Just seeing how many codexes you own! Why do you own them? For fluff? To learn about the enemy armies? Because you play 14 different armies?

I own 7, mainly for fluff. I own Tau, Tyranids, Orks, SM, CSM, CD, and Space wolves!

I also own the Farsight Enclaves supplement, but there are way to many supplements to count them all

I have two Guard codices; 5th and 6th.

I used to have the marine book, but I sold it some time ago as I wasn't planning on building a marine army for the foreseeable future.

Those are the only books I have a physical copy of.

Oh, I own some FW books. Most recently, Book Two of the HH because I love me some Salamanders.

If you mean current codexes, then 7 (Eldar, Tau, SM, AM, GK, Nids and CSM)

If you mean ever, then I also have the previous edition's codexes for: Eldar, Tau, BT, IG, GK, Crons

and I also have the pre-previous Eldar codex and its Craftworlds supplement

So 15 publications in total. Plus the 4th and 6th ed mini rulebooks, and 5th and 7th ed hardback rulebooks.

And a lot of WDs

I own a smattering on 2nd ed codexes.
All of the 3rd ed ones,
Codex: Space Marines from 4th, 5th, and 6th.
And the latest Eldar one.

Back in 3rd, I had a lot of disposable income, and was one of the core regulars at my FLGS, which netted me an employee discount. So I picked up all the books, which helped me teach new players the game, and cost me relatively nothing.

After that point, I just picked up the codex for my main army, C:SM. When I got a shot of hobby funds, I rebooted my secondary army, Eldar, so grabbed that book as well.

This man wins so far...

I own hard copies of 5, but I have all of the current ones digitally, except Sisters I believe. I own Tyranids, Space Marines, Imperial Knights, and Chaos Marines/Daemons. I think I'll be upping that to six as soon as I buy the Blood Angels one. My personal rule is to own the book if I own models from it, otherwise I just read it on my computer. I do also have the older versions of Tyranids (4th and 5th) Space Marines (4th) and Chaos Marines (4th).

I find digital codexes addictive -- for the units & rules, not the fluff. (I'm a compulsive homebrewer). My rule for myself is "buy any new digital 'dex that's not more Marines." And Escalation because BIG TANKS. And Stronghold Assault because, um, reasons.

Well, if you check out Sister Sydney's homebrew/expansion rules, you'll find all kinds of units the Sisters could have, that fit with the theme of the Sisters (as a tabletop army) perfectly well, and are damn-near-perfectly balanced.

I’m updating that fandex now & I’m eager for feedback on new home-brew units for the Sisters: Sororitas Bikers, infiltrators & Novices, tanks, flyers, characters, superheavies, Frateris Militia, and now Confessors and Battle Conclave characters

Stronghold Assault is basically Codex:Fortifications. It’s other role as a patch to the 6th ed building rules is no longer needed, but it’s still as much (or more) of a codex then some of the books currently sporting that title.

I have the previous Ork codex and the 6th edition rulebook. I bought them before I knew 7th edition was coming out soon, and it was right before Orks got updated.

Needless to say it left me a little bitter, but I still love reading through the codex.

I intend on purchasing the Chaos Daemons codex soon, since that's the army I'm building and even though I have a copy that I've printed in a binder I love the feel of an actual book in my hands.

I own physical hardcopies of tons of codex books, probably two dozen or more from various editions.

That said, of the $50 hardback books? Six. Chaos Space Marines, Space Marines, Dark Angels, Eldar, Tau Empire, Astra Militarum. I only paid for three (woooo store credit!).

I used to buy every book as they came out when they were $20/25. No longer.

I used to have about 25-30, 2nd edition onwards, now have about 3-4 that I've kept for nostalgia as owned them so long (20 years). Charity shopped the rest, plus 90% of the WFB books I had too. Kept 3 of those and another 20-25 odd got chucked.
