What, Blade Runner? The one that came out in the super-limited Ninja Dragon Tiger edition with the Voight-Kampf machine briefcase and the plastic Spinner, which I paid a stupid amount for and is now available on eBay for less than $40?

@Dr H: Good answer. Me, I just turned 40. Still feel and play like a kid though, so all is fine on that front!
@Red Harvest: VHS's and no cell phones? , that's ancient! I was just trying to explain that to the cubs the other day, I'm not sure they fully understood it, though...
Back on topic: The metals on the water tower were made by rubbing on with powdered graphite over a blue-glazed hammered-textured paint.
Sometimes flames can tend to a round shape when burning after a pressurized outlet (Oil refinery combustion torch reference I tried to emulate):
Started working on the latest repurposing project, finally decided to go for and industrial look (overall aesthetic beheld, thanks Dr):
Built and added a roller curtain gate on one end, and began closing up the other side with grated panels (a mesh gate for the remaining gap is in the list). Pipes and/or cabling will be seen running under the opening on the roof.
C&C are always welcome.
Cheers.

It appears that I am the youngster around here then. According to the internet, I'm less than a year older than Bladerunner... I'll let you look it up yourself and make up your own minds...
Good start.

Ah research. Never would have thought to do that for flames. Lesson learned. Gracías
How are you crimping the roller curtains? And don't forget the roof vent-- give some cover to anyone on the roof.

Thanks all, glad you like it so far, more will be done.
@Briancj: Sorry, missed that while tipping. Do you still have that machine? There's a couple people I'd love to try it on; I've always have doubts about them....
@Dr H: Not your fault, you are forgiven !
@Red H: Cheers! As for the roller curtains, nothing too fancy, I'm afraid. Just a strip of metal foil (wine bottle hood, though aluminium foil - cooking type, maybe folded over for added thickness and strength - should probably work as well), manually pressed over and under some toothpicks to give it the corrugated/ribbed shape.
Por favor, just let me know If that doesn't make enough sense, and I'll take a picture instead!

Roof access update.
Did some welding (well, soldering at least) and built the ladder from square mesh:
And bending straws for added pipping and drain.
I moved the tank to the roof, which left me wondering if I'll keep the actual base or use a smaller one, limited to just the building footprint + a sidewalk.
Also started on some vents for the rear, though not pict worth yet.
C&C are always welcome.
Thanks for stopping by.

Giving in to recurrent hobby-ADD, started on a new project.
A commission of sorts, it'll be an attempt at a Tau Hammerhead, odd angles and curved shapes et all.
Besides the real thing and reference picks, I managed to dig up a template, but found it a bit lacking on the soft/curved aspect of the Tau look, so decided to go all in and try my own.
Just for warming things up, initial parts sketch and first cut-out pieces:
Probably lots of sanding and gap-filling in the foreseeable future...
Thanks for stopping by.
PS: Thanks for the previous comments as well, and by no means calling the building done, just opening a new front here, will get back to painting any time as well.
Cheers.

I love that ladder, I dunno why I never yet worked with wire netting before if it helps create such cool works. The building looks super and I look forward to see progress on that front.
As to tau tech...you mastered curves before, so I am quite confident about that build

@Camkierhi: Glad you think so, we'll see how it goes! @monkeytroll: Thin styrene, layering, and a hot air gun. If that doesn't work, the dremmel will came in handy. And, failing that, there's always the terrain way (1). @Dr H: Thanks. Will try to document better than usual, in case I strike the right way to pull it! @Vik: Regarding the wire mesh, you should, lots of possibilities in there, just be ware of flying ends when cutting! And thanks for the vote of confidence! @Squidbot: Thank you, and welcome! Bladerunner old? Not at all, not old, classic. As are we (1982? That was yesterday!) (1) Terrain method: Take a hammer to a failed project, paint it in rust tones and call it terrain. Start over; ideally, having learnt from the experience in the process First assembly stage, main hull base structure: Other angles: (First curved profiles and layered piece visible on the last two - underside - pics). The front side panels will probably be tricky to shape indeed, multiple angles on the same piece, that will require some further though. C&C are always welcome. Thanks for stopping by.
