Really - I thought they had said they couldn't be bothered with Sisters of Battle until that fabled day they got new models (maybe 2019, maybe not)?
I could see Sisters of Silence in the meantime - but they might cut down on possible options as with everyone else cos.......... reasons.

I might decide to pick up another box of Scions or the AMKT box to fill out my combat roster for when I play campaign. Something tells me you'll want models beyond your planned 100 pt KT when you're playing campaign since units may end up being out of action/killed that you'll need to replace with recruits. Am I right in assuming this?

"Fortis Kill Team: When you add an Intercessor (pg 85) or a Reiver (pg 85) to your command roster (and
create its datacard) you can choose for it to have
the DEATHWATCH Faction keyword instead of the
ADEPTUS ASTARTES Faction keyword. If you do so, it
gains the Special Issue Ammunition ability but you must
use the points values on page 91 for its ranged weapons."
Does that refer to the *UNIT* entry (which includes gunners and sergeant) or the *MODEL* entry (just the plain Intercessor and Reiver under their same named unit)? I'm thinking that it refers only to the model entries as the Deathwatch wargear section doesn't include weapon options specific to the other model variations (like Chainsword and Combat Blade options).

Are you absolutely certain they did? I never saw it on there and I seem to remember reading it quite soon after it went up. But even if they did, it was clearly just a mistake.

Just a cock up I expect, probably someone uploaded the wrong file. Maybe someone wanted to highlight all the cool things you can't use...
Nothing's really stopping us from taking weapon point values if they exist in another faction and using them, right? At least for friendly matches?
If you opponent agrees and they may not depending on what you take.
Yes - but would it have killed them to add say melee weapons as an option for Guard etc etc etc.

Yeah I never saw anything SOB-related there either.

100% certain that is where the pdf was found. Absolutely ZERO doubt in my mind. As I said, it was the link I shared with my group and the sisters player made several comments on their entry.
It was clearly a feth up. Just pisses me off as now the sisters player is out. Period.

Okay. Well it's an old PDF, clearly for a different game. They were clear from the start that Sisters wouldn't be in, and they previewed all the factions over the last few weeks. It was a lot to pin your expectations on.

So the next two team boxes (if they keep releasing them in the faction focus order) are dark eldar and death watch. Both have pics showing them in a death world forest kill zone and we know that's on the list so that makes sense.
Tau and Necrons have pics showing them with the defense line terrain - is that the fifth kill zone?

I wouldn't complain to get some Death World terrain and some Deathwatch Veterans. I'm guessing Dark Eldar will be Wyches (as GW seems to put them in every box set - they probably have a ton in the warehouse), but I hope it's Kabalites.
On a side note I'm reading through the rules and I found this on Page 12, paragraph 7:
"The cramped tunnelplexes of Elboryth are another war zone where kill teams prove particularly effective. Here raiding bands of Drukhari, Adeptus Sororitas, and Necrons......"
It's not proof or anything, but I think this lends credence to the idea that Sisters will be getting a Kill Team list in the future.

It seems like no brainer that they will when their new plastics come out.
These new ruins kits are excellent. Extremely modular, great cosmetic features that are also structural. One of the best scenery kits anywhere. Just missing ladders/stairs (why are there never stairs?).

They have said (on the Twitch interview with the building design chief) that these kits are just the beginning.
One of the things that was mentioned on the stream was the idea of flooring with other corner angles than 90°, to really make use of the octagonal pillar design.

A Kill Team box would be great way to tease the full SoB range. Also after reading the rest of the paragraph, tunnelplexes and catacombs? Just fluff or a hint about future content? Plastic zone mortalis kits would be amazing, although Necromunda/Rogue Trader style board tiles would be good as well.

The Sector Mechanicus Killzone came with a couple of exclusive tactic cards for Comms and Demolitions. Both of these say ‘Sector Mechanicus Tactic’.
Does that mean I can only use that tactic when playing a Sector Mechanicus mission?
The cards reference specific pieces of Sector Mechanicus terrain (and have pics of the terrain on the back). So you basically have to have that terrain piece, or an agreement to treat another piece of terrain as that piece. Orks have the same with the Galvanic Servohauler (they can use a tactic to ride the thing in the movement phase).

Yeah, except that Deathwatch Veteran kits come with Bolt Pistols, and Deathwatch Veterans can't take bolt pistols.

Pretty gutted that the heavy flamer is not an option for my Blood Angels, in spite of what is available in their kit, but it is what it is as specific Marine chapters are not really an option yet. On the other hand my Plague Marines with their wealth of special weapons, melee options and cheapo poxwalkers are very happy.
Going to play my first game this afternoon, sans CPS, hope it is fun.
Da Butcha wrote: Yeah, except that Deathwatch Veteran kits come with Bolt Pistols, and Deathwatch Veterans can't take bolt pistols.
This is incorrect. There are no bolt pistols in the DW Veterans kit. Everything that comes in the kit is an option in KT.
This. Best to check facts before mocking with Orkmoticons.

If I wanted to play Sisters I'd use the rules for SM or CSM. Veridyan as leader, flamer and heavy bolter. And for some variety either Arbites (Scouts) or Frateris Milita (cultists).
