What about the Ion Cannon from the Hammerhead kit?
based on one of my own failed projects, it fits quite nice on a DK arm

A single Sentinel Plasma cannon won't be big enough. Two might work, but eh... it's just two tiny guns. I'd try other Leman Russ guns - Vanquisher and Executioner are what I'd recommend. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh, and keep the missile pods

There aren't enough dildos in this army. That is a fact.
I wish I had any of the guns you guys have listed. Closest thing I have is a SM Hunter sky spear launcher.

And you're wondering what to stick on that arm? Why not try it out? Or is it just way too massive?
Also, how'd you get that? Just a basic bitz trade? Because I'd figure you'd also have access to the gatling cannons from that kit if you'd bought the whole thing...

Look closely at the receivers on those arm cannons. Those are the bodies of the gatling cannons. As you can see, they were too small to stand on their own and needed to have a bigger barrel put on them. I haven't tried out the Skyspear launcher because work has kept me shackled to my desk (VIP in town for a couple days and we have to keep up appearances of actually doing a job). I put two ion cannons on the Mad Cat broadside. I am now out of ion cannons. I have the bits from the new Riptide kit I've been fiddling with, but I think I'm gonna need those guns for that build.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend Riptide guns for this. Too big, same with the Ion cannon I think.
The cannon will work if nothing else, but it's just a tad... meh, all things considered. I mean, a massive plasma cannon or super long cannon would be perfect, but the Battle cannon does work.

You know, it just might. I'd have to double it up and then figure out how to mount it. Hmm...have to figure it out. Automatically Appended Next Post: Turns out that I am fresh out of railguns. I've used chunks of those guns in a lot of miscellaneous builds and it seems I left myself high and dry. You know what surprisingly never works? The pulse submunition guns from O'ralai. I have 3 of them somehow and they look totally wrong on everything.

Customer: Now then, some weapons, please, my good man.
Owner: (lustily) Certainly, sir. What would you like?
Customer: Well, eh, how about a railgun?
Owner: I'm, afraid we're fresh out of railguns, sir.
Customer: Oh, never mind, how are you on burst cannons?
Owner: I'm afraid we never have that at the end of the week, sir, we get them fresh on Monday.
Customer: Tish tish. No matter. Well, stout yeoman, four fusion blasters, if you please.

Owner: Yessir. It's..ah,.....it's a bit overcharged...
Customer: Oh, I like it overcharged.
Owner: Well,.. It's very overcharged, actually, sir.
Customer: No matter. Fetch hither the rare prototype which may only be taking once per detachment! Mmmwah!
Owner: I...think it's a bit more overcharged than you'll like it, sir.
Customer: I don't care how fething overcharged it is. Hand it over with all speed.
Owner: Oooooooooohhh........! (pause)
Customer: What now?

Owner: Rad grenade, sir.
Customer: IS it.
Owner: Oh, yes, it's staggeringly popular in this sector, squire.
Customer: Is it.
Owner: It's our number one best seller, sir!

Owner: (brightly) You haven't asked me about Deathstrike missiles, sir.
Customer: Would it be worth it?
Owner: Could be....
Customer: (slowly) Have you got any Deathstrike missiles?
Owner: No.
Customer: Figures.Predictable, really I suppose. It was an act of purest optimism to have posed the question in the first place. Tell me:
Owner: Yessir?
Customer: (deliberately) Have you in fact got any weapons here at all.
Owner: Yes, sir.
Customer: Really?
(pause)
Owner: No. Not really, sir.
Customer: You haven't.
Owner: Nosir. Not a scrap. I was deliberately wasting your time, sir.
Customer: Well I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to shoot you for heresy.
Owner: Right-Oh, sir.
(The customer takes out a bolt pistol and shoots the owner)
Customer: What a *senseless* waste of human life.

Sydney, for that submission you are awarded +25 Internets and a fancy hat with tassels. You'll be the envy of all the jaegermonsters henceforth. Automatically Appended Next Post: Okay, so I looked a bit deeper into my work backlog and I came across a Forgefiend that I was supposed to light up for my bro out here, which has been simmering on the back burner because feth it that's why. I looked in there and I found the hades autocannons that he didn't even want to use, and I start fiddling with them. I bit the bullet and cut new barrels out of plastic tubing to replace the cool but incompatible skull barrels, and then covered the receiver up with space marine armor plating. Here's how it came out next to the original chain gun:
And here it is attached:
And last but not least, LET THERE BE LIGHT:
And since I snatched a bunch of the parts, I decided to finally start working on the fiend. It came partially pre-assembled in a manner I did not approve of, so i snapped and chopped it and now it's got dreadnaught feetsies and it'll be cooler when it's all said and done:
Automatically Appended Next Post: The whole time I was building that big suit, I found myself wishing that I had a Knight titan I could compare it to. It makes the dreadknight base looks small by comparison, and unlike GW's knight, this thing looks like it could actually move under its own power.

There's just something I dislike about perpendicular weapons on dangling mech arms- It's like, if you're going to have a hard-mount, why not just put the guns directly on the shoulder joint? Why the extra bits that are just more points of potential failure?
I mean, Madcat, sure- but even then, the arms flowed directly into the weapon mounts from the back, not the top. Could you try that sort of setup?
Or, potentially stick some hands on there, and have it holding the guns all underslung.

It's a little bit way to late for that. I mean, all the parts are glued. On like five different points. And the arms would have to be chopped up and reposed in order to make them bent for underslung weapons (otherwise the guns will be pointed straight at the ground). And the mounts I built are so thoroughly glued into the wrists that if I remove them it will destroy the whole wrist and forearm. I get where you're coming from, and you've seen that I normally go for that design, but this was where I wanted the project to go pretty much from the get go.

I getcha. Just putting that out as personal preference- and honestly, the perpendicular mounting fits the shape of this guy a little better anyways- This suit's all about the odd projections from the center of mass.

I preferred the original's perforated muzzle as well. It was hella dope. But, since I lacked a second one I had to find a compromise. I feel like the suit still needs a little something, a certain panache added in somewhere.

I wish I had more riptide leg armor to use, but I'm fresh out. And I'm not sure they would actually fit in the space available. That's assuming that the chimera track guards could be pulled off without completely destroying the legs. Quite a gamble. If I had any more plates I'd definitely give it a look, since I think that would actually look pretty sweet.
