the blue looks like you should mess it up a little. I'm sure the SM inside didn't give up without a fight. Also , I imagined the daemon leaning forward and twisting the chassis a bit more. Might wana edge highlight the blue, btw.

I think I'd prefer seeing the armor clean and crisp, but with a bettle-carapace sheen.

i guarantee you i've seen it around, just............. can't remember where. Or maybe it was just the effect that was achieved from the use and layering of certain paints and finishes

I'm not sure if it will show up in the images but I've sorted the base colour for notha etassay now. It's sort of a shimmery black/purple colour. Now for the details and weapons.

Well. It's been a while. Due to personal issues I've not been doing much lately, however I'm back now with a couple of bitz box specials and a rather contentious abaddon. Lol.
As abaddon is probably the most powerful character in the chaos codex I decided he needs to be included in my gaming army.
He won't be included in the display version though.

Lightning claw is ocaldo bright silver base with west design cobalt blue over it.
Sword is white scar with west designs cobalt blue and bright red. Blended towards the base to give a purple colour.

Lol. I'm sure any inks would do dude. Just find a local art store and experiment with what they have. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying gw's inferior products.

Fair enough, but I do love me some citadel paints, I was raised to paint improperly!

Lol. I do use the citadel paints. I just prefer inks to gws washes.

True, I prefer P3 set of inks, just has a better pigment concentration IMO.

Wow thanks, and Yep. It's a leftover from another kit. Hopefully he'll be finished this week, along with my 3rd csm squad.
My next project? Either a defiler or starting work on my blade dancers. Oh and the adept cycerin mini I started months ago.

Having just finished the IW omnibus I've had similar ideas for building an army around Honsou et al. These guys are looking great. Keep it up mate I look forward to more.
