They do have some import taxes on some stuff (the equivalent out our import duty, although what gets taxed may not be the same)

but not any equivalent to our VAT on imported goods which is where the big money maker for the government is(,

it's one of the reasons everything looks cheaper in the states

Not as stiff as yours if it is 20%. It started with Bill Clinton lowering the tarriffs here, and most manufacturers fled the US for cheaper labor. Cars are really the highest tarriffed imports for the US, which is why so many foreign companies have plants in North America now. Other than that, it is cheaper to have things made in China and import them to moderate to ridiculous prices for the manufacturing cost.

I'm in at Fugitive right now, but not really seeing the benefit of staying there instead of lowering my pledge to Inmate. I'll stick around for a bit longer before lowering it, but CMoN should get out front and put some exclusives out for Toxic City Mall.or add-ons to the Fugitive Level and above.

Up to now, it looks like Inmate is the sweet spot and buying Toxic City Mall after general release makes more sense.

This is even more true if you consider the first zombicide game. I am in at the moment to get the three games but it seems that there is zero advantage in picking zombicide through the kickstarter rather than from retail. I am paying extra $70+$10shipping for a game I can pick at retail at the same price whenever I want it

They said pre-kickstarter that the Inmate level (only Season 2) would be the sweet spot as they didn't want to set it for both TCM and Season 2 as it would be too expensive for some people. The Fugitive level is just there for those who want to get both expansions via the kickstarter but wont be offering any extra then pledging at Inmate level and buying TCM locally.

Though while there was that little bit of selling zombicide through that one convention, I think zombicide state wise still shipped out before most retailers got them. So Fugitive might get Mall expansion faster

Where are people finding the original for the equivalent of $80 in the UK? Everywhere I've found so far has it for at least £63 +P&P, normally higher?

I cannot find it anymore either but I could find on eBay for £59 inc shipping. So yes still a bit more expensive than the $80 but not much and you can pick whenever you want leaving you with more free money to pledge for the kickstarter

That is correct good sir. But local sales taxes can sometimes suck, but if you order from outside your state and they don't have a location inside your state then no sales tax. One of the reasons that I'd buy from thewarstore.com instead of miniaturemarket.com because mm is local an I'd pay the 8-9% sales tax on their product.

Inmate is the $100 (or $90 Early Bird level) and includes Prison Outbreak and Zombie Dogz but not Toxic City Mall. It's supposed to be the sweet spot level for this KS as the focus is on Season 2 as TCM was already funded from the first KS funds but most people have gone for the Fugitive level ($150) which also contains TCM as well. All stretch rewards are for Inmate and higher levels even were it has ended up with the weird situation were Inmate backers get extra Toxic zombies even though they aren't getting TCM. It's also been noted that Fugitive gives no saving over Inmate as you are adding $50 for TCM which is the retail value of TCM anyway and you might get it cheaper at an online discounter later however I know in my case when conversion rates and shipping are added to online discounters it makes little difference so I might as well get the whole package now and get it before it hits retail.

I think it'll be cheaper to those of us in my part of the world, as the shipping charges on the KS are next to nothing compared to 'real world' shipping costs.

As a KS newbie & a Zombicide fan can I ask a quick question about pledging? I've pledged $185 so far for Fugitive level and shipping to Ireland.

In order to get the additional models of Dakota & Fred, do I just go into KS and up my pledge amount by $10 for each figure?

Also when does KS take the money from my Visa, I pledged on Saturday night, but there are no pending transactions on my Visa card yet.

Yes, just up the pledge by the desired amount


The beauty of KS is that they take money at the end of the Project, so that failed KS do not collect money

The money is only taken when the KS is over, so in 20-something days time.

And yes, you just go into the 'manage your pledge' bit, add $20, and then go through the Amazon thing and you're done.

They wont take your money until the end of the campaign and only if it is successfully funded (which this one already is). To add on the extra 2 characters you just need to increase your pledge amount by $20, you can do this using the "Manage Pledge" option on the top right hand corner of your screen.
