No, my chaos and Lizardmen are only Primered. I had a bit of luck with the Nids... and when I say a bit, I mean I ignored any small detail, and focused more on painting their carapaces and their fleshy bits... And their tongues, when needed.

Until I go into 40k I never painted before, I was always a sketch artist. With my overly shaky hands, its hard for me to paint the models, so I end up just base coating them, and saying my army is just a black army, not unpainted xD.

Which is why, as of late, I've been trying to purchase already painted models, even if my entire army clashes with itself. BUT it still looks better than just all black minis.

Takeshinshin, You can certainly buy painted figures,(I sell them)
But I think that a shaky hand can work well with dry brush techniques,(constant motion)Especially the nids orks or creatures like chaos.

Example; a nid primed black then take your lob of green or purple or whatever "major" color your using and make three piles of it(not all once unless you have a spray bottle to keep your piles moist.)

1.the first pile has a tiny bit of black. (or darkness in it,some people like to mute instead of darken)
2.the 2nd pile is pure (or watered down but same color as out of tube or bottle.
3 the third pile has a bit of white (or EVEN BETTER has a bit of a lighter color, red for purple, yellow for green, white for yellow)

Apply them in that order reducing coverage as you go.
Alot of 1.
some of 2.
a little of 3.

And here is the part I think is really important. Never touch the figure after getting paint on the brush. Always blot or swipe your brush load on napkin or paper first, just enough to dry out(not completely wipe off) the paint on the brush. ALWAYS!!!

Its a fantastic looking way to waste paint. when you understand that phrase, you get drybrush. (of which I am NOT a master but hopefully this helps)
P.S. dry brush over wash looks better than wash over drybrush depending on matte or gloss.
