I kinda like the idea of "party supplies" as objectives. I'm still wrestling with the hot tub dilemma. I might do a few things like that. I already have the heavy metal marine. So now we just need sex and drugs to go with the rock n roll. The hot tub, as it stands, is going to be attempted in the quad riptide. I have a very vague mental sketch of the build, but I'm trying to finish up a couple of my current projects before I dive in.
@IHateNids: You're correct on the parallel circuit problem. I think I am going to skip on lighting the cannons because the first battery is already kind of obvious from the right angle (mounted under it's butt), so I don't want another one complicating things. My build on this was really not very elegant, I wish I had saved it for later, but the titan idea called to me.
Too bad you couldn't use button batteries and their holders on the outside, sculpted and painted to look like those little round shield-y bits the Tau seem to like so much.
Such a shame that wouldn't work at all.
Ever.
At all.

Subtle. Almost too subtle. I nearly missed it. The truth is that the guns are already glued together, and that's more the reason why I don't want to try and alter them at the moment. Trying to crack apart long, thin sections of plastic, much of it glued along delicate sections? That's begging for catastrophic damage to the parts. Yes, it's thoroughly possible to GS/glue a drone disc to the clip of a 20mm cell holder and effectively camouflage the thing in plain sight. I can even add a bunch of exposed power cables from various sources so that, once they were all in place, the exposed wire leading to the guns wouldn't really be an issue. But the guns themselves present the biggest problem, trying to open up something that I built to be thoroughly shut.
Now, knowing me? I'll probably try it anyway when I finally start trying to finalize the build. How many times throughout the log have I done something like that, followed by a blurb about how I ruined the pieces and had to order a new one? Spoiler alert, I've done that a lot. So it'll probably happen again and I may or may not have to redesign the titan in the process, but I was already going to add wings and a tail once I got the right Gundam kits (got a good tail idea from Nataku Custom). I'll be in Japan next month and I'll pay the Gundam museum a visit. Yes, that's a real place.
At long last, this thing is finally done. I need to get some time to take real pictures of it, maybe even use a backdrop for once, and make a big collage to put in the gallery. Better pics and a Youtube video showcasing the sonic weapons will be forthcoming.
Pretty awesome. Still not sure the graffiti on the nose is bold or rude enough, though. Maybe paint over with purple and write "Eldar suck dick" in bigger letters?
Yes I know this is the last thing you want to hear after all this work I apologize. It's a bit like someone going up to Leonardo da Vinci and saying, "hey, the bridge in the background -- behind the Mona Lisa's left ear -- I think you need to clean up the brushwork a bit."

You know, I am actually quite pleased with the graffiti. I was going to change it but now it just feels right. I might go back and change it to "Mods are dicks" just because I hate forum moderators, especially on ATT, but no doubt they'd get their panties in a bunch and ban me.

Oh not that stuff. There was some exchange over PM and some other interaction where a couple of the mods were just plain uncool. Do try to have some facts before you go weighing in on something

Just gonna point out I'm a mod elsewhere (Ever heard of Gothicwars? ). You already know my stance on your stuff, so yeah. I'd let it fly

I've got the Remora on the painting table now, and it's coming along quickly. There's not very much to it, and to be honest I'm almost never going to field it so i don't really give two gaks. It's the last thing that's built and needing a pint job, though, so I'm getting rid of it before I move on to any more builds. In theory anyway. I did a little more work on the super broadside, changing out the flamestorm cannon arm for a piece of a Menoth warjack (Vanquisher), mostly because I didn't feel like wiring up another light. Lazy, I know lol. One problem I have right now is that I just got three videogames in the mail. Three. And they're all ones that I really want to play. And I should really be studying Japanese a couple hours a night for the next couple weeks. So I think the models are going to slow down a bit during April.

Dark Souls 2, Thief for PS4, and FF13 which I actually hadn't played yet. FF13 was first on the play list, but I found out that the ebay seller I bought it from did not include all the discs, so it's stuck maybe a third of the way through. Lame. Age of Wonders 3 just came out too, which looks like total crack from what little I played tonite. So...yeah. Games everywhere.
But on the bright side I did churn through a bunch of my first level Japanese lessons in quick time, and I got the remora painted.
And photobucket decided to take a big dump on me. I'll upload pics in a minute.

Nice use of the Necron Lychgard shield on the remora!
And if japanese is anything like Mandarin, you are doing well pickng it up.

AoW3 has consumed me. Its wretched claws are sunk deep between my ribs as it pulls me deeper into its vicious orbit. I wasted my entire day off playing this game, and I completed 2 missions. I don't mean a whole day off as in 3 hours or so, I mean the whole damn thing. I forgot to eat dinner, that's how addicting this game is. Needless to say, painting took a backseat to smiting my enemies. But frankly, I'm somewhat stalled out until I get more large bases. I can finish the Tachikoma though...

Actually, Japanese is very similar to Mandarin in terms of structure and even some of the symbols are the same, but then they add two extra alphabets on top of that and you're like, 'dafuq?'

Mini-update to tell you about my egregious stupidity. I did the same goddamn thing I did on my first broadside. I hollowed out a channel in the Tachikoma's torso for the wires to go through and then I completely forgot to feed them through when soldering. The wires are an absolute mess now but I don't dare clip them off and try to redo them, since they were a bitch and a half to solder due to poor planning on my part. Now I need to do some kind of big filler pieces to hide this rat's nest of wires hanging out of the torso. Other than that, though, that suit is coming together very well and all the lights are working, guns are attached, thorax thingy is on and everything.
Big filler pieces......torso.........might I suggest "boobs"?
If you can snap a picture I might be able to give a real idea of what to do with it though.

Could do a "Dynamic Entry!" basing scheme, with the Tachikoma riding a satellite through reentry. Or make it into battle damage. Some of these heavily converted armies kinda need to look shiny and perfect, but I think with the sort of grungier sleazy cant your army is heading towards, having a battle damaged unit or two wouldn't be out of place.

I'm already working on a dynamic entry base with a crisis suit swooping down and nailing an assault marine mid flight, using the marine's rocket exhaust to connect them to the base
I got the Tachikoma mostly done now. Still working on the chest area abdomen thorax thing. Bug anatomy words.
