In the meanwhile lions are alined and ready for... lunch! :-D
No feathers!!! I am so in for some of these!!

Well, tbh one of the does have an option for feathered helmet "-)
We have 99% concluded KS-1 and awaiting pm's from anyone who might have not yet been notified before posting the last update calling it "officially" fulfilled.
It has been a great and rewarding experience for us, we hope it has worked both ways :-)
My KS shipment arrived. Some cool stuff in there, even if I don't know what to do with most of it!
I got the orc wyvern with no rider - no regrets at all, its a great model for representing any kind of drake without the bulk and majesty of a full sized dragon.
Would love 2-3 of those guys, especially with a wingless option (please?)
Is the resin easy to repose? Does the hot water trick work?

So many games, so little time.
So many models, even less time.
Screw it, Netflix and chill.

@Micky
Errr... wingless option? I don't know what you have in mind, rather curious what these are intended for!
Our resin is a very expensive mixture that (as you can see for yourself) makes it hard and resistant. The whole point is to avoid the whole hot water procedure so one would simply have to very slightly clean up, prime and ready to paint.
Edit: I'm trying to upload some of the terrain teasers for 2016 we posted on our FB page but stupid photobucket for some reason dissallows the upload :-(
Edit-2: scratch that! :-D

We have a lot of things in the works, 2016 may be our best year yet; we'll see! :-D
In the meanwhile we have released some teasers from project Monuments of Glory II, following the success we had with the first one we simply had to do... more!
Gamers will not have much interest in this but painters will :-)
First we start with a miniature for our Orc supporters!
This is a sculpt from our first KS, the Valley Orc Shaman (there's also a youtube video of the review here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGUHS5xnvxo)
which will be available at a discounted price through our KS-2 too!
Here at Shieldwolf Miniatures we go to great length to keep on working on it becoming even better! So, all 360's are being re-worked on so people can get a visual of any Shieldwolf miniature as if it was in their hands! Â :-D
Here's a 360 view we have been working on although unfortunately we have encountered serious interference with our primary website build-up! (still WiP...)
http://3dhub.gr/360/
and here's a teaser of the Shieldmaidens Monstrous Cavalry Unit... Â
According to experience accumulated from our KS-1, we will have a pledge made available for warbear mounts only (just like we did for our Siberias Lions) Â :B):
We do however feel the ladies atop do make the beasts look... prettier! Â ;D
Hope you like them as much as we do! Â 8-)
That's all for now I guess, a very merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
I have Girls riding a Mamoth and a Woolly Rhino but not a Bear - that does look very cool....
I AM A MARINE PLAYER

There really aren't enough bear mounts out there on the market, let alone ones ridden by shieldmaidens.
If these are big enough (which I hope they will be), and the maidens aren't actually sculpted on to the bears, I could see myself getting a few more for other projects I have in mind.
I like the fact that the bear itself seem pretty heavily armored.
Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Well, they are even larger than our Siberias lions!
I don't know if they are big enough, we think they are but here's for you to judge ;-)
(hastily photoshoped image with Orc and Warbear respectively standing on 25mm square and 75mmx50mm bases)
And "Yes, the maidens will be sculpted separately and not integrated with the bears", we have already decided and pre-commissioned "who-will-do-what" and in what deadline, the less loose ends we have the smoother the campaign should work out...

The plastic orcs are a nice kit, I recommend them! The heads are very cool.
I played with those sprues last year and I'm currently revisiting them just now for some wicked conversions. The Orc kit is just mind blowing awesome in every way! I highly recommend them too.
Thank you both!
The terrain is a separate release that has nothing to do with our 2nd Kickstarter, just like our fantasy busts. Just teasers for now to let people know what the company is up to and what more is to be expected :-)
RivenSkull wrote: Any plans to do undead or demons in the second KS?
Negative. We feel that was a mistake made in KS-1 and have decided to take this one step at a time instead.
The main plan (blunty put) is focused 1st) to maintain our customer service and KS reputation at the present level and 2nd) to fund two full, truly high quality armies per year via crowdfunding. IF it goes high enough in this KS-2, we do however have 2 plastic kits planned for mercenaries (but these are not "full" armies, nor are they playable in our game as solo). It might sound little but in just 2-3 years time it's definitely going to have changed Shieldwolf Miniatures completely; we just need people's faith to join ours, we are putting our money in this along with yours after all :-)
We are also hoping this will allow us to grow enough so we can focus on plastic production on our own and not necessarily need crowdfunding to produce new product, just like we did with our first kit. But for that to happen the range needs to inevitably grow a lot more...
Also, we hope people will like our game, we believe it crucial that they do. :-)
PS. If things work out, when we do decide to do undead or daemons and with the knowldedge we have gathered these past years, please expect something *really* good. We are very familiar with the competition after all and our learning curve is growing ;-)
Very excited to see what the Shieldmaidens kit ends up looking like. I will ask you one favour though: please, for the love of Jeebus, put *proper* scale pictures up on the KS page.
That means absolute(ie the model next to a ruler with mm) and relative(ie the model next to others from several manufacturers, on the same height of base, and taken from a fairly "flat" angle). I know some folk don't care, but for me at least it's very important that all the models I use for a project "fit" visually, and aforementioned pics are the best way to figure that out without holding the models in your hand.

Subject: Shieldwolf Miniatures - Official News thread (KS-2 launches Tuesday 12th, more on pg. #24)
@Yodhrin
First of all the advice is much appreciated, the more loose ends dealt with prior to the launch can only do good :-)
The plastics are intended for HIPS tooling, that means the models are going to be sculpted/printed as 3-ups, there's no 28mm scale mini printed for this as it would have no purpose.
As you probably know, 3-ups are the models we use for tooling but exactly 3 times larger for what is intended as the final product. This time we use both traditional sculpting and CAD. Both sculptors commissioned for this have worked for what we consider (by far) the largest company worldwide, so they know *very* well what they are doing. We have the experience and we are certainly not first timers in this. People that have our plastic Orcs can verify the scale compared to said company, maybe some are lurking here too so it's better you hear it from them...?
We know people want to be able to use them with existing armies, so we are making sure that works out for everyone :-)
Regardless, we will have posted what we consider a *very* representative scale comparison picture. If that doesn't suffice however, our people here will see to all questions/doubts answered during the campaign and not after that has ended :-)
@Corgan
Thank you but oh, I'm sure we will do better than that :-)
Besides @Yodhrin, KS-2 will again be offering the money-back guarantee, so if all goes well and you decide to support us, should they not be to your liking all you'll have to do is mail them back to us. We will refund you 100%, fees included. We are confident of our skills and certainly not here to fool around :-)
