I'm closing in on the final stages of the Ork part of my entry! 57 models in a month is a real marathon challenge! If its okay with everyone, I'm gonna finish the painting by midnight, snap off a quick photo and then post the real photos tomorrow, because I need really food and sleep after sitting in this chair for 9 hours a day for 7 days?

Whereas, I can barely manage one!

Having problems with my photography equipment, though, so I might not even manage that. :/

Wow some awesome oldhammer stuff this month- love the old chaos warriors, sisters of sigmar, and kommandos!

One more older model for the pile (not too old, but 18 years I think?). My chaos lord

Thanks for helping me reduce the pile of shame by a few grams.

Alright, well, my Eliminators are definitely NOT done.

-I want to beef up the glow where the holographic camo is activating, and the camo itself.

-There are a few spots that could use some crack filling in the terrain/rubble.

-The lenses of the binoculars and scopes.

-A few final touch-ups here and there. (Black around the base, and there seems to be a thumbprint in the paint on the shoulder of one)

I'm going to try to get some painting done tonight and re-post, but if I don't make it I at least wanted to put in an entry.

Last second entry for me after I couldn't get decent pics of my intended one (a LotR Nazgul and Fell Beast that I've been meaning to paint for 2 years and only just got round to). This one's been sitting on the Pile Of Shame for even longer, I think I got the Wrath of Ashardalon boardgame in around mid-2015... I've got two degrees since I purchased it! :E Genuinely surprised with how it's come out for a board game piece, and a slightly dated one at that. Not nearly as fun to paint as the similar dragons from the Nolzur's Marvellous Miniatures range I've been doing a few of recently, but definitely less of a bastard than I had expected it to be.

Finished them! All 23 miniatures from Stuffed Fables, a board game about toys that come to life and fight the monsters under the bed.

Stuffed Fables miniatures

The whole set -

The heroic Stuffies. Piggle, Lumpy, Theadora, Mr Stitch, Flops, and Lionel -

The evil minions -

Three bosses. From left, Knuckle, a Snatcher, and The Dollmaker.

The two Big Bads, Skreela and Crepitus -

It was a bit of an undertaking! We finished the board game tonight as well. I thoroughly recommend it, particularly if you're looking for a dungeon crawler you can play with kids.

Those look like a lot of fun feltmonkey.

Love that activating camo DJJazzyJeff!I

Dragon does look exceptional for an older board game.

As for Deadshot doing more in a month than I think I have in years....

Well, whatever, photo equipment buggered up. Had to take crappy photos with my crappy mobile and I guess I've missed the deadline.

Ehhh.

Edit: Exodite Farseer conversion from a fan model, by the way.

Turns out 14 models in 1 month was too much for me. I will try try try to get them done this weekend but if I miss the cutoff I understand.

Nothing to see here, move along mortal.

Wow, Felt - that is amazing! That has to be one of my favourite entries from anybody, ever. Kudos!
I also love that cape, CancelledApocalypse - it looks fantastic.

I really struggled this month finding motivation. Due to iso, I'm spending about 12 hours a day in front of a laptop, so sitting down to paint after that is just too hard. I just cannot handle sitting still any longer. If it wasn't for trying to enter something every month, I don't think I would have made it...so there's some motivation right there!

Anyhow, congratulations to everybody who got finished this month...it's been great to see everyone's entries.

Here is my Nurgle warband...

Well done to everyone and see you for some retro action soon!

Thanks, Chris. They were a lot of fun to paint, and being as I was painting them so my son can enjoy playing the game with painted miniatures, I'm glad they came out well.

I love that Nurgle warband, by the way. The bright orange rust with the almost ethereal blues and greens is gorgeous. How do you get your colours so bright and vivid? I'm always trying to make my minis more colourful but can't seem to do it. Even these ones I showed my wife and she commented on how she liked the muted colours. I was trying to make them really bright!

Hoping I'm not too late to enter this massive monstrosity of a Pile of Shame! A 57 model entry? I think that's the most I ever painted in a month, never mind 2 weeks because I spent the first two weeks of April painting some plague marines!

Edit: Also proud to say I have now painted every single Ork model I own! And I have only 3 unpainted chaos models to boot!

Some amazing entries!

Feltmonkey - That game looks like a lot of fun, and your minis are awesome. I can't decide if I want to be Flops or Lumpy. Great work.

Tim - Those Mutant Cyclops Blades look Bad , blood or no.

Monkeytroll - Thanks for the shout out.

Here is a slightly updated entry. If it's too late, my pics from yesterday will have to stand, but here are a couple shots of the Eliminators with a few more details filled in.
I also took another crack at the camo. Made it a little more blotchy, as if the cape is activating in patches rather than as a wave. Not sure if I like it better or not.

Hi All

I've been a bit frustrated with the how the photos are coming out, I've taken 3 sets of photos of these guys now, playing around with different camera settings to try and show off all the highlights I did on the diamond pattern, took bloody ages so wanted people to see it.

I only manged 3 out of the 5 riders and these are only about 80% id say but finished enough for me to enter them I think.

It's been a fun little project just sadly a bit to much for me to do in the current situation.

I feel exactly the same, sitting in my garage all day working on the laptop and then looking after the kids has really taken its toll, hope everyone out there is well thats the most important thing.
