Wow, you guys are good at soaking up my marines! I won't have any left soon. Those that are getting one of my marines, I have to say the painting on them is going better than I thought (some of the best I have painted for a very long time)

Oh and WM, I shall see how the first few swaps go, like I said I would like to have some of my DC remaining before the week is out

Here is my progress on Arakasi's "Bug Boy" nob to date. Basic paint work is looking pretty done (base excepted of course). Have a lot of free-hand detail to add, as well as weathering and damage to the "looted" marine armor. If you look carefully I did add one gouge on the left leg and one on the left shoulder pad. They're OK... not great. Need to get better at this and get some ideas for technique. I know Migs and grey_death have done some fantastic work with chipping and wear on their marines... need to spend some time eyeballing their work for clues. Anybody have any suggestions I'm all ears.

You'll note that the blending on the orkified marine armor is actually better than any of the blending on my actual marines... LOL... typical. Actually I tried a new technique (for me) with the blending and it seems to have worked pretty well, so as with most of these projects... when you push yourself beyond your normal comfort zone... you usually end up learnin' something useful!

Just to reveal my self i have followed this thread from day one always looking at the pics you guys put up truly all of you do amazing and i think its really cool you are nice and trust worthy enough to mail them about and such. Over all very cool stuff going on here. Its been a pleasure.

monkeytroll I should have your ork done by friday so I'll send your a pm when I need your address. Also I'm trying out a new ork skin tone so I hope you like it. I use Orkhide Shade, Knorloc Green, Goblin Green and Scorpion Green on most of my orks but I wanted to try something new.

Next I have whalemusic360, sageheart and Arakasi in line so which ever of your 3 are ready to trade next let me know and what you want and I'll start working on that next.

If anymore want to trade let me know. I'm gonna try and do a trade model a week if time permits. I have marines also. My custom chapter are The Knights of Gulliaman. Main color Orange Sub Color Blue. So if you want a marine for an ork I can do.

Thats a big weird about the customs and excise thing lenny?! Never had that happen and I've often bought in from abroad. Maybe they confused you with someone else?

Nah I've never had it happen before either. I'm going to contest it not really sure what else I can do really.

I have recived TWO packages today(these things take their time to get here huh?), well, notifications that I have them in the PO..

The PO however, wont let me get them as theres a fee if its a 'bussines related' product, and I need to take my dad or someone adult with me to try to get them to understand that it's a G-I-F-T...

Had to extend the base a bit, if you post a close up of one of yours I'll try to match it, if not he'll get what he gets, although I don't think it'll be a mile off yours anyway And he may end up facing the other way, not sure which works best yet, but he this is the only way he'd stay on without blu-tac

I know which basic design I'm going for now (unless it changes ), but there's still a bit of fine-tuning with a couple of pieces, hence why it may look like there's too many choppy bits in there (if there is such a thing as too many choppy bits).

Gits - that is awesome man, just realised I didn't mention it in my last post, that yellow is ace.

still need to prime yours and get a pic of yours monkeytroll. mideterms are up so may take me a while, and my gf is dropping out so may lose a camera :(

What????? I have no idea! Did they give you any other information as to what the charge was for? It was in a USPS box and it weighed next to nothing, I have no idea what they would charge you for. Did they not like my customs form?

Thought I'd post this to give everyone a laugh & make y'all feel better about your green stuff skills. An00bis's marine needed an Inquisitorial shoulder pad for my Deathwatch squad & I didn't want to tear it apart to replace the pad, so I attempted to green stuff the "I" on my own.

It looks OK from a distance, but close up... uugh. Maybe I can find a good skull somewhere to cover the middle up.

it isnt awful, great try! i would look for a skull for the middle!

I won't waste another pic on it but I made it better. Thinned out all the cross-bars and it looks much nicer now. :-)

Ok monkeytroll here is a wip on the painting so for. So far just the base colors so far. no washes and and details yet.

And I'm down when you are ready Gitz.
