New gsc option. Wondering if gsc bits will fit like heads and extra arms.

Is it just the fact that there is a zipper at all or just the size of it?

I think a tunic/trousers would look better, but maybe a smaller zip would work.

If this is a place to make suggestions, might I commend to you the idea of a robot humanoid army? In the deathfields you could use them as trainer infantry, mostly, but of course have a "lethal setting as well, i fthere were ever a matchup withotu enough teams.

Something like that, you could give them a variety of weapons, heads, arms, so they are utterly wacky-customizable, maybe make another entire deathfields faction. Even consider giving them a few giant (for 28mmheroic) scaled robot guys in their group just cause its whimsical, sort of maybe looking like that robot from lost in space, sort of like the rest would be something like a 1960s or earlier idea of what a humanoid robot should look like.

Don't make the torsos huge and ugly, though, I mean an ADVANCED robot army, fairly close to human proportions, but with the occasinoal tentacle robot arm or cargo lifter clamp, the occasional guy with a television for a head (cause its funny, and I could paint tiny pictures on it)

And a variety of laser weapons, machine guns, flamerthrowers, some spinning saw blade arms (that's very robot) and some sort of vibrating sword thing. Maybe some arms that have a heavier looking armor and a specialized heavier assault weapon on them.

It would be a good kit -- and if you size it right, people could kitbash something really cool using parts of robots and parts of skeletons from the greek skeleton army.

Call those kitbashes i"Unrepaired" cause they are undead repaired robotskeletons?

The zipper was raised on the Facebook thread. The response from Wargames Atlantic was that some design items always look exaggerated on the render but appear fine on the finished model.

Mad Robot have said the same in their thread when it was pointed out out that some of the head renders appear goofy or with 'big' jaws.

Man I don't wanna be mean but the more I look at them the more they look like they're from a $5 3d print patreon. Nothing about those jumpsuits makes sense.

Classic penal legion. Nice enough but of course rather unspectacular, compared to the flamboyant Grognards or Eisenkern.
I would be in for a box or two. Some prisoners and the rest turned into GSC labourers. Hope the arms and heads fit, without too much fiddling.

Oddly enough what I'd really like with Napoleonics currently is the exact opposite with Silver Bullets or whatever coming out I'd like some multipose dynamic plastic skirmishers.

Skirmishers won't work with the army builder idea, but they've already done a rather good looking box of British Riflemen. https://wargamesatlantic.com/collections/napoleons-wars/products/british-riflemen?variant=32068987519074

New Death Fields Faction: Cannon Fodder!
A new faction is coming to the Death Fields circuit: Cannon Fodder!

Although recruiters have hunted for the finest warriors of Earth and other worlds to add to team owners' stables over the centuries, not everyone is suited for the relentless and brutal never-ending cycle of battle, death, and rejuvenation that defines the Death Fields. Some refuse to fight, some slowly go insane, some just lose the will to live.

And there are the failed teams. The warriors who just can't cut it or whose strategy, training, or cunning have fallen behind new, younger franchises.

Never willing to lose revenue, teams can generate one last bit of profit by selling or trading their broken players to become part of the Cannon Fodder.

The Cannon Fodder are the misfits, rejects, rebels, and failures combined en masse to take on another team one last time. These matches almost always end in their utter defeat but the spectacle of the horde of Cannon Fodder making one last, desperate attempt for survival can generate some of the highest ratings of any match in a season.

We will have more to show over the coming weeks prior to release.

The body on the bottom right will be needing an Adidas logo and an arm holding a bottle of Vodka

All in all, not much of a fan of this kit. The zipper is weird and the only heads that fit the style of the bodies are the bald ones with the prisoner collars, which I suspect will be the ones everyone will be using. The plasma gun looks better than the ones from Les Grognards though

They are a bit Homer Simpson-shaped, but I love the utility of the design. Paint them blue, get pilots. Green, villainous henchmen. White, astronauts in training. Black and silver, space crewmen. Orange, prisoners.

I asked on Facebook and apparently gasmask heads are in!

I thought JudgeDoug asked? Anyway, they’re more like budget TV space hamlets than gasmasks, which is even better. (They remind me of the headgear Babylon 5 characters would wear when they visited Kosh.)

For me, the oversized zipper further exaggerated by the piping does not look good.

I think some of the weirdness comes from the disconnect between the legs looking like the jump suit is very heavy and thick, like firefighter turn-out gear, but the torso and arms are more form fitting like a tightish flight suit or something.

Also, if they are meant to have rifles and be fighting, somewhere to carry extra ammo (belt? Pouches?) might make them look better to me.

This is brilliant! I am using Raumjager for infantry, got the new Iron Core on order to be scions, and these guys can be conscripts, but I am tempted to do a penal legion...

Yeah, well put. I agree with this. Hopefully wargames atlantic is listening.

Looking at the Grognards heavy support kit... I think it would be really cool if you released a vehicle weapons kit with various sci-fi weapons for turrets, sponsons, pintle mounts and other little bits like smoke launchers, radar dishes etc to be used when converting other vehicle models.

It would certainly fill a hole in my shopping habits, at least.

The gasmask head is really nice. The arms are in great poses.

Also, I could always use more of those fieldcap heads. So win/win for me

Even if I don't use them -- and I could see a role for them in some sort of wierdo stuff in the empire gaurd (they might be natural inquisition acolytes or something to sprinkle into other armies to make a "mixed" chaos cult group or pdf.

Or mix a few of one and another and a third together and make a nice penal conscripts blob.

So, Deathfields factions now include:

Space French
Space Germans
Space Viking Dwarves
Space convicts

and possibly:

Space Spiders
Space Lizardmen

That looks like a pretty decent selection. Just need to fill out the options.

Wasn't there rumors of Space British and Space Americans as well?

If the cannon fodder are in jumpsuits, perhaps the helmet head with the odd decor on the front could be replaced with a construction helmet. That would be the James Bond minion look.
You Only Live Twice Finale
Diamonds are Forever

Also, as many are unhappy with the jumpsuit, have the designer look at some real jumpsuits and how they hang off the body. A resculpt may help the reception.

I am in complete agreement about the zip, though. It is way too big for the figure.

Problem is: once it's a final product, it's too late to voice concerns or change the molds.
