Thanks! Nostalgia is behind half of the in-jokes I put in these sketches.

Oh yeah I as gonna say... wut no topknots? That must be the *super* evil faction

Yeah, the topknots, shoulder pads and augmetic eyes are pretty much reserved for standard grimdark humans. I'll probably mix it up a bit with some horns or mohawks at some point, but it was a nice running gag. I didn't think it would work with the Shadowkosh, but then, maybe I just missed a great opportunity.

Wish I had thought of those. I'll have to save them for a later sketch...

Don't forget the shadowkosh inquisitor (jack the ripper), he's probably a better fit for the pimp cane

Don't forget to have allied forces for the shadowkosh, maybe a dynamic duo hanging out with them on an intergalactic road trip.

That *is* a car phone! Nice catch, I didn't see the cord. I kind of remember them, I think exactly one person I knew growing up had one.

I've started a holiday project thread for all of us over here. Join me, won't you?

Also, some new stuff.

50 quatloos to the first person who 'gets' this next one.

More parodies are coming up, but for now there's this guy.

These were going to be decals or laser etched designs. Yes, that's the Emperor.

Some of those pictures are almost twice as large as the actual physical drawings. Pretend they don't look so shaky and messy.

OK, this update will have minis in it.

A work in progress. Whenever I am drawing at the playground or the mall (stupid lines), I tend to pencil with ink. Probably should stop.

5 million Deutschmarks for the armor and no face protection? Nein!

Stupid Mantic with their stupid hipster concept design posers.

Guess who.

There's always the guy with the swords...

Never thought to try butchering some men at arms to stick with the proxie pieces.

Could be interesting, using a bit proxie, some dreamforge, some mantic, a few skulls for the skull god... make yourself a nice goulash army.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I enjoyed assembling them. They are great for faceless grunts. I'll probably get more for generic sci fi bad dudes if/when I ever get the boy into gaming.

Yay! I'm sending them via courier. They'll leave the dollar sign-coated package outside your front door while you're on vacation.

And thanks!

Proxie minis are great for that. Mantic and Dreamforge give you tons of spare arms and weapons. Proxie provides cheap torsos.

Well, it's been a while. I'm going to post more of my works in progress since I never seem to finish anything. I tend to have brief, intense periods of inspiration that last for a few days to maybe a couple weeks, and then I have to move on to a new project or else I end up just staring at unfinished models and resenting them. Sadly, I've only had an hour or so a week to work on minis lately, although I hope that changes over the holidays.

Anyway, my latest on again off again project is kit bashing vehicles in DZC scale, or close to it at 1/144 or even 1/100 for monster tanks.

On the left is a drone fighter, the kind Skynet would use for air superiority. It is essentially a pilotless, modified F-15 with some MiG parts, a 1/35(?) missile cone that Catharsix gave me, and a 1/700 rowboat to make it look different while maintaining its Alex Holker-friendly appearance of aerodynamics. I still need to add weapons, although I've already added the hole for the integrated plasma cannon under the nose.

On the right is a cheap plane that I covered in gunpla parts for that mechanime look that seduced me into the Robotech Tactics Kickstarter.

Since I am using my iPad, I can only add one photo per post.

Here you can see the side views. The drone fighter is mostly done except for weapons, but the falsitech Fauxkyrie needs a lot more work, including some panels to bridge the forward wing engines, the fuselage, and the rear missile racks, and eliminate the wasp-waisted look.

Here is a rear view. The anime space jet has lots of thrust behind it.

Did I mention that the space jet has variable wing geometry? You bet it does.

I've also been kit bashing a lot of spaceships, mostly out of Battleship Yamato or Star Trek kits, but most of them just aren't polished enough for me to share them. This one's the best so far, and still only half-done and a bit sloppy.

The big turrets swivel. The little turrets should swivel, too, which is why I haven't installed them yet.

There is still a lot of work to do to turn this battleship into a campy space battleship, but at least the back fully developed. I spent a lot of time on the rear.

I have at least one Scarecrow and one Hunter from MEdge earmarked for guardian modes.

Here is a fighter in DZC scale for my Eisenkern. I had guns added on the TIE wings, but they weren't heroic enough. Looking for replacements.

Vermonter requested some pics of my glorlons, so here they are. I got a squad of five and a leader, apparently the sweet spot pledge for that kickstarter. One of my glorlons is missing, ironically because I probably put him in a shoe box of minis to photograph. The leader is near the middle.

Wow, an honest to goodness Glorlon in the wild.

You must be like one of four people in the civilized world to actually have some.

For some reason I thought they would have been bigger. Not sure why.

By all means keep posting pictures one at a time, because if other people are posting that means my own posting will intensify, and I'll go get more done.

Nice, I like the inverted hull.

What ship was it orginally?

Cool plog. Some really interesting models and conversions going on in here, which is always nice to see.

Looking forward to seeing more.
