This isn't actually an update, as I haven't done anything, I just want to show some pictures of this model I have, a Grenadier Lizardman type thingy.

what is that, cant tell

Its a 1988 Grenadier Lizardman with a gun...someone asked to see a picture of it, so I posted it...as I don't know how to PM pics. It has a code M265. I really have no idea where it came from, as I have never bought any Grenadier and didn't know they existed till about 3 months ago.

Oh my goodness - that's what I was thinking of, thank you for posting these pics! This figure is re-worked from another sculpt that was first produced for Grenadier's Dragon Lords boxed set, index number 2010, called 'Horrors of the Marsh.'

I believe (but can't confirm) that this figure here came from a later Grenadier set from their 'Lost Lands' series. I have not been able to find pics of that set. This is awesome! A little restoration this little guy would rock.

I like his base - It is all swirly. like a marsh maybe?

Yeah, like mud or something I guess, all of the original set have that style base.

This fig is a weird combination of two of the original set, upper half from one, lower half from another. Mano: You should hang on to it, although it's probably valuable only to maniacs like me who drool over old Grenadier minis.

Just to say that I haven't forgotten about my little project and I will get a decent update by Friday.

No idea what to do with that lizardman...I have no idea how much it is worth, of it is the only one I have (trouble from living 14k km away from my geeky bedroom....

All I can say is that it is defo holding a gun (has a powder barrel) and is one miniature, so it was cast the way it was if you know what I mean...

Does anyone know what I should be looking for in a air spray thing? Or a good way to paint vehicles?

Imperial Vehicles?

- Edge highlighting
- Learn how to to rust, Mud, & battle damage.
- Freehand insignia *can* be amazing. But they can also suck if not well planned or designed.
- just because it's a vehicle doesn't mean you shouldn't thin your paint!!!!

If we were talking eldar I'd tell you to to blending and fade colours across the surface... But I don't think that would suit the imperials

Here is an update!

They don't look too bad I think. I am not very good at finishing things so I am glad to finish 2 last night. The Catachan Captain and the Brains of the Last Chancers (who I am going to use as Imperial Medic type)...

That burnished gold looks like its gone off!

the models are looking good - they have a very realistic palete. My favourite has got to be the beastman champ with plasma pistol and chains saw but that bald guardsman with the tube comming outa his head is cool - who is he? he doesn't look familiar.
Really want one of those beastmen champs! I will have to bid higher on them...

yeah he is pretty cool - judging by the shape of the bolt pistol he is a newer model; 3rd edition or later. A lot of wings would suggest dark angels or blood angels and seeing as he is already painted black im going for dark

That marine is one of the veterans from the first vet box set. Definitely going to have to get me some of those beastmen sometime.

Those are some nice models. I would say shake that pot of gold like hell... then throw it out- ooo, OR convert it.
