I hope any falcon update closely mirrors the mark II upgrade kit that forgeworld did.
It just makes the hull and turret a little bit sleeker and is broadly similar to the current fire prism and scorpion tank design.

Preparing the Invasion of Terra
|
The same article has revealed what I think everyone had guessed by now was Garreon Corpsemaster:
The paint job keeping the Apothecary white isn't what I would choose, but the fact that the armour has clear Mk6 and Mk7 parts mixed with the classic Chaos vibe parts is a good sign the rest of the Corsairs will be faithful to the idea they are still recent Renegades.

Don't miss the following comment from the bottom of the article...
* The Red Corsairs are not the only piratical force abroad across the stars… we’re hearing that there might be even faster and pointier pirates about too, but you’ll have to wait a little longer for full news on that.

If that is a man of Iron, I'd love to eventually see a bit of fluff about it meeting up with UR-025. Whether it's a full-on fight or long-lost brothers embracing, both would be cool.
Also, what's that guy in the picture, third from the right? It looks like he's sitting on a mini Throne of Judgement, like a folding chair with Sentinel legs.

The shotgun looks spot on, for sure.
Regarding the powerfist thingy, its close, but there’s better (but still distorted/pixelated) pics of the retinue floating about and the Huron retinue guy doesn’t seem to have the triangle graphics, and the silohuette seems to have a closed fist, while the rumor pic seems semi-open hand.
Could be it, as its very similiar, but it seems just slightly different.

It's probably some sort of Magos (remains to be seen if only a renegade or truly of the Dark Mechanicus variety) on an abeyant. There's a HH special character (Drekavac or something) that hat one that's more massive, but these things are probably very much custom-built by their owners. Alternatively, it could also be some naval character, to represent the "pirates" theme on the tabletop.

The Silhouette, second from the left, is definitely a terminator. You can see the cable behind the knee. He'd holding a Chaos Ax though. So New Chaos Terminators, or perhaps a Terminator Character.

Putting the interesting speculation aside?
I bloody love that rogue Apothecary. From the demented, worryingly joyful grin, down to the nice merging of Loyalist and Chaos Aesthetics.
The Narthecium is a thing of genuine beauty, being notably bulky with just a hint of “this is actually more ‘urty than it absolutely needs to be”.
My sole criticism, and something that probably fairly easy to “fix”? I’d have had a Loyalist all hacked and mangled and his bottom burned off at his feet. But even then? That grin isn’t suggestive of someone there to help you. It’s someone stoked they get to play Doctors & Sadists once again.
All the tools work nicely together, suggesting different purposes for each, but in a way that doesn’t clash.
Its just beautifully realised. Automatically Appended Next Post: I’m also liking the so far common design element of a curved notch in the right pauldron.
Huron has it, this lad has it, and so does his patient/victim.
I don’t think we’ve seen that on other Astartes?

It's a Chaos thing, bunch of the shoulder pads have it.
Also having the Corsair on the base is to tie it to the fact Garreon likes performing surgery on live subjects just for kicks, Loyalist or otherwise.
Bile is a mad scientist cos he makes crazy creatures, Garreon is a mad scientist because he really really likes to cut things open.

I agree. You can see what each tool is doing, and none of it is nice. My only issue with it is how fragile it will be.
I think the silhouette of the dude on the floaty platform is some kind of renegage Admech. You can see some Admech-style techy bits.
This is shaping up to be quite a cool bunch of models.
