This is... mostly a joke, but lets see how seriously we can take it!

Unlike most Imperial Guard, the Elysians do not travel with heavy equipment and weaponry as part of their normal force organisation. They are, however, unique amongst drop troop regiments because of the astounding wealth of their home planet, a major, multi-sector trade hub. However, any Guard commander knows that without a solid base around which to build a firing line, any army can be divided and conquered. The answer to this was, to some, simple enough. Orbitally deployed fortification networks.

Drop Bastion {Heavy Support}................... Bastion +20 points

Stats: As Bastion
Special Rules: As Bastion, Unique, Deep Strike, Combat Drop, Emplaced Gun*

*While the Bastion's additional wargear may normally be placed on the ground near the structure, a Drop Bastion's nature requires that it be placed atop the structure. A Drop Bastion may not have an Escape Hatch.

Aegis from the Skies {Elites}............................Aegis +20 points

Stats: As Aegist Defence Line
Special Rules: As Aegis Defence Line, Unique, Deep Strike, Combat Drop

Meteor Landing Pad {Platoon Unit}...................Skyshield +20 points

Stats: As Skyshield Landing Pad
Special Rules: As Skyshield Landing Pad, Unique, Deep Strike, Combat Drop

So what happens when the Bastion lands on top of another unit. Deep Strike Mishap? Could you use it as a kinetic projectile? Can it be taken as a dedicated transport?

On a more serious note. I could see an aegis defense line unfolding from a drop pod. Although why is it in the Elite slot?

Because it's better than a troops choice, but not solid / heavily armed enough to be heavy support.

Hmm. Mishapping bastions. No, I think it should probably displace like a drop pod for consistencies' sake (although there's no consistency in the Monolith, so...)

Seems pretty reasonable. Might need to add slightly more to the points for Deep Strike, since it allows you to react to your opponent's deployment and movement, which initial fortifications do not. (This assumes they roll for Reserves and deploy via Deep Strike as normal. However, since Fortifications usually deploy before the battle, this may not be the case, but you don't address this in your rules. I think this is probably how they should work, though maybe they should be deployed on Turn 1 or Turn 2 automatically, to represent the fact that they would almost certainly be sent in ahead of or along with the first wave.)

As an aside, I do have to wonder why your "Aegis From the Skies" pays Aegis points, but gets Bastion stats...

Typoes! But yes, I was assuming that they would deep strike normally.

Hmm. I shall add 'Combat Drop' to their special rules, allowing them to count as valkyries for that rule (Elysians can bring on up to half their valkyries, sky talons, drop sentinels and sentry guns on turn one automatically)

why not drop a fortress of redemption or a few baneblades?

Baneblades are too delicate. Fortress of Redemption isn't the right size or shape to put in a drop pod, and they're supposed to be ancient relics in any case.

I only did the basic ones from the rulebook (not including the Fortress) because I didn't want to get into everything, and to be honest, it's really easy to just extrapolate and say "to make a fortification droppable, increase its cost by 20 points and add Deep Strike, Unique and Combat Drop to its rules".

Besides, while I can see someone building a drop pod around a void shield generator (Although it would have to be a much higher grade pod than the ones used by Marines due to the delicate machinery, probably Tau-level tech), it doesn't seem reasonable to do the same with a whole fortification network or an awkwardly-shaped fortress.

Ultimately, a bastion or an aegis is a simple piece of kit that's basically a solid (or hollow) lump of ferrocrete. More complex things would require more resources or just be flat-out impractical.

Fragile? Hmmph. Give me my Deep Striking air-dropped Baneblade!

Special Rule: Blots Out The Sun
On the turn the Baneblade deep-strikes, all units within 6" are affected by the rules for Night Fighting.

The fact that you don't have rules to drop one of these is completely unacceptable. Please fix this.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
