My Menoth starter figures had horrid mold lines. The Cinerators have some of the worst mold lines I've ever had to deal with. On the other hand, my knights were pretty clean. I think it varies, but when figures have them, they have them bad.

This stuff, I don't recall hearing what material we'd be getting. I'm cool with plastic. Hell, I can live with restic. As long as it isn't like the spincast restic Defiance uses.

I thought people were happy with the PP resin/plastic? I say that as someone who doesn't own any and who doesn't like the steampunk aesthetic but I don't recall hearing any complaints about it other than having to use superglue.

That was before people had enough time to get to know it. After Mantic and Sedition Wars started using it, we found out that the material has a lot of flaws and weaknesses.

It's a nightmare.

This is misleading, the material is largely proprietary to the casters, so unless they are using the same company to produce their minis for them (which I don't believe they are), Privateer Press "restic" does not equal Mantic "restic", meaning you can't really say that Total Extinctions restic is horrible until you have minis in hand. That would be like saying that Forgeworlds resin is bad because of Finecast (which is really just spincast resin).

I dont want to get into trouble for this and it will be the only thing il leak but..
Total Extinction uses highly detailed plastic miniatures of 28mm scale

And il say this from looking at the pre ks page, were all in for an awesome ride! (Yes, you can quote me on this!)

Tim: Kickstarter don´t allow pays with paypal (http://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/backer+questions#faq_41775). Anyway the creator of the project never gets your credit card or bank account number.

Some people do not have access to a credit card but do have access to a paypal account

It could be worth allowing those who contact you back via paypal (assuming you have an account) as a number of other KS projects do,

(although as the funds are more susceptible being lost if a backer gets buyers remorse and claims for item non-delivery many projects don't allow this cash to count towards stretch goals)

It helps increase your backer number and cash take (and is good for backers without CC access), but does add another thing to keep track of so worth thinking about

Well, Indiegogo uses Paypal as it's main payment portal.

I guess to satisfy everyone, you'd need to run these things in parallel on both Kickstarter.com (Credit Cards) and Indiegogo (Paypal).

You don't need a credit card for KS a Debit Card is absolutely fine, I've been using it on all my KS and my Debit Card is only 1 step up from a card that you can only use at cash machines.

very interested on human tanks. Do you have any idea what their price point will be?(after the ks i mean). Also, would you mind posting the vehicles rough dimensions? like with height and depth?. Will they be on the KS?.

If i may be so bold, i would suggest you kick of with the vehicles, not the troopers, there are a metric ton of sci-fy human 28 mil troopers out there. Plastic vehicles, not so much.

Xxvaderxx the info on the tanks will be on the ks page once launched, im sure you wont be disappointed. Also the inital target of the ks is for the launch of the box set which is packed with cool stuff.

Overtyrant: Thanks for the info

xxvaderxx: As edlowe saids, in the Kickstarter campaign we will give more info about all the minis. If you like tanks I´m sure you won´t be disappointed.

Nothing. Not sure if it's worth it if you have the Kickstarter-publicity to start with, but somebody might try

I just found it funny how this discussion went, with so many people saying that'd not support the project on Indiegogo, including a few who said their beef with Indiegogo was the way they handle payment (i.e. paypal). As soon as Total Extinction went to Kickstarter, you had the same debate in reverse, with people asking for Paypal

@Zweischneid: I think it was less a problem with Paypal and more an issue with IndieNoGo's policy of immediate collection of funds.

Which is a Paypal feature (if used on a large scale, that is, unless you use Credit Cards through Paypal).

Or, more the other way around, Kickstarter's "not-immediate-collection" is largely a credit-card feature. It's not all that different to .. say .. booking an Hotel Room a month in advance with your credit card details, but you'll only get charged for the nights you booked (plus all the "add-ons" from the mini-bar) when you finally check out.

If Indiegogo were to change their "immediate collection" model to a Kickstarter-style model, it'd be a change from Paypal to Credit Cards.

I'll be checking things out... from work.

Will probably have to just put a preliminary dollar pledge and add everything via paypal later on.

Yeah, I had to read that twice as well. Though given the nature of the Shtorm it's a little fitting.
