules from Guillotine, so that's the limit of worth to me. Others might find it higher. I'll still keep an eye on ebay and try to snag some for a cheaper cost, if possible. There were only 3, right? Machete, Sheldon and one other guy.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

There was also the 4 paid extras Marvin, Eva, Claudia and Ivy

plus the stretch rewards Eagle, Troy and Cardboard Tube Samurai

these are not due to be shipped to backers until April and they are also exclusives not to be rereleased.

Man, people really will complain about anything. They're complaining about boobs, and they're complaining about the totally-the-same-as-last-time $10 price point.

I just wish we knew when the Season 1 backers were getting all the extra survivors.

CMON posted an updated last week. The survivors / zombivors left China either last Friday or will be leaving tomorrow. Then looking at about a month to reach the US (I am not certain if any are going to the UK to be posted). So I would expect them late April or early May which puts them right on schedule (Q2 2013 was the advertised date on the KS).

Not one hundred percent on this one at the mo, still haven't tried the game yet as I was waiting for all the extras. Now this is up, I suspect I'll have to give it a go, as if it is as fun as many are making out I'd hate to miss out on a load of goodies.

It's heaps of fun. We've played it twice, and ended up playing it pretty much all day both times. It's kind of chaotic with you have 6 surviors going at once.

Hmm judging from the previous stretches, I'm guessing the next stretch to be revealed is 2 berserker runners. And then sometime after that a toxic fatty, then a berserker fatty, then the abominations. Ooh it might be nice if they gave us the 2 new abominations as stretchgoals!

Heck I wonder if the alt sculpt zombies might get added as a stretch

Well we're not far away from another set of dice.

So this is another set of dice on top of the set of dice we already got plus the dice that will be in the Prison Outbreak box... plus all the dice from the first KS.

Do we need so many dice???

As an aside – with the Zombicide dice, what do you count as 1’s and what do you count as 6’s: Heads or Moltovs?

You can never have enough dice - well actually you can it is kind of overkill at this stage (i have 18 dice from the first game alone) but if it has to be more dice Toxic Green would have been better than Red which are too similar to the standard red dice and yet I have a feeling we may yet see Green dice and a 3D first player token for the Prison Outbreak box.

Next up is likely to be 2 Beserker runners and probably the other female survivor previewed with Dakota. Then extra Fatties and Abominations at some point. The KS still has 28 days to run yet!

Molotov's are 6s, Zombie heads are 1s

New goal:

This one won't exactly set the world on fire, but for those without the first Zombicide game or those not getting it and just getting Prison Outbreak, having more regular Zombies is always a good thing.

By the end of this they'll give us 70% more zombies than the base box

And yet we'll still run out of zombie models and they'll all start moving twice

I do love Zombicide, these two boxes look sweet but having missed the early birds I figured I'd hold off from backing imediately and see how it developes. This however has given me time to mull over a few things;

True now that the stretch goals are going over like an old man in the snow there is more incentive to chip in, but I did have some severe reservations as to how much the base inmate deal was worth. $150 + $35 p&p is allot for a game and it's expansion. The $100 for prison break is about £66.50 and zombicide can be bought for allot less than that for example. So add in the dogs and you should have a figure the roughly equals RRP here, plus p&p.

CMoN doesn't particularly giver thier KS backers much in the way an advantage over regular buyer in terms of advancement though granted guaranteed supply is a given. This also ignores the fact that they did sell Zombicide at Gencon before forfilling KS backers, though commercially I can understand this decision.

The $35 for p&p outside of the US gives me some consternation. True this now avoids import taxes which cost me a similar figure on season 1 but this presumably is happening as they have EU based distribution. I guess this is supplied direct from China so can't imediately see why this isn't inclusive ala US internal distribution.

Am I prepared to for another 80 odd emails from the charming folks at CMoN?

No biggies really, I'll certainly still be backing this (if I can find room for more boxes and the Mrs doesn't find out!) but having been through the CMoN KS mill once before I'm hesitant to jump in feet first again.

From CMON (It's in the FAQ at the bottom of the Kickstarter page) -

We will be able to ship within the EU from the UK. Shipping will still cost the same as we'll need to deal with customs and VAT on your behalf if you're in the EU and to pay our shipping service.

This will mean that you won't have any issues with possible customs queries, additional tax or other hassles, making the whole experience that much smoother!

They have to pay additional taxes on what they import to the UK which they don't have to do with the US shipments which is what out postage costs cover (rather then actual postage)/

They still need to charge P&P because when you bring a shipping container into the UK the importer gets hit with a bill for VAT at 20% (and possibly import duty too, depending on what catagory it counts as), not a cost they need to worry about in the US. So while i'd love free EU shipping I can see why they don't offer it

So the US impose no import taxes at all?
