@ HF Izanagi - It would appear not... Some more Zealot love below.
@Whalemusic360 - Your wingy wishes are my command... perhaps. See below.
@Winnertakesall - Man, you need better things to do in bed
@tipios - Missile launchers are indeed the most awesome thing in this or any other world!
A touch more progress. My new Pig Iron heads turned up today, so on they go for trials!
The Scouts and Vultire bikers will share one of the designs as follows:
I've also sleeked down the bike by removing the gems and Eldar wings. I think it makes it look a bit more maneuverable at low level. Also added a weapon mount for a melta-gun. I don't think you could pilot a hover-bike at the same time as manually aiming and firing a rather heavy weapon, so automated head following turret it is
I've yet to work out how I want the melta to look, but it will certainly use that mount system.
Also with a head trial are the Zealots:
And while I rather like the effect of the helmet they are rather overshadowed by my accidental find about the Tau helmets, so here are the first 3 zealots almost finished (being led by a rather Jim Raynor shaped Belial )

Coming from a SC2 player and a huge fan of conversion, great work! I wish I could do some of these myself. (I'm thinking about doing a Goliath soon).
For the medic, could you use her as an apothecary, or are they not allowed in Deathwing? I've never read the Dark Angels rules.
I'm really looking forward to the Siege Tank Vindicator, but is there any chance you can throw some Zerg into the mix? Making a converted Zergling swarm would probably take too much time and effort, but a Hydralisk made from a Nid Warrior and maybe an Ultralisk if you're feeling really ambitious would give them some enemies to stomp.
More Protoss stuff would be awesome as well. Zealots are all nice and good, but will be ever see an Immortal or a Dark Templar? Those are probably my favorite Protoss units.
Anyways, good luck in future conversions, I'm really looking forward to seeing them when they're done!

Aaaah.. the eternal problem of getting paint on my models. All I can say is that it will happen at some point
@Joshh - Thanks Deathwing can have a medic in a single Terminator squad if Belial is along for the ride, so she will indeed grace the field of battle at some point! I'm really trying to use this project to make a usable force. Also I've never been that taken with Tyranids, and to be honest Tyranids and Zerg are already so close to each other it wouldn't be that much of a challenge

I request a spider mine on one of the bases of the vulture, which look great. I'm trying to think of some closer Ghosts. Maybe something from the IG line? I'll crawl around some this weekend. I've play SC about a zillion hours more then SC2, so I can offer much more on the things in 1, not that I think the things from 2 are bad, just unfamiliar.

Though I cringe a bit at the implications of SC2 marines being terminators compared to vanilla marines, I must say that this is all very well done. The conversions are good, and the counts-as are as well. Well done.

Thanks all.
@Whalemusic - Spider mines are an ace idea (goes to scavenge through bitz box). With the Ghosts its mainly the camo cloaks I think. I trawled through Google images for references and the general build and pads look close to the standard Scout look, but I needed to get the Sniper box set and that mainly comes with the Cloaks. Again the helmets are a bit out, but I wanted to use the new PI system trooper helmets 'cause they're awesome I guess these Ghosts are just slightly differently equipped to the normal guys.
@Zomjie - I did think about doing a Viking, but it was looking a lot more difficult compared to the Goliath that I ended up with. I may ponder further, however, as I was originally limited in Elite slots by running 2 squads of scouts. Now though I'm much happier with the idea of Vultures instead of scouts.
@ph34r - I was about to agree, and in terms of background you're entirely correct, however considering the casualty count in a typical game of 40k (even with Terminators) its not too far away in practice

Not sure if its luck or psychosis, but I ahve collected an awful lot of randmo bits of plastic over the past few years
However this means I can do things like... Spider Mines for no additional cost
Pretty simple using a Tau drone weapon mount and 4 toes from Crisis Suit feet (that I had already partially cannibalised for my Stalkers).

Thanks Monkeytroll!
With the mines I went as simple as I could think of. I guess you could get better mechanical legs (I was thinking of Scarabs originally), but at that scale I don't think anyone would notice
The vultures will be bikes. The squad will have 3 guys with 2 meltas, hence the rear turret thingy. The sergeant might have additional comms in the same slot to represent the teleport homer (the main reason to take the bikes).

Thanks guys. @Crom - Sorry, no Zerg here. For a start they won't fit into the army and secondly there is little modelling challenge considering that the current Tyranid range is heavily Zerg inspired anyway (and vice versa of course) Well my long weekend finished and I'm back to work, hence the much slower pace recently. However I have whomped up most of my Diamondback. Its not an exact copy and should probably be conisdered an "inspired by" rather than a "counts as" The main constraint was that I had a land speeder kicking about as I only needed the Typhoon missiles for the Goliath. From that basis I landed on the Diamondback being the closest match in SC2. Its a fast skimmer with an anti-armour loadout. Pretty close to a Landspeeder with Multi-melta. Now the Diamondback has twin railguns on a rather large top mounted turret that I wasn't really going to be able to fit on my Landspeeder so I had to fiddle the main armament a bit. Rather than trying to crowbar multiple multi-meltas on there I plumped for a twinned pair of Tau fusion blasters, but they should get the point across sufficiently clearly. The Assault cannon is magnetized just in case its needed Now the other key feature of the Diamondback (if you check the link above) is the prominent grav-plates fore and aft. I've tried to get the same effect with some plasticard, but I am a little worried it looks more like a water-boatman than an assault skimmer Oh well, Its about as good as I can get without a hell of a lot more effort so it will probably stay as currently. And speaking of currently, on with the pics! The turret is magnetized to allow rotation and easy removal. Things yet to do are to fix the grav-plates in place (the rear plates are likely to shuffle forward a bit more) and to armour up a cockpit for the pilot. The diamondback always seemed to be more of a single person skimmer and Landspeeders are bizzarely not open topped so an enclosed pilot position should work pretty nicely. Automatically Appended Next Post: I nearly forgot!
I got tracks!
Now I need to try and use them for something siege tank shaped
