Not really. I mean, if they were supplementing codexes and basically use the release as a means of public playtesting/feedback I'd be okay with that, but I don't expect GW to do something like that honestly.

Mind backing that up with something from the rulebook to collaborate? I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that counter-arguments are stronger with collaborating evidence.
Deffrekka, not necessarily saying that you're WRONG here, but the rules for Barrages, blasts, and template weapons and how they hit or don't hit different levels of a ruin have essentially been removed from 7th Edition. So right now it's basically a guess as to how blasts are expected to affect ruins.
So there is no rule stating that you can't put a barrage blast UNDER a skyshield pad and hit the units under it.
My group has already agreed to house-rule that blasts, barrages, and templates work the same way they did in 6th, as if those pages on ruins and blasts from 6th were copied into the 7th edition book. We're assuming eventually it will get errata'd, since it makes no sense otherwise. You end up with crazy situations where a flame template can hit 3 levels of a ruin simultaneously.

It's quite easy to get the right dimension.
Go to http://www.games-wor...de-DE/Morkanaut
Open the 360° view. Frontal view. Zoom until the base has a width of 17cm.
Then you can measure all important parts.

without going YMDC on it, it says it hits everything under the template, nothing else, so they hit everything under the template (depending on the type as to where the LOS of the shot is)

Im thinking about buying a cheapo buggy off ebay and cutting it half, buying a mek gunz box and using it to make 3 guns.
Kinda off topic but does anyone have any ideas on what to use a chassis for a custom built BW? I have 3 standard ones but im looking to make one for my inevitable flash gits squad and dont feel like dropping the cash for another one.

If you've got lots of plasticard, there's a certain series of dollar store construction vehicles that have amazingly similar dimensions to a battle wagon...hehehe.

I get the feeling that those Taurox chassis are pretty flashy! Must cost a good bit o' teef to acquire one of those, if you know what I mean...

I'm considering some 1:35 scale kits for my next one....
http://www.emodels.co.uk/plastic-kits/italeri-m923-foot-truck-p-12525.html
http://www.emodels.co.uk/plastic-kits/italeri-m985-hemtt-truck-6510-p-44030.html

http://www.emodels.co.uk/plastic-kits/trumpeter-russian-heavy-tractor-komintern-05540-p-36193.html
Beef up or replace any wheels, add some plasticard armour and hack the crew compartments into ork sizes.
I've also been working on totally scratch-built vehicles recently. Get a mitre cutting box and a load of square styrene tubing and the basic shapes can be knocked out pretty easily. The most difficult part is getting wheels and tracks to look OK.

I almost have this thing painted. If you all want to see some WIP pics go to this thread so we don't derail this thread much.

As for the legs, they were not modified, however I did modify how they were connected. I basically cut his mid back part off and assembled it much lower. Then I used plasticard to rebuild the mid back.

Looks much cooler. I'm sure it's been mentioned before that the official model should come with a set of wheels to help support that big, awkward pregnant belly as it waddles along the battlefield, like the 'fatty' from the Judge Dread miniatures game.

Yea and the same rules say to look through the template to see whats beneath it, so you can't in practice hit guys through multiple levels. You definitely can pick the bottom level and ignore the floors to place it there, but people are definitely forgetting the process to actually figure out what counts as a hit when they say it hits every floor.

Actually, if you place the template at the base, and then angle it up , then look down throughout it, you at hitting multiple floors, nothing says to keep the template level.

I like the modification, but much prefer the more squat version. I don't need the Gorkanaut to be bigger than the knights. I like the mini-stomps vibe it has going.
Besides, between the ultra short legs and the 30 foot drop for the guys being transported, it strikes me as even less useable than the little one.

I wouldn't say that. Orks are known for hanging onto the sides of the transports and disembarking from even greater heights. Big Squiggoth anyone? The jump from that thing is three times higher. Right now they got perhaps a 12 feet jump out the doors which is nothing to an ork.

I like yours more than the GW model. That Dakkadakkadakkagun could be a bit bigger, but I probably wouldn't have bothered too, having such a well-fitting bit.
On the other hand, making a custom gatling-type gun ain't that tricky if you have plastic tubes handy.
