Wouldn't be my first choice to bring Luke Cage back. Jessica Jones took forever to go anywhere but was fun when it finally got there. Two seasons of Luke Cage felt much longer to me than three seasons of Jessica Jones and I constantly looked for other things to do while I watched it.

At least Iron Fist had the decency to end a few episodes early in its final season.

The issue with Luke Cage is that the weak points are the latter half of season 1 and the first half of season 2. You wind up with a full season of less than stellar episodes in the middle of much stronger stuff on either end.

I am also in the minority, but I really though She-Hulk was really very clever and a great take-down of the MCU itself.

The fact that it made fun of its own fans never sets-up a series for success. However, the MCU has been going on long enough that it needed the satirical take-down and piss-taking that She-Hulk delivered. Plus, it was trying really hard to reach-out to a new and different audience. Of course folks from the original audience would hate that!

Well Jessica Jones will be back for season 2 of Daredevil Born Again whether or not that leads to more Defenders or their own spin offs?

I probably would have liked it more without all the online angst surrounding it, but it also could have been funnier. Definitely some really high points but I wish there was more insane courtroom nonsense overall.

I’d recommend both seasons of Loki wholeheartedly.

Wanda vision is mostly very good, but loses steam near the end. Agatha All Along is kind of the opposite, where it’s decent fun that ends really strongly, strongly enough to be tied for my favorite MCU series.

Werewolf by Night is great.

Depending on your, uh, cultural tolerances, I’d recommend She Hulk and Ms Marvel, too. She Hulk has some good laughs and tries something new, which outweighs its weaknesses for me. Ms Marvel has a great cast, where the family and main character are the big draw for the show and the superhero stuff is just alright.

If you’ve seen all these and you still want more, Moon Knight is good enough. It doesn’t quite gel, but it has good parts. Captain America and the Winter Soldier is pretty decent, but gets dumber and dumber as it nears the end. Hawkeye was pretty similar.

Secret Invasion is hot garbage, offensive to any kind of artistic sensibility you might have, and a total waste of time. It’s not even so bad it’s good. It’s just awful.

I wanted more Wong and Madisynn, the two best characters in the series.

Wong and Madisynn could have their own 20-minute Marvel sitcom..... which would be a great change of pace for the usual MCU stuff.

I mean, the whole schtick is putting Superheroes into other genres. Why exempt the sitcom. They could call it something like..... Always Wong to cash in on that sitcom feel!

It would be very cost effective, too.

I thought She-Hulk was alright up until the finale climax which was just bad imho. Just went too far I thought.

Ms Marvel is a show full of Great characters in a mediocre story.

Secret Invasion has some ok ideas, but a truly terrible execution and pretty much directly contradicts/is contradicted by The Marvels.

It's interesting, at least. Though I do question the optics of making the young black superhero have to fund her life by crime, despite making it into major universities, and inventing easily marketable, incredibly profitable technologies. Even small scale boutique artificial limb replacements should more than fund a suit or two.

But for me, the biggest disconnect is the idea that she's a scrappy, low resource ironman.... who also has beautifully finished, polished, and painted suits. I would have loved to see gritty, functional armor instead. Ironman had limitless resources, and his gear was honed to an absurd degree, but someone without those resources should be producing good enough gear, not even sleeker, better gear.

I agree, Iron Heart looks like a missed opportunity to make a grittier Iron Man suit.

But, the producers have just cranked out another generic shiny suit.

Hood looks great honestly, but Ruri definitely doesn't feel quite right. We have already seen the scrappy suit and while I'd vastly prefer more of that, I'm curious what we see here. Mostly though I'd just like something that looks high tech but made with practical effects like the suit in the first Iron Man.

I've seen all of the MCU films, but not a heck of a lot of the TV shows.

I used to watch all the Marvel Netflix stuff, and I've been enjoying Daredevil... but I realized I've missed out on some decent stuff - but I've also dodged a few bullets.

So, what's worth watching, and what's worth avoiding?

Let's see if I can list these in the release order - without looking it up....

