Aren't we lacking every Primarch from Book 3?

None of the Primarchs from book three have been done. We're still waiting on Dorn, Corax, Alpharius and Perturabo.

I must have gotten my book numbers mixed up, but I thought Vulcan and Ferrus Manus were in there. My mistake. In that case they shoudl be done first before going to release even more new material they are developing back-looged models. IThat being said I have thoroughly enjoyed the actual books despite not buying the actual models. i am seriously considering buying and paying someone much better than me to paint all the loyalist primarchs. Though Corax is first on my list.

The last primarch? All 4 still need to be done. But 2 are being worked on now and the other 2 will soon follow. May all be released by the end of the year.

9 Primarchs have been released in just under 3 years. That's around 3 a year so I don't think that is too much to ask. That said, more were released in 2013 than 2014 or 2012, so who knows.

That was because initially Sam was doing them on his own. Then Edgar started doing them with him. But Sam went to doing them on his own again whilst Edgar did all of the Solar Auxilia. After the Ogryns and command squad were finished Edgar joined Sam back on Primarch duty. So the speed had increased when they have had 2 of them working on the primarchs like they are now.

IIRC, the sculptors previously talked about working through some technical challenges with part of one primarch's gear.

Most assumed that meant Corax's pinions, so that's my bet for the next one, with Perturabo after that.

I wouldn't worry. Now that FW are in Black Library mode, where every minor scuffle will get its own £70 book as they spend years not getting to the point, they'll have plenty of time to release all the left-over Primarchs (except Alpharius of course, because reasons).

I wonder if Alpharius is going to be a one person model or two like in the fluff. The book three has the rules for one model only.

There are actually 30 sculpts. Each have identical faces but different poses. You buy a blister pack of 3. One of the sculpts is actually Alpharius, the rest are decoys. FW never releases which one is Alpharius.

It'll be one. There's a reason there's only rules for one Primarch in the FW stuff. They're written as if they're like historical textbooks, and Omegon wasn't common knowledge, he was pretty much only known inside the legion. So that's why there's no mention of him in Extermination.

Does Omegon exist or is it just another layer of Alpharius' (And the AL's) cosplay fetish?

I mean, as far as you can be sure with AL, he exists.

With this logic I can just buy a tactical squad of any Heresy era marines and call one of them "Alpharius" whenever I feel like it.

Yes, cosplay. There is nothing to see, move on.

Wouldn't an Omegon model be identical to an Alpharius model?
Just buy two, problem solved!

Heck why not get into the spirit and buy three or five, just to confuse everyone

I think there is definitely a difference between alpharius and omegon if you read the books. Forgeworld just likes to ad stuff in later books so I could imagine he will show op later in the series

The point is they would look identical. All they could do (which they won't) is do 2 different poses of the same sculpt.

It is the only one They currently plan to do with a helmet.

In the BL books Alpharius is usually depicted in power armour and Omegon in a black body glove, so I'd be unhappy if they used a power armour model for both.

I didn't really think they were anyway, but what actually changed your mind? Or was this sarcastic? I'm tired...

My order with Tempest was dispatched this morning at half 1 apparantly.

Yeah, Omegon was the leader of the Stealth Squads if I remember correctly... Efrit comes to mind, although that might have been the Terminators, I can't remember. So yeah, I would expect a different sculpt that could well be called Alpharius, but would be able to be taken in the same army... and has suscipiciously good stats for a Captain. Either way, Alpharius has that rule where when you kill him, it turns out that actually, it was this Marine over here who was really Alpharius, so it may not be neccessary, although having 2 characters doing that in one force would be damn annoying.
