Well, keep in mind, in many countries/places in order to keep an IP or a license you have to prove that you're using it, etc. So they are probably selling a few, but also need to keep pushing it to convince the licensor to keep it active.

Yup, gotta clear space for the inevitable primus marine kits. I miss the more unique kits FW used to release. And I miss the carcharadons transfer sheet. Is the hobbit stuff they are releasing actually selling? I was under the impression the hobbit game was on its deathbed and would vanish when the license expires...not to mention the hobbit movies were kind of cringeworthy.

The corpse of LotR/Hobbit will lurch on indefinitely GW we're terrified someone else could get the licence and do something with it.

As for the Hobbit stuff even for FW/GW it hideously overpriced they most likely have to sell very little to cover there costs.

As for what FW sell who knows as GW seem to be pulling the rug out from under them, AoSing 30k is not very likely to go well. A huge selection of there models like LR and Rhino doors and addons to plastic kits will be worthless once GW deep six the plastic models they are based on.

There going to be left with some frankly fugly BloodBowl miniatures, The Hobbit and vehicles for armies that are most likely end of lined.

Combine that with losing staff whom are not replaced and this may be the end of FW in It's current form which will please some people in GW proper no end.

I'd be surprised if they're gone for good. Someone may be able to prod them during warhammer fest

The DKOK Grenadier Squad, which had also been "out of stock" for months has now vanished.

It was the last thing I needed to complete my planned DKOK force, so I may have to trawl eBay :(

Email FW and ask them if they plan on bringing it back.

Also try doing a search on the website, rather than just browsing through using the filters; all of the Elysian stuff disappeared recently and the came back, but the senior HQ isn't tagged right for the filters, so doesn't appear unless you do a full search.

Or it's chance to sell new set of add on. Same again! Most of existing addon sales are already done anyway

Can people prod them and ask if they still have plans to release some fires of curaxus models without rules in the interim since it's going to take even longer again to get it made to 8th rules.

Considering that the new Hobbit rulebook has been sold out several times now and seeing that the Hobbit tournament scene is one of the most active ones in Germany, I'd say their sales aren't too bad in that range.
And seeing that they turned WHF into a skirmish style game like lotr and that they try to copy things from that system (command points, actual balance) to 40K makes me think that they have realised it was actually their best gaming system so far

Considering helmets and shoulder pads are still in scale, I don't think FW is going to be closing it's doors anytime soon.

I'm willing to bet they make most of their money from the upgrade kits, rather than any actual full kits they made.

Someone said, that they took those things out of website because there are no plans for them to be restocked/making new molds takes bloody long time, but they should eventually come back.

Both Amon and that dual look awesome!

Makes me want some Prospero terrain as well, pretty sure FW abandoned making scenery a while back though. I miss the old CoD pieces and that Imperial Fortress they used to sell, they were incredible to look at.

Same here, except I want ALL the new minis, and can't afford them (probably doesn't help that im blowing several hundred on Eldar models next).

I think the T-sons are by far the best Legion they have put out so far. Strictly speaking about the models. Every single release is a 10/10.

Forge World and the New Warhammer 40,000

We’ve seen already today what the launch line-up for the new Warhammer 40,000 will be from our main studio (and if you didn’t then check it out here).

As well as your Citadel Miniatures, we know that loads of you love to include Forge World models in your forces or even make whole armies of these more specialised kits. Don’t worry, we have you covered.

Much like Citadel Miniatures, rules for the extensive Warhammer 40,000 Forge World range will be made available in a series of Index books. The first two of these will be available alongside the new edition of Warhammer 40,000, available to pre-order on the 3rd of June. These first two books will cover the forces of the Adeptus Astartes and their traitorous kin.

Rules for all the rest of the Warhammer 40,000 Forge World range, including the myriad xenos races of the galaxy and the massed forces of the Astra Militarum and their accompanying Imperial Agents, will all be appearing in additional Index books that set to be released before the end of June. Every single Warhammer 40,000 miniature that Forge World make today will be covered, as well as a few classic ones. Also included are rules for a few characters who do not yet have a model, such as some heroes and villains of the Badab Wars. On top of that, several units will be made available to factions that never previously had access to them, and on Wednesday this week, we’ll be taking a look at one of them when we see our first Forge World datasheet for the new edition.

For you Horus Heresy fans out there, Forge World will be announcing the future of that game system at Warhammer Fest this weekend. We’ll bring you the news from the event as it breaks, right here on the Warhammer Community site.

And Fires Of Cyraxus will release Summer 2016. I have no faith in announcements of that nature until I have my faction book in my hands.

I wonder if they will do a bundle for the complete set of faction books? Due to the way FW postage costs works I'm going to wait anyway, but fingers crossed.

Yeah, the price will be the thing - IIRC the rumour was that the GW (apprently now named as)"Index" books would be pretty cheapo relative to other GW publications of similar size, so if FW turn come along wanting £50-70 for each of these Faction Index titles that'll be a pretty big kick in the nuts to people who've already given FW a pretty significant amount of money.

Price will be one of two things, availability will be another.

I loathed having to order one or two things from FW and there are no events that are easily accessible(read: don't involve crossing half the country to get to) that FW attend.
