I have zero interest in Shadespire, but the Magore’s Fiends minis are excellent.

I wonder if the AoS open day snow did mess with there reveal time table for the Deepkin or if this was the plan all along. Maybe the beast from the east did GW a favour?

I am actually kinda disappointed with both bands. Same old, same old, even double-old as both are factions we already had in Shadespire. Did we really needed more Khorne/Stormcast before, like, 20 other possible factions?

I'd even say both are a big step backwards, not only there is zero new looking models here (you can really just convert these from existing AoS stuff in a few minutes), for all the recent talk about female Stormcast/Chaos Champions this release is 100% sausage party. Meh. Total pass.

Since anyone who actually read the Shadespire rules knew these were coming, are we really surprised?

Farstriders are going to play different to the other three, since they all are ranged. Same with the Khorne stuff playing more tanky than the current warband.

I find the lack of a Warglaive in the Chaos warband more than a little disappointing.

Snake-Girls and Deep one like beings, released side-by-side... NO, BAD GW, BAD. I can only hope I will hate their look and won't feel tempted at all to get them as well, but I have a feeling this is more like it:

I understand the disappointment but both these warbands were featured in the original rulebook including art work of the members of those warbands. It has been known for quite a while that these would be the next two warbands.
Personally I like the look of these warband a lot. It is cool that they both have pets.
Now that all the original 8 warbands have been announced, I am curious what they will do next
Will they move away from Shadespire for season two?

I'm actually slightly disappointed that it looks like the Farstrider one will be an attack rather than a 'pet' proper. But I'm still down for it, as it's MOAR VANGUARD! for me.

Probably. It's worth mentioning that when they first announced Shadespire, they talked about it very strictly as Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire, heavily emphasizing the first part. I fully expect it to be intended as a 'gametype' so to speak.

I'm interested to see how they go about the next step after all cards they've made are out. I really love shadespire so I'm excited to see where it goes

I've ported the new Shadespire warbands post over to the dedicated Shadespire N&R thread, here's a direct link to that post:

Let's continue Shadedpire discussion over there

The banter from GW’s FB page has been pretty entertaining today. Posting a “trailer” for the Idoneth, “hype boat” instead of hype train and “troggothing” when accused of trolling.

Made the end of my work day entertaining.

Considering we're only 1 week away from the Adepticon Reveal Panel, I'm expecting to see more of everything there. Last year's was the first one - that's where they announced Underworlds, 40k 8th, etc. I'd not be surprised if they had models to look at - last year, you could actually paint and keep a KO model before the release if you went to the painting class.

Been Around the Block

Is the consensus on releases something like the following:

17/3 Pre-order Forgebane
24/3 Pre-order Necron Codex
31/3 Pre-order Blood Bowl / Necromunda / Other
7/4 Pre-order Deepkin

Might just be wishful thinking on my part but is there anything else we are aware of pre Deepkin?

Blood bowl team might be very soon, but Necromunda/Shadespire might take a while since they just got new content in Feb.

Seems quite possible that Codex-only releases will share a date with Specialist Games stuff.

We know what's coming from the 17th to the 24th. Beyond that, nothing definitive or even really worth speculating on.

The Garden Of Nurgle

We'll see the Idoneth Deepkin in 6 days at Adepticon I'm 99.99% sure of that. And that's beyond great.

For their true release date, the old rumors from January said April-May, which I still totally believe. If it's such a big release size wise, it may even lasts 1.5 month.

Ouch, only seven kits kinda hurts. It's better than Fyreslayers with their 3 normal kits and 5 character kits (assuming at least 1 of the generic single builds are units) but not as good as the Overlords with their 6 unit kits (that made 7 entries) and 6 Characters.

We'll have to see. Still excited.

The generic Characters/Unit kits are the interesting thing to me. They could potentially be anything from an infantry kit with a possible character build to a multi build large monster.

It really depends, seven kits can go a long way if the warscrolls for them are designed well. The entire Daughters of Khaine faction only has six, FEC only has four. Neither of those factions feel incomplete despite that.

Assuming the mistweaver is part of the range, with two dual build kits it will be very similar to the Slyvaneth range which also has two named characters, two multi build kits (kind of) and a total of 8 kits. Both ranges also have a dedicated scenery kit. We have about five days till the adepticon preview. I hope we get an animated trailer like the Daughters of Khaine ones at the weekend.

Mistweaver Saih and the Tenebrael Shard both, unless they have since changed things, were heavily implied to be part of Malerion's Shadowkin.

I'm not sure how I'll feel if these Aelfs aren't what I've been hoping for. I've been kinda down on AoS lately and it's hard to really get motivated or to find an army that really clicks with me.

I'm mostly excited by how fresh these new designs are.

Bu my main hope is that Duncan's Solakian Spearmen will be where the studio decides to take new free city humans...

Totally agreed. It's not even heavily implied--they explicitly have the Shadowkin keyword and have had it since the onset.

They never had the shadowkin keyword.
