I have been wanting to do a blog for a while so here goes.

My idea is to build a fully themed army for all four gods of chaos, but I also want a chaos undivided army and a monster (read troll) army.
So that is 6 armys in total for chaos warriors, not to mention deamon and beastmen alies.
So here are some pics of what i have done so far and I will try to keep this updated as I progress down the dark path of chaos.

Here are some pics of the chaos oger conversions that started it all again for me. I have 12 more to do for my troll army.

Next up are the chaos Warhounds, I usualy use them in 4 units but they look really good all in one unit.
I have also done a unit filler to look like a handler in the back of the unit. I still have a few more to do.

The next thing I made was a chaos war shrind with the mark of tzeench.
It is made mostly out of plastic card and bits but I think it does the job nicely.

The First actual Unit for my Tzeentch themed army that I finished was this unit of marauder horsemen.
Aside from building a chaos army I wanted each gods followers to be diffrent from each other.
In my head they are not all just the same no matter what god they follow.

The majority of my army will be converted as I plan to use all the modles I have collected over the years.

For my tzeench army which is the one I am doing first, they are warrior schollars, trained in the art of using their mind just as much as their bodies as wepons. I had the idea that the marauders would be more like accolites from a temple or collage of dark learning, rather than savage barbarins.

my marauder horsemen have golden masks to hide their face and represent the many faces of Tzeench. All the runes are hand painted on.

The champ is an old dogs of war modle I have had for a while. i feel she fits in with the idea of using your mind as a weapon.
I still need to make a movement tray for this unit.

My second unit for my Tzeentch army is almost finished.

It is a unit of 40 marauders with ahnd weapons and sheilds.

I have had fairly good results with these guys on the battle feild.
The only problem was them sliding all over the place. But this has been fixed, they have a metal movement tray and are all magnatised.

these guys use parts from high elves, empire, marauders and bretonia. the sheilds are just buttons painted.

These are WIP. I still have to finish highlighting the gold, finish the champ, and then add weeds and grass to the bases and movement tray.

You shouldn't post everything at once, you post things over time to sweeten the deal!

All kidding aside, you have an impressive Chaos army. I particularly like the Tzeentch units, great kit-bashing and good palette. They make me think of a kingdom that worships Chaos without the effects being so outward, making it all the more sinister.

Looks pretty good. Only gripe is the white seems very clean, almost like fresh linen from drycleaners, but you said its still a WiP so maybe that'll go away

Just simply amazing. It's nothing near what I expected, but it's a unique and tasteful spin on the Warriors of Chaos.

I think these look great. Nice work. Crisp and clean. Just the way I like it. Love the Warhounds btw.

My next unit will be a converted chaos warrior unit with great weapons or they may be chosen I am not sure yet I'll post a pick and you can tell me what it looks like.

I played a game on Tuesday night and the guy I played was also using chaos. I thought it would have been an even match but the gods were against him cause his dice rools were unbeleviably bad, wheen he needed any thing but a 1 or 2 he got them. Now i know that happens but 8 dice out of 9 come on. Anyway aparently this happens to him all the time which is bad cause he seems like a nice guy. When i got home I decided he needed to change his luck so i am converting a Modle of Vilithc the curseling to help him. I also want one for my army so this will be good practice. What do you guys think? obviously it needs green stuff but i think the basic structure is all there.

The Chaos Ogres are quite good as well. Your painting style is really crisp, it's nice to see some sharp contrast & bright colours!

Wow, great work! Can't wait to see how the followers of the other gods contrast to the Tzeentchies.

Must say that as a grognard I appreciate your greatweapon warriors a lot: they remind me of Aekold Helbras, possibly the most interesting Tzeentch champion ever (he brought things to life everywhere he went: wooden spears growing leaves, dead men rising astonished, etc. etc.).

And that chaos shrine is truly badass. Nice work.

@ Savnock. Yeah Aekold Helbras was the inspiration for them. i will eventualy make a modle of him as an exalted champ. I am also working on Ergimm van horstmann on dragon as the lord for this army.

This is fantastic work. My favourites are the beast master dude with the two hounds (like the paint job on those, real hellhounds) and the really cool (and imaginative) theme of your tzeentch army. Really inspiring.
Your freehand runes are awesome. My only criticism would be the faces on some of your minis, but then, I can't do any better myself.

Amazing stuff, that warshrine is excellent and I love the chaos ogre unit.

1 minor suggestion from me is to make the pupils in the eyes of the ogres just touch the upper or lower part of the eye rather than just a central dot, as they currently look extremely dilated.

So i have been busy on the weekend but I managed some time to finish a few things off.
First of is the marauders unit, bases done and gold highlited.

I also finished green stuffing the Vilitch modle.

I have a game on Tuesday and I wanted to try some thing new so I threw this together last night, I still have a lot more to do with green stuff etc, but I thought it looked cool, and if worst comes to worst it could be a chaos troll if i need one.

What do you think?

I like the flying library of death, nice idea and conversion.

I like the 'Vilitch' (?) model, but I'm not sure what he's supposed to be... Does he have a familiar or something?

As for the Rat Ogre w/ Cold One heads, I think the difference in texture (skin & fur vs. scales) is too striking... Have you considered using a River Troll body instead? They have some scales too...

@ Yggdrasil. Vilitch is a special character for the Warriors of chaos army. He is a demented twin that Tzeentch fused to his stronger chaos warrior twin brothers body. He is a Lv 4 wizard but also has some awsome fighting stats.

As for the coments on the spawn, I will green stuff some scales etc on to it, I have a long way to go yet.

For the spawn, I still say you'd spare some time with River Trolls...

So I gave my friend the modle of vilitch the curseling, he was impresed. Which I thought was good. But now I need to make one for my army. I have a bit of a delima. do i make a duplicate one as I have already made or make one which fits the theme of my army better. In other words, make one using a chaos warrior as the base like I did For him, or use a high elf converted to look like a chaos warrior like I have done for the rest of my army.

Looking good mate! Liking the none black barbarians in the snow chaos look. The Chaos hounds unit filler is really good and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your Chaos armies. As for the Vilitch model I'd go with an elf so it matches the rest of your army.