WandaVision - excellent
Falcoln & Winter Soldier - it's ok. Introduces John Walker/USAgent. a bit of a look at the world post-snap & return
Moon Knight - more or less Ok, but completely not related to anything
Werewolf By Night - I really like this one. Just a one off 1 episode story. Also not really related to anything. Just something happening in the MCU
Guardians Christmas Special - excellent
Hawkeye - it's OK. The best part is Fisk
Ms Marvel - OKish. a little rough plot wise. But I like the main character & her family. Her father is the banker Matt talks to in the one Born Again episode.
She-Hulk - Hmm. You're either going to like this one or hate it.... I liked it. I was entertained & I'm sad they probably won't make any more. :( I am in the minority on this one.
Echo - Eh. Not good, not bad
Secret Invasion - this is the turd of the bunch
Agatha - Higher end of OK. It follows from Wandaision, but you don't really need to have seen that one.

The "What If..." seasons. - pretty good over all. Tells a complete story.

Missed the Loki tv shows there - they introduce the TVA (useful for Deadpool & Wolverine) but otherwise non-critical. But they are very good.

Gunna disagree. Loki is probably the most critical thing they have released since infinity war. It sets all the stakes for the multiverse saga. We are literally building towards the consequences of and aftermath of the end of loki season 2 right now.

You would have to blame that on the creators of the comic book.

Which I would say is a weak argument since they've shown to completely disregard the source material for a lot of origin stories for the MCU, so it's weird that they've chosen to keep that aspect.

I have a feeling it won't do that well. Thunderbolts has given the MCU a bit of a shot in the arm it needed but MCU fatigue is still alive and the tv shows are still taking the brunt of that. Daredevil: Born Again hasn't gotten nearly the chatter the original series generated and, fair or not, for many this is going to come across as "We have Iron Man at home". All of that is before you get into the internet social commentary aspect of some people disliking it because it is a black woman and the other group that will rebut any criticism as racism/sexism.

So get your popcorn ready and strap in.

Apart from the ones already mentioned by others, there is also the "Centipede Serum" from Agents of Shield, The stuff they did to Luke Cage, The Hybridized Hydra/Soviet serum they were using to make all the new Winter Soldiers in CA Civil War. Oh, and the slightly altered Hulk Formula given to Thunderbolt Ross to make the Red Hulk. Are we counting the EXTREMIS injections from Iron Man 3?

After having watched Thunderbolts*,I have a question. There are no "Avengers" anymore (well, kinda). I know A LOT of the original Avengers are missing, but can we confirm where they are/ what happened to them?

Dead: Tony Stark, Black Widow, Wanda, Vision, Black Panther, Quicksilver

Off-World: Thor, Captain Marvel, Guardians,

Retired: Hawkeye, Captain America

Still kicking: Spiderman, War Machine, Sam Wilson, Winter Soldier, Dr. Strange

Hulk is technically back (with his son) since the end of Shehulk, right?

Anyone I'm missing?

I know the ending mentioned that Sam copywrote "Avengers" and thinks he owns it. A team with Spiderman, War Machine, Sam Wilson, Winter Soldier, Dr. Strange, and Hulk wouldn't be horrible, and that's before recruiting in any of the new heroes from the TV shows.

I mean, not really? About the only similarities they share are being a woman (in Samus' case, barely human at all at this point) and having sci-fi looking armour.

On that, in order of Deadness?

Tony Stark/Iron Man. Not coming back without multiverse shenanigans.

T’challa. Not coming back without a recast. Which doesn’t rule out multiverse shenanigans. However with Black Panther being a mantle rather than an individual, I feel it would be in rather poor taste at this stage, all things considered.

Quicksilver - like Tony Stark, not without the multiverse, wouldn’t necessitate a recasting. But then, Wandavision

Vision - Already back. You can’t kept a good Mandroid down it would seem.

Black Widow. Once again, not without a Multiverse.

Wanda - no multiverse required. The death just isn’t concrete enough to require. And I’m sure that like Sigourney Weaver and Ellen Ripley? There’ll be a big enough stack of cash to tempt Elizabeth Olsen back.
