Lovely work since I last checked in folks!

Took some photos and edited them to be like a pict feed from a recent 8k vs 8k Titandeath game with some side games of Aeronautica and Titanicus.

1.5k of Legions. The Word Bearers attempt a sneaky beach landing on Death Guard's islands, but have to slink back into the red tides after getting a thoroughly bloodied nose on the now wreckage-filled and burning sands.

Also, tonks! Getting somewhere with the first 30+ ol' smokers of the Selenite 4th Home Army. Commissar tanks' flagpoles get some attachments post-painting.

Amazing work guys! Those battle shots are some of the best I have ever seen, for any game.

Love the extra detail work Sherry on those tanks! My extra bits were bodies and skull spikes, so nicer to see something a bit more prosaic. I also spot the old Epic SM banner pole you have snuck in there, awesome

My last surviving rough ridrr commissar regrouped and charged a C'tan. It was an attempt to slay a God amongst men and machines. But sadly he missed his attacks and got crushed in return

A valiant attempt nonetheless, Gitdakka

5.5k of EpicAU, IW vs. Mech, 10'x4' table. The IV legion pushed aggressively forwards into the robotic boogaloo, perhaps too deep and too greedily even, as their frontline was raked by endless rain of plasma mortars and their Mortis Warhounds blown apart by the massed Ordinatii beams. After four rounds of white-bled attrition, both sides were in broken tatters but the Mechanicum had held firmer. They had won the skies and retained their biggest guns, leaving the Iron Warriors little choice but to eventually concede the field.

No idea on points value! But most definitely over 3,000.

My Hobby Odyssey is facing a major challenge this weekend, as I fly up to Orkney Friday, and am back late on Monday.

I can cheese Friday and Monday with “just a tiny bit”. But Saturday and Sunday I think I may have to resort to army list building. So I’ll let you know then.

Finished one of the gargants!

Test paint of a Phoenix. Trying blending without an airbrush, 100% hairy brush painted. I think I probably won't go with this scheme, as even though it looks kinda cool, it took me 4-5 hours to paint, and I haven't even painted the underside. Don't really want to spend that much time on a whole squadron.

Amazing work guys! That Phoenix is just a beautiful scheme, there is something vaguely Babylon 5/Vorlon about it..

Love the Gargant Albertorius, that head fire is going to need some grots with buckets!

I have finished off some more Crusade-era Death Guard support. Mostly standard Legions stuff, the larger artillery and orange jumpsuit guys are from Vanguard Miniatures (available as soon as the store is hopefully open again!)

Now the shock of last week’s extreme unpleasantness has been accepted. I’m about ready to get back in the Hobby Saddle, so I bought a box of Fire Raptors.

Sadly not. My Dad died suddenly and unexpectedly last week.

I’m now an orphan at the age of 44. Hence not really felt or had the wherewithal to hobby.

Don’t feel bad, by the way. This is true, but it’s not something I’ve particularly broadcast.
