I look forward to seeing your next orky thing, i'm a big fan of your mobile big mek workshop and orky distillery.

Something i noticed about your ratlings; you have a catachan human with them - that catachan sniper must be the absolute shiznat, being able to hang with a ratling sniper team!!
That dude must be walking on all fours his entire adult life; the grimdark-sniper 'Mowgli'!

Not where I should be

It's Done!!

That's it finished not doing any more. Got to move on. Please have a good look, all images are zoom-able, and votable (hint hint.) Will have to wait for the end of the month for posting it to SirDonlad.

Started out as just a project that I wanted to do, then heard on Dakka of SirDonlad and his recent issues, so since it wont fit on any of my shelves, and his baby needs some company and protection, it is his. It was his choice on weapons and colour scheme, though gave me free license to go however I wanted. He does have a large collection of large robots so I did have a look. However I decided after his brief to me that this would be a more veteran beast, with some embellishments.

OK enough waffle, here are the pics, again looking at them, wishing I could paint!

Spoiler:

Thank you for looking, please feel free to critique or comment.

A great finished project Cam, still can't believe how short of time it took you to build it. Paint work is very good all those little gems hidden on the model makes me want search the pics so I don't miss anything.

I just don't know what to say - it's just so epic!

The Rad weapon is a thing of beauty - the new more subtle OSL is so perfect dude!! it really looks like the material itself is overloaded with energies its form can't really withstand! I love the round vent to the rear of the weapon with it's own subtle OSL, hinting at the searing radiation contained within!

The Camkeirhi class Sonic Destructor is stunning, i end up staring at it over a cuppa and the pad i'm writing the rules in till the screen starts asking me to press buttons to keep it turned on - three times is my record for that in one sitting..
The slight blue effect is perfect, it really gives off an aura of hidden power without being a 'glow', and the way it is a stronger effect toward the rear of the weapon on its capacitance section is realy nice!

The really nice thing in the cockpit is how you got the way the multiple light sources interacted just right - Not only does your painting of the cockpit look amazing and far better than anything i could do, its also a FAR better job of making a cockpit than i managed to do in a knight - i remove my hat and bow to your superior skill sir!

The colour scheme really is spot-on, and perfectly embellished! The freehand planets and stars on the carapace are fantastic! They just get better with time! I don't do reliquary usually, but i am sold on what you have done here! I can't emphasize that enough - i'm a Magos Reductor with the 'stubborn' USR and a cyber-familiar but even so, i failed my characteristic test to resist the charm of the iconography... ... Legio Atarus's Forgeworld 'Atar-Median' on one side, and the household Col'Khak knight world 'Atar-Planitia' on the other with 'Atar-Median' in the background!!!1!!!
The edging with its name carved into it is beaut! It has that look of a thousand campains about it - properly venerable!!

The legs really are a master work dude - I'm an engineer by trade and everything we see here looks functional - the pneumatic cables, the points of rotation, the positioning of armour; it all looks kinematically correct, like it could just saunter off at any moment...

And that little gem you kept 'till the end, those arm mounts are brilliant!! So characterful and really functional looking; like the legs, they oooze the feel of the Lucius-pattern Warhounds 'unsophisticated yet functionally correct' design aesthetic - Fantastic!!

I'm going to make a thread in the Painting and modeling showcase section when we greet the 'Iustus Indignatio' to honour it and you Cam' - the depth of my gratitude will become clear then, my friend.

For now i'll detail my reaction to your finished pictures...
as i saw the first image and my jaw slowly dropped and as i scrolled slowly down through the images i began to verbalise to myself.. "oh my ... ...feeeth! ... no fething way!!! ..[uncontrollable chuckling with glee].. ...thats jus..... ..... fething amazing... .... oh, he didn't!!! oh my fething god!.... ...feeeth!... ..no waaaaay!!!! dude! you.... ..fething... ...nutter-genius!!.. ...man!.. ..feeeeeeeeth!

etc, etc.

I'll be posting again in a bit - there's just so much awesome i need to take two sittings to get my thoughts from brain to screen...

Epically cool good sir .
I still think the leg armor was a stroke of genius, but it's hard to tell since it is all inspired by genius. The weapons are also top notch.

Hell of a project. Really fantastic. That's an Orc skull on the one greave though. Thought you could slip that by us?

The next one you build... radio controlled. Yep, motorized and all that. Adepticon ( in Chicago... yeah it really is a toddlin' town. ) has a tournament for titans. How cool would it be to have a titan that actually 'ROFLstomps' the others... literally?

Amazing work. It reminds me of why I like this hobby so much.

I really like the back drops of your shelves, I definitely think I will need to rip that off. Its such a great idea.

Great work on the titan, Cam'. Well done on getting such a large project done (and quicker than I do small projects).

Sniper dio' is looking nice.
I do feel that the waterfall should be breaking up more for the lower half of the fall. It's either thicker than water, or gravity is much stronger than 1g (which might explain the sniper's stature).

Can't give much help as to how to achieve that though. Waterfalls pretty much turn into heavy rain over a long enough fall. Maybe cotton wool with water effects brushed/poured over? Worth an experiment before changing anything on an actual model.

Now i've had time to calm down i just wanted to give some kudos for some of the more subtle things on the 'Iustus Indignatio'

It's covered in hidden litanies! good job the dakka gallery has a zoom function! very nice, sir.

The use of hazard striping is nice and restrained - that one panel on its left leg was such a good call - in my mind it's an auxiliary power input/output port for when it needs a reactor upgrade/refit.

I also like the little red warning symbol under the crew lift platform - it's tiny things like that which really fill out the universe around a model, same goes for the downward looking lenses on the underside of the main carapace - very nice.

The brass detailing on the main carapace is particularly good - the shot of the detailing on the rear of the hull actually looks like steampunky brass strapwork, nicely done!

Moving on to your current project - i agree with Dr H that the waterfall should be breaking up quite early on in it's descent - i saw a video by one of those water effects companies where they made a waterfall that was really nice - here y'go, the bit you want starts at 2:30, but be warned - it is trying to sell you stuff; RESIST!!!
Spoiler:

That one rattling dude on the top left (as you face the dio) is absolutely epic! i swear i've met that guy...
You need to do his fingernails and toenails as well as doing the two brass rotary knobs on the bands holding the scope on his rifle and the brass button on his cuff - the face is perfect, like i mentioned, it looks a bit like someone i met once!!

Keep "knocking it out of the park" Cam'!

Thank you.

@ Archer, Thanks, and packing will be.....carefully.
@ Grim, Thanks bud.
@ DrH, Thanks bud, and will take it under advisement, giving it a couple days to settle in my head.
@ SirD, Thank you bud, really hope it lives up to the hype once in hand. Will be later this week. And yes waterfall will have to looked at.

OK, for better or worse, I am burying my head into hobby, don't much like the world at mo. Done an entry for the LoER comp, on Orky blog, it is done enough to enter, but may go a step or two further yet. Here, well I have several things on the go.

First up, test model for plague Nurgle things. Thoughts?

And I am starting some work on some AoS terrain, not really sure at the moment what really constetutes AoS terrain, all the batreps I have seen just have rocks and trees, not a great deal of buildings, and those that are present are ruins!

Having to paint under the floor before I stick the boards down.

Well comments etc, welcome as always, thanks for looking.
