Yeah, I wish this gak would stop. There is ONE model in the ENTIRE RANGE that has EVER had high heels. Sisters wear combat boots, just like marines do.

Actual army boot. My heel is an inch off the bottom. The Sister's boots are just fine.

In the most recent Signals from the Front Line Reece said his AdMech army dropped in cost by three digits. Of course he wouldn't specify anything further other than to say he could afford several additional units. He didn't say which units those would be of course. He also said his army is composed of less frequently used units.

That's not terribly useful information, but at least it pertains directly to the topic.

He didn't say, he made it pretty clear he wasn't allowed to say much if anything. I would guess 2k though. That's still the standard in ITC isn't it? Compared to the UK tournament scene which seems to have dropped down to 1750?

The tone of voice he used when suggesting three digits also wasn't necessarily just 100 points was fairly convincing as well. But I'm a sucker.

That's a pretty good sign. I imagine if Admech, and Grey Knights got some signficant points deductions, then it is reasonable to think Necrons followed suit.

To be honest I dont expect ANY significant changes to necrons. Only small symbolic ones that dont change anything. Maybe even a point hike on Destroyers.

So Sisters seems to be fun to play with with the Beta rules. Listening to French Wargame Studio latest video (in French obviously), they dropped some info (sorry if those are known already).

They'll get Stratagems, Act of Faith (not as good as before but still useful, one example cited was no more double movement, but instead a +3" movement instead) and Chapter Traits.

It was also stated that Acts of Faith will have it's own pool of points/powers (determined by number of units/models) and you can use them as you please using that pool.

Also one Stratagem was hinted that some models/units can use their Flamers when they get deployed (from deepstrike I'd assume). No extra range but just allow them to flame their target on the way down or something.

Overall it seems that all the possible synergy will make them fun to play with and could make tracking down the metal models to just play them for the year waiting for the Codex worth it.

Sorry I know little about Sisters so hope any of this make sense.

Belleville. They are lightweight ones. Which is just fantastic in Minnesota weather (our winters are very very bad).

Whether or not they are work boots or combat boots or ladies' dress shoes a heel is a heel. The new Sister(and your work boots) wouldn't be considered to be in "high heels," however.

Not really. There's two distinct meanings of the word here:

1.2 The part of a shoe or boot supporting the heel.
‘shoes with low heels’

1.4 (heels) High-heeled shoes.

"Platform heel shoes" are clearly the latter definition.

The shoes that the new Sister model has are clearly not platform heels, by the way. Those look more like this:

A version of the Faithful special rule returning? Sounds good to me.

We've seen one Conviction(Chapter Tactic) and a couple of Stratagems, including one that allows a post Sky Strike(Deepstrike) attack with an increase in hand flamer range. Which they will need unless they change the flamer's range or the restrictions on that particular Deepstrike.

Well... crap.

That flamer stratagem is almost certainly the seraphim one they've already posted as nothing else in the sisters army has ever had the ability to deepstrike.

As for +3 movement as a faith power, if that's accurate and everything else scales from it then they've done a Cruddace and changed faith back from infrequent and significant to frequent and insignificant - though everything except the movement has been replicated as a stratagem elsewhere for other factions it would still be a shame to lose the miraculous nature of them again.

I already said that I'll live with the nerf of Guardsmen to 5 points if it happens and admit that it's pretty likely, but what's wrong with griping with something when it's painful?
